When does the war for the 7.62x54r start?
-
So with that being said, after the North is developed a bit and after the updates roll out and stabilize servers...what's the ideal player count that you want to hit for Beta or release?
-
I would really like to see the player count raised but have spawn points be located all over the map. Maybe after they make the North section of the map playable my dream will come to fruition.
-
So the Experimental version of an Alpha game isn't Stable enough for you?

There have been multiple times when me and my buddies were playing on -[ZaP]- servers and were closing in on a group of players and the servers was restarted at extremely convenient times. I think it's happened about three times total. I know during two of those instances my character was wiped when just minutes before I was about to lay down the poo-poo on some mofo's.

Has Anyone Else lost Faith in Dayz?

I want to see a bigger focus on residential/hunting weapons. -
Don't forget that the stairs are trying to kill you, too.

DayZ SA Equipment Guide: What Equipment you should be using to survive, and where to find it!
Rags! replied to marsmars's topic in New Player Discussion
This...uhm..."guide" leaves out a great deal of good information. Plus, lots of this is just common sense. See, I can make a guide too: If a players shoots at you, shoot them in the face to kill them. - By Rags -
If you don't have "fun gameplay" then your authentic game is an authentic piece of shit.

Guy asks about how to get his "friend" unbanned from the game. Only guy who wants to really help him is Canadian.

When my point is obvious to any intelligent person, I'm not going to waste my time posting it in text format so anybody underneath them can perceive it.
-
I can get behind that.

I guess if I cared more about all you people whining like children on forums about "develop faster for me, company!" I could go through all the lists of things that they've added, too. But I won't because that would require more work on my part than I think posting on an online forum is worth for a game that I play to somebody that can look it up for himself. But if you look at the last nine months and seriously believe that nothing is happening you are just plain wrong. I actually have more games to play than DayZ on my computer, and I don't sit there and mope and complain online because a meager thirty dollars that I spent isn't being specifically rewarded exactly how I want it to when I want it to be for one of the games that I have paid for, especially one that makes it very clear that you're paying the company to play the game early like the guinea pig you are for them. You know what else you could buy with thirty dollars? A book. To read. Instead of being here on the internet. With people like us. Who don't want your negativity here. I just don't understand...what's the message? What's the point of threads like these? Don't we already have people like you who are seriously upset that this game they bought, warnings and all, isn't being created fast enough for them? Want me to provide a list? How about you just go to your own post list, where you just complain and whine and do nothing but be a downer about everything. "The devs don't care about anything" "clusterfuck of cheaters" Seriously. I'm convinced that all you want to do is hate on this game and have come to this site for just that exact reason. Everything you say is negative. Everything you post is nothing but calling out the negatives. Which is odd considering that you posted today at 6:02 PM... "You do a skillful job of selecting only the bad arguments and sidestepping the good ones, as is usual protocol for Bohemia damage control." Talk about being a hypocrite! All you do here is do nothing but talk about how negative things are, how bad things are, how horrible the future is, how the "Devs don't care about anything this time around"...absolutely stellar that you've given me something so blatantly hypocritical to call you out on. It just goes to show what kind of a person you are, and what you hope to accomplish on these forums. You don't want to have a discussion. You want to come online and look for whatever opportunity you can that's worth your time to talk smack about the game and the people who enjoy it, because anybody who likes the game and doesn't feel angry about how development is going on this ambitious project is part of the...what was your phrase..."Bohemia damage control".

I don't think making something rare, especially something that would spawn with other military grade equipment, will stop people from having it more than they should. People will server hop for their precious loot with a zeal rivaled only by a PETA advertisement director. You shouldn't even have the option of just finding a hundred (100) rounds of ammunition at a time, let alone 75. The difference between thirty rounds and a hundred is that when you find a hundred rounds you'll just give what you don't think you will use to your buddies. So now two, three, or four players just geared up with ammunition thanks to a single loot spawn that one of them found.

Call of Duty.

I've owned the game for a good six months now, and the differences and improvements that have been made since then are incredible. I have no idea how somebody can say that after nine months the game isn't going anywhere. To say that the game hasn't gone anywhere is so asinine and blatantly false that I cannot for the life of myself comprehend how an intelligent and sentient human being thinks that thought and then agrees with himself for thinking it.

You just took the DayZDB map that everybody uses and rewrote some words on it that the map already had.

If you put your hands up in the air...then you just don't care.

Asking "What button puts my hands up?" is a classic to buy you some time.

It's a shame that you spent such a long time thinking out this long and what I'm sure is a very thoughtful post about how the game isn't progressing fast enough for you, only to have 95.6% of people not read it and the other 4.4% read it only for teh lulz. These threads will never cease to amuse me and make me ashamed to be a gamer at the same time. Thank you for teh lulz.

A couple new things from this weeks Status Report

For those who don't know what a Derringer is... -
Balance > Realistic Probability I agree with the OP (pyeayouknowme). Word. Firstly, I think that the 75 round drum magazine is stupid. It shouldn't be in the game. Finding 75 bullets in a SINGLE LOOT SPAWN is ridiculous, especially since the guns that use it are extremely common. People need to look at this with some level of perspective...a drum magazine, which can spawn in jeeps all over the map, gives you these three things... - seven and a half full clips for the SKS... - fifteen full magazines for the carbine... - 7.5 seconds of fully automatic fire from an AKM... You get lucky with a single loot spawn, and boom. You're set. Power should be spread out, looking for things should be stressed. Ammo should be the primary concern of balancing here, I think. Finding weapons should be balanced with the notion that you have to constantly balance the Risk and Ease of Access with these guns with their Fuck Shit Up Potential (That's FSUP). Even though it's more "realistic" (The dirty video game "R" word...) that a military weapon have a magazine with it, giving the same advantages to weapons with a greater FSUP like the AK101 and the AKM is just a bad game decision. Think back on every time you found an AKM or an AK101 without a magazine... "I have a weaker, but functional weapon with me, but...I could drop my current working gun and take the risk of going unarmed and hope I find a magazine and ammo for this even better gun..." THIS should be the DayZ weapon mantra! Not "I bet I can apply for a Blackwater Private Security job in an hour after spawning." There are, of course, a myriad of ways to fix this. I have no problem with weapons being easy to find so long as ammunition is rare. I would relish the idea of making it about 10% easier to find weapons in their respective spawns but have ammunition be found in about 50-75% less quantities at a time.
