In Bohemia's defense, you can't just throw money at a Dev team and get exponentially greater results. They team they have is only so big, only so much of a size. It doesn't matter if they have one million extra dollars or fifty million. It won't impact how quickly they work, only ensure the survival of their project. And I don't think they are just reworking a mod that already exists. DayZ SA is supposed to be it's own schmagaegle.

DayZ isn't a scam, no. And they certainly aren't laughing all the way to the bank. But they have been to the bank. Many times. And the teller knows them by name at this point. Also they may have bought the bank.

I don't even like the vision fading to black. I liked how once you died, everything just went dark.

Before we start talking about NEW zombies, let's talk about ANY zombies.

The whole idea is that in a game about survival, sitting on the top of a building with a sniper rifle or machine gun and picking off every living human you see has zero survival benefits, yet constitutes the majority of what players do. If we were all plopped into a scenario of survival that DayZ strives to be, or when we all think about what we would do in a situation where society has collapsed and there's basically nobody left...none of us say to ourselves "I'm going to sit on top of a building and shoot any surviving human being I see because teh lulz." The key is to make surviving challenging, or at least something that must be tended to at all times so that players are more focused on their own wellbeing instead of what jollies they can get from hitting somebody with a Mosin Nagant in a neighboring county.

This game shouldn't have even included a third person mode. But it did. Now people are used to it. They have come to rely on it. They do not want their magic floating personal Hubble in the sky taken from them. Seeing over walls and around corners is far too powerful and unrealistic for them to surrender.

This effect on deer populations is based entirely on how many people are actually left alive by whatever plague or virus that occurs. If a scenario like DayZ occurred and left 10% of the population still alive and kicking, there would have to be an astronomical cervine genocide of unfathomable proportions for it to negatively impact the total Bambi population overall. Plus, we have to consider how many of those survivors would actually hunt at all...and of those that would actually go out and hunt deer specifically, whether or not they are actually capable of killing it, which I would wager most people are not.

Not what I'm experiencing in private shard servers when I log in at night. In private shard servers that I play on, I've never had any trouble finding food and water. Food is everywhere, but ammo and weapons and pretty much everything else is nowhere in sight. Even items like clothing, backpacks, and other items you can interact with are scarce. It's like I'm surviving without a problem, but...to what end? Why? For what purpose?

This is DayZ. It will spawn your ass on a rooftop with no escape. Mark my words.

NCIX.com will allow you to pick parts and for $50 dollars they will assemble it, install the OS, test it, and make sure all runs well.

Don't be asinine. An zombie apocalypse won't make all the trousers and jackets magically evaporate. And I clearly posted that I had no trouble finding food or survival stuff. But when you're in a server with only fifteen people and most of the buildings you come across are completely empty, that's frankly just ridiculous. Just because it's the apocalypse doesn't mean that everyday commonplace items that are usable should just be gone nor does it mean that if I have an entire town to myself I should be bored because there's nothing to interact with or use or manage. And I won't even get into the gameplay issues that will arise if people still have throwaway attitudes for their characters after they play with him for forty minutes because they've found nothing worth giving their player any value. I seriously don't understand why people still think that just because DayZ takes place in a zombie apocalypse that for some magical reason all the usable items in an entire series of towns and cities would just magically vanish into thin air and all residential houses are devoid of anything useful or at least interactive. If anything, I was experiencing the exact opposite of how loot spawning should probably be. I was finding food all over the place and drinks, too...but no common household items or clothing. It was easy to survive and keep my character alive, but for what purpose? To run around without finding hardly anything else to give that player value?

Played for the first time in about three weeks or so. First experience with 0.58 was definitely a whimper and not a bang. It was late when I got on, around 3 in the morning. Of my Favorites in servers, the top one had 15/50 players, so I joined that one. Spawned in Berezino at night, raining. After about forty minutes I had barely found anything. All doors were open. I gave no shits about my character and I had the whole town to myself. I lucked out and found a police jacket in the Station, and a Hunting Backpack in a shed. No ammo for my pistol and double barrelled shotgun. I went about half an hour without any sort of clothing to my name, apart from tracksuit pants that are worse than the default jeans. A couple hats. Literally a couple. There was enough food to keep me going, enough matches, but...in terms of usable items like clothing or such...the whole town was practically barren. I was just playing Empty House Simulator 2015. Maybe it was just the server, maybe it's this build, but has anybody else had this experience?

Logged into Experimental on a server as a new spawn. I lived about seven seconds before I was shot by somebody spawn camping. Spawn camping. On Experimental. Really, guys?

If your intention is to go around killing people with your friends, could you guys go back to Stable? I don't know why people go to Experimental just to KOS people. Anyway, there are some new loot spawning bugs, piles floating around willy nilly.

Yea. Then five minutes later they'll die.

Patience is a virtue. And also a survival strategy.

Meanwhile, the ever-useless CZ Carbine continues to gather dust...

I'm actually currently uploading a video to Youtube where the same thing happens to me. It seems to be some sort of phantasmagorical ectoplasmic pugilist. I was originally being hit in Solnichny, and I logged out for half an hour after running away. I came back to the server, went to Kamyshovo, and after killing some players it happened to me again. It followed me and followed me, I couldn't kill it, and it only hit me when I didn't move. Zombies can hit you while you are moving, but I was never hit on the move by this . I would stop, it would hit me. I would run away and it would hit me. I couldn't lose it, and it never gave up or attacked anybody around me. Also, sometimes it missed me and hit a body I was next to or a tree trunk. It clearly didn't have zombie-aim.
