  1. I'm hoping that everything will be much more spread out so there are reasons and opportunity to actually travel to places. That being said, a spread out map is only the first step in what I would like to see...which is high population servers of a hundred or so but having those spawns be spread out all over the map so that meeting players has a more organic and natural feel to it. I would love to see another living soul in Pustoshka. or Zelenogorsk. Or 74.8% of the map that nobody bothers going to.
  2. Believing that somebody who kills on sight is bad in a survival game like DayZ is akin to saying that the Dalai Lama is better at wrestling than John Cena because he chooses not to wrestle.

    The "ruined" status must go.

My Faith in Humanity is now Ruined after playing this game as long as I have.

    reset, spawns, players and thanks

Police Stations are at the point for me that I barely ever check them. The chances of finding something of value there just doesn't seem to be worth the risk of simply being inside of a fire station. Like airfields and barracks, it's normally accepted that if you see somebody in the police station you shoot them on sight. Fire Stations indeed do seem to spawn pistols and magazines with a higher frequency than Police Stations, though often times it's simply worth the risk to search them for goodies, though walking up the tower makes you very noticeable. Plus...any staircase in this game is playing with fire. Just last night the friend I was playing in was walking up the stairs in a barn, fully geared, and at random simply died with broken legs caused by the spirit of the Alpha.

    Lovely People out there...

I have around 370 hours in this game so far. The chances for weapons spawn come in a variety of places, and you will truly be surprised how easy it is to acquire a firearm once you know where things spawn. Plus, the East is very popular a thoroughfare for players at the moment, so the journey inland to places like the Sobors, Zelenogorsk, Gorka, and Severograd will pay off now, though once the vehicle loot spawn bug is fixed opportunity will abound all over the place. But...take in mind that almost all vehicles and blue trailers hitches do not currently spawn loot, and these places are normally a very good source of weapons, magazines, and ammunition.
  6. Did you do melee testing?

    Lovely People out there...

Weapons are far too common. A death threat on the internet is a trivial, ordinary, and standard occurrence.

    first iteration of central economy

Hopefully but regulating the rarity of items your character will seem much more valuable and personal upon finding certain rare loot, making losing him seem more of a loss...but at the same time making your character more prone to be shot on sight for his rare gear.
  9. Why not add this to the topic that I started already earlier today instead of making an entirely new topic devoted to possible Third Person View changes? I started a topic this morning about it...why are you making an entirely new topic about the exact same thing?
  10. If you have fallen back to insulting me for how long I have been registered on this website, then you have basically admitted you have nothing of substance to throw my way. The fact you're even insulting me at all is childish and immature.
  11. You can use ruined ammunition.

Religion in DayZ, is a god out there ?

You can find a Bible. It should be a melee weapon, instantly killing the undead through the power of Jebus.
  13. The effectiveness of the cover of darkness is incredible in DayZ, and when you're not recreating half of Sam Fisher's autobiography with Gamma option adjustments, here's how cool the darkness can be. In this screenshot, my friend is directly to the left of my reticle, he has a cap on and he's holding a Mosin Nagant with white burlap wrappings on it. I was standing in the corner there completely exposed, but told me that I looked like any ordinary bush and he walked by me without a second thought, asking where I was.
  14. I don't think I said anything vitriolic or flaming in my post here. I didn't call anybody less skilled or question any person's manhood based on what server they play. This topic does not require your understanding. Because I clearly stated that I like the idea of a third person camera, but thought it was implemented poorly. But to answer your question --> I will suggest any changes to the game that I personally think will make the game better because I want this game to be as good as it possibly can be. Your opinion and mine might be different on what will make the game best, but if you want to have a discussion about it, then we can have one. But saying things like "Why the hell are you suggesting changes to it?" doesn't do anybody good and discourages discussion on game mechanics. Forums and websites like this are here for the purpose of having players en masse talk and discuss how they think the game could be better. This massive collection of new ideas and opinions can only make the community stronger and the game better. I do not like playing Obliteration mode in Battlefield 4, but that doesn't mean that I shouldn't have opinions on how to make it better. If I suggested a change to that, you couldn't reasonably defend your own position by saying "If you don't like the game mode, why the hell suggest changes to it?". If YOU don't like something, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't ever offer your opinion about how to make it better. That's completely and wholly counter productive. You suggest improvements to things that you think can be improved or that you don't like. But, I guess we'd better shut down this website! I mean, why the hell suggest changes to something you don't like? It's like we want to offer constructive criticism or give our opinions on possible improvements to the game or something. Ha! What a joke, amirite? That's what amazes me about some of the posts here. I offer a constructive argument for my opinion, and people say "If you don't like it, don't play it and don't suggest things for it because lots of people like how it is.". It's just astounding how counter intuitive that is to the point of this entire website!
  15. Nobody plays at night because they have to join the dreaded Gamma Gamma Gamma fraternity.
  16. Because schadenfreude is the core of the DayZ experience.

Weapons - Where Should They Go Next?

DayZ should have a much heavier focus on residential and hunting type weapons, not military grade freedom-dispensers.
  18. I would like to see certain types of armor give you certain types of defense boosts and character resistances. For instance, this piece of armor will give you a little more damage protection from bullets of a certain caliber...while one piece of armor will strongly reduce the amount of physical force a bullet might inflict on you...while one piece of armor might just give you a massive resistance to bleeding. Maybe another type of armor could give you resistance to fractures and broken bones? Realism is one thing, but I think Bohemia Interactive really has an opportunity here to make armors not only varied in design but also in functionality.

After a 6/7 month break from Dayz

You took a break from DayZ for 6/7 of a month? That's like...26 days.
  20. Rags!

Hey. What weapon do you choose.

Well, normally I prefer the M1 Abrams Tank because of the spacies and roomy interior, though in a pinch I'll settle for an LAV-25 so long as the paint isn't chipped too badly. Gas mileage is kind of a pain, but it more than makes up for it with the sheer number of cup holders and the auxiliary jack for my iPod.
  21. Don't worry. I'm sure we'll get a few noobs in here in no time whining that you can't pilot an Apache Helicopter within seventeen minutes of spawning in with akimbo P90's.

    Why does everyone kill me?!

Topics like these remind me why I have the signature that I do.
