It benefits one's interests to kill the bandit that you met who has a bigger, shinier gun than you.

Putting the Good Stuff in OUR Hands
Stompopolos replied to G0V3RNM3NT4L's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
We are people who want to play. We take our own time and resources to hunt them, and they get a more interesting and exciting experience. Oh and we're bandits, most of us actively seek out fights, so we're all used to dying and losing our stuff. No point crying over spilt milk. And by the way, if you were all standing over our bodies, then you would most likely get taken down by a bandit clan with snipers who just couldn't resist all the loot to be had by ambushing a big circlejerk of the kind of dropped-as-babies idiots that would stand around together in DayZ. Any more points you want me to tear down? -

Top idea. What say we organise one of these robberies now? -
He's already picked a new one if you hadn't noticed.

Wow. Did not see that coming.

This simply would not work. We are bandits. We kill for loot by nature, so when you're surrounded by a whole load of better equipped dudes, what's to stop you from silently taking one down with your hatchet, taking his loot, stealing a ute and driving off. I may have misread, but the way I understand it is that you want us to live and cooperate together. Asking random people on the internet to cooperate is a big thing, it's even less likely to happen when these people are defined by their tendency to kill each other for stuff. Will. Not. Work.

Ambush, ask him very nicely over voice chat to drop his weapon, AK74 trained on his back the whole time, lead him to a secluded spot (after picking up his weapon), get him to administer the transfusion , and then leave him since it's pointless to waste my ammo on someone with no supplies. Maybe even recruit him if he's that nooby, teach him the ropes and become partners in banditry, until I feel he's not quite trustworthy. Then his story ends.

Sniping for Fun Isn't Banditry
Stompopolos replied to G0V3RNM3NT4L's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Cold-cut murder? I would never do such a thing! However, I am happy to kill people if I need their stuff. Otherwise I steer well clear of other players altogether (sadly I am in my teens, so everybody else still thinks CoD ersh bersht germ erver, so I've got no mates to play with >.<) . This Gentlemanly Bandits Club sounds like a proper idea. Indubitably. -
First a little guilty, then pleased and proud, then hollow and empty as his friend stepped out from behind cover and put a full M4A1 SD clip into my smiling face.

To the two people who I killed at Chernogorsk
Stompopolos replied to Zeorsq's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I think that might have been me. I heard some shots and looked around for a full 10 minutes, then continued looting, I saw someone a while later and shot, knowing there was a good chance this person might be hostile. I was prone across the road and you were crouched behind a car? If only I had some ammo in my Lee Enfield, you wouldn't be posting this :P. Nah, you were a good shot. I was at least happy that I'd scored 2 chest shots on you and put you in a bit of a pickle... then I remembered my pack was full of bandages and painkillers >.< -
I had a fun day today. I spawned fresh, new to the game, this being my second attempt at life. I had no weapons, no food and no drink. After getting my bearings, I headed inland for a while, eventually coming across a small village. I snuck into a few buildings, my heart pumping, my ears perked up and listening to see if the heavy breathing of the zeds turned into screaming. I found a Makarov, some beans and a can of coke, which I immediately consumed. After a close scrape with a few zeds, in which I lost 4 and a half thousand BP, i bandaged up and set off inland again, sticking to the forests, but all the while I kept a watchful eye on the road. I found another village, but that was pushed out of my mind by the sight of another survivor. I considered pot-shotting, but decided against it, as I only had 2 mags and this person appeared to have a rifle. I once again crept in to town, looted the barn and found a Winchester 1886, as well as a copious amount of 2rnd slugs, pasta, and carbonated beverages. I set off into the wilderness once more, switching the roles from last time I left a town by hunting the zombies. After a blind hike through the dark I realised I had gone entirely the wrong way, and was now at the coast (doh!). Betraying every instinct I had and every piece of advice I had been given, I set off along the coast. I was armed, I was cocky, and I was absolutely terrified. The sun broke over the horizon just as another small town came into view. I heard gunshots and instantly went prone behind a bush. I pushed myself up into a crouch, barely able to breath, afraid this stranger would home in on the sound of my racing heartbeat from across the field. He didn't look too friendly, at any rate. I crawled through the long grass, every fibre of my being screamed at me to turn around. Of course, being the sensible, level-headed young man I was, I disobeyed and crawled closer. I was now within shooting distance, so I propped myself up, drew my Winchester, and rolled out of cover. I was disoriented by the tumble, but luckily the mysterious prey had not yet noticed me. At this stage I noticed his friend, a figure in a gillie suit, armed with an M4A1 SD. After briefly panicking about this new arrival, I thought "Buck it" and took aim. My crosshairs lined up at the top of the first stranger's head, I held my breath... and squeezed. I was once again surprised at how quiet this shotgun was, but I pushed the thought from my mind as I waited for the results of my shot. A gasp escaped my lips, which had been set in a grim line, as the figure toppled to the ground. A quick glance at my stats told me the shot had not been fatal. However, I knew the only way this guy was surviving was if his friend bandaged him up right that second, which would allow me to take both of them out and get some good loot as well. His better equipped friend snapped round towards me. I quickly rolled back into cover, praying to whatever God that would let Chernarus fall into such a state that I had not been spotted by the dark figure. I muttered "game over man, game over" as the hiss of a silenced weapon filled the air and clouds of dusts flew up around me as the bullets penetrated the earth at such a frightening speed that I knew I was done for. I crawled to another bush, concealed by the long grass, and went up into a crouch behind it. I leant out, but the figure had advanced. I was spotted, and he fired another burst through the bushes. I lay crippled on the ground, legs broken, blood near empty, and thoroughly happy, for I had noticed that my murder count had gone up. "Your friend is dead," I whispered through my parched lips, "and you could have saved him." The mysterious figure stopped and turned around at my words, staring at his friend's lifeless body, no doubt wondering if he could have dragged his friend to safety and bandaged him up. This pause gave me just the window of opportunity I needed to put a slug his back. He dropped to the ground, dead as a doorknob, and I crawled over to search him for medical supplies. There were none. I had shot a survivor looking for medical supplies, his friend's heart had sunk as he realised that his partner was down, and his only thought was revenge, even if it was his last act. It was. Murder count at 2, I passed out from blood loss, and never woke up. My last thought was "How bucking badass am I?". So, I hoped all you bros liked my cool story. Also, I just wanted to mention this is a dramatisation of events. What really happened was I came across a guy, shot him, his friend shot me, I killed the guy that shot me, shat myself as I realised that the inevitable was happening to me, then died deciding that I wanted to be a bandit.

Is it bad to kill a fellow bandit?
Stompopolos replied to Fluffy Banditt's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Wait, so there is a bandit and a survivor, with the exact same gear? Well, since I'm a bandit I'd kill both of them, but I'd kill the bandit first, because I know he's more likely to shoot me. -

Rocket has said that he has already out a fix in an upcoming patch. it will most likely be a disconnect timer of some sort. Also, a lot of servers are making Alt+F4 open up your commands instead of quit. -

*sniffle* I'd like to thank God, my mum, my dad, my brother, my girlfriend, all the people who loved and supported me throughout this journey. But most of all I'd like to thank YOU, Mike Walker! I'd like to thank you for this great honour! God bless you Mike Walker! -

Probably not very wise to ask for assistance from an anonymous stranger in the Bandit section. Try Survivors HQ? -
1)In game name: Stompopolos 2)Way to contact you (Skype, steam, ventrilo, etc.): Skype: liverat5 (my originality juices werem't really flowing that day :|. 3)Age (doesn't matter really mostly just maturity): Wow, i was really surprised/happy to see "doesn't matter really mostly just maturity". I am 12, and very mature for my age. 4)Game time: A couple weeks, I have had 3 characters now. 5) One sentence summary of how experienced you are: Fairly new to the game, but I know the basics and a few more advanced things - for example, I was close to fully repairing a car before I was ambushed and kidnapped by 5 other bandits whom I had previously been harassing, and I am not one of the pussies who DC every time they smell trouble. 6)Time Zone: GMT +12.

I Don't Whine And My Voice Is Not Very High Because I Am A New Zealander And Most Americans Seem To Think That Our Voices Are Abnormally Deep, So In My Opinion I Do Not Have An Annoying Voice. Oh Well, I'm Used To Being Judged For Being Young. -

So, how come 12 isn't OK if I'm a mature player? -
Looking for a young group of bandits
Stompopolos replied to Dragonborn (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm guessing 13 or younger. I am 12 and I have been searching for a bandit group for a couple of days now. Every thread I visit either has "16/18+ ONLY" as rule #1. If it doesn't then I'll apply, and I'll get a response saying "You're too young". If you say that you're looking for mature players, then deny someone because of their age, it makes you look like you have no idea what the word 'mature' actually MEANS. If you're going to judge a book by it's cover, then why deny me when you've just accepted Someone Who Has Capital Letters At The Start Of Every Word, or someone who has the spelling, grammar and punctuation of a chimp? Sorry to rant, it's not directed at you, I just needed to get that off of my hairless, pre-pubescent chest. -
