  1. Wait. This is very similar to: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/45958-outside-the-grocery-store-in-cherno/ bean hunter?

Outside the grocery store in Cherno

    D/C-ERS MAKE ME RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

ok I pick up an empty tin can, now what?

I've started visiting these forums less and less. Split sides are painful! I'm so funny.

ok I pick up an empty tin can, now what?

Thank you. I think the fact that your post was on a different page caused the confusion.

I was agreeing with him. I too wanted to know what detta meant.

This. Edit: Ooooh, now I get it. I wasn't making a joke, I meant that I also wanted to know what Detta was on about.

Well, you'd have to find some ammo first, but you'd net plenty of beans from Freeside.

What happens when 5 cans nets you an SVD Camo?

ok I pick up an empty tin can, now what?

This would be so awesome if it were true. Of course, then one player would kill the other for his mags :3

ok I pick up an empty tin can, now what?

Actually an awesome idea, but it'd need an entire crafting UI added (I actually don't know if it would, never cooked meat before) and I'm not sure how well the ArmA II engine would support it/how easily Rocket could add it.

You swallow it along with your soda, like a real man.

4 tin cans = dead zombie. I respawned recently and just server-hopped (don't hurt me >.<) until I had an inventory full of tin cans then just ran around Kamenka biffing cans at zeds. Best day ever.

    ALT-F4 will never be fixed

Why do you use European 12 year old as an insult? A good portion of the world's population is European, and I'm sure they'd have a few choice words for you. Also, everybody, including you, was 12 at some point, believe it or not. And don't tell me that you were smarter/better than other 12 year olds, because anyone above average wouldn't say something so prejudiced. Also, where would he copy and paste "delusions of a static inventory" from? Think about your posts, friend.
  14. I don't mean unarmed fresh fresh spawns, but Cherno/Balota looters with Enfields, 1911's, etc. I don't hunt them down, but I KOS anyone who is nearby and armed.
  15. Stompopolos

Just a friendly suggestion from a survivor.

Leaving unarmed players alive can end a surprisingly large amount of the time in death, due to a frag or them just plain equipping a weapon when you're not looking. And if they do find a weapon and decide they want their stuff back... As much as I hate to say it, KOSing is just the safest way to play.
  16. Look how keeping him alive turned out :/. Edit: I missed "As soon as I hear that I put my binoculars away take out my AKM and unload all of my 30 rounds in him even though he was dead after the first 5. I took his backpack and everything useful he had and head to the helicopter." I was wondering why everybody was saying how harsh the OP was instead of condoling him :P.
  17. Bad luck? Seems like every barn I visit has one laying around :/.
  18. Proud WinSniper here :D! Most of my kills have been killing other fresh spawns along the coast whenever I find an 1886 in a barn.
  19. This^ Obviously, if someone is a threat I will kill them, but I much prefer robbing vehicles and tents (yes, I've learnt how to spot a trap the hard way :l).

    Bandit Apprentice?

Send me a PM, I have to go now but I'll be back in a while.

Being bandit = easy difficulty gaming

Sounds Greek to me, but I'm not sure.

This thread is about difficulties of play-styles. You listed D/Cing under "Very Easy". So yeah, this thread is at least partially about D/Cing, because you made it about it.

    Fail Stories

This annoys me. I walked off an admittedly quite high edge deliberately and suffered insta-death, even though I jumped off a height greater than that when I was 7 and came out of it without even rolling my ankle.

    Luckiest kills you've ever gotten?

There was about 150 metres between me and the Balota Airstrip. I was working my way around this field into cover when I saw a guy. I quickly rolled into cover behind a bush and decided to kill him (this was my first player encounter). I went up into a crouch, leant out from behind the bush, and took aim. I the soft pop of the Winchester sounded like a bomb going off to me as I watched to see the results. I let out a gasp of delight and guilt when I saw him drop to the ground. A quick glance at my debug monitor told me I had only knocked him out, or maybe broken his leg. As I was new to banditry and the game in general, I immediately started running straight across the field to loot him (STUPID STUPID STUPID) when his friend, suited up in a gillie and packing a silenced weapon of some sort, came out to answer his friends cries for help. He quickly saw me, and I ran back behind a bush, which was suddenly lit up by the dude. I leant out and took a pot-shot right as I got shot myself. I fall unconscious, I can see the guy standing over me, and when I come to he's still there, standing over me with his revolver pointed at me. Thoughts fill my head of D/Cing and calling Dr Wasteland MD, but I've never taken a coward's path, so I stay to see how it unfolds. At the very least, I want to die knowing I died like a man. Just as these thoughts pass through my head, I hear "Awwwww, shit, man" coming from the guy whom I had shot, in a strained voice. Another look at my debug monitor tells me he bled out, and a smile briefly lights my features, before I remember my situation. I have 1k blood and dropping fast, I'm shaking, I have a broken leg and I'm utterly bucked. Then I notice the gillie dude. He's been staring at his friend's body for a good 15 seconds. Needless to say I took the chance. 2 kills in the space of as many minutes, and I can sort of say I died with a gillie, an M4A1 SD, a military tent and some other nice stuff.
