Has anybody suggested the ability to find old M16 rifles? Could be a slightly more common rifle than the M4, and could be placed at Helicopter Spawns, rarely at Jailhouses, and maybe the occasional LAV or Humvee? -
Adding the ability to add grass to anything or spray painting anything would only lead to literally everybody and their mothers doing it. Everybody would be covered in grass, everybody would be running around with shitty looking olive drab/black shirts on.

Hmm...I can get behind this. For the most part, I don't think automatic rifles should spawn outside of military bases...but I do think that rare exceptions should exist. LAVs are somewhat rare, so a rare AK drop on them seems reasonable. I also think that Humvees should have a very very low chance at spawning an M4, too.

Time to reduce run speed with vehicles inbound?

A couple people might possibly have a vehicle...so everybody should be slowed down as a result. Nope. -
Riiiight, that's what 95.6% of people would use this for...protecting new spawns.

I'm not at all convinced. I've shot people multiple people multiple times in the chest with this magnum without downing them, similarly I've easily one shotted people as well. I just don't think it's reliable in DayZ. When it comes to backup weapons in backpacks, I'll stick with my Sawed Off.

Because having servers restart every two hours and totally break immersion and interrupt gameplay is the best solution...

I was stuck inside of a particularly large boulder one day. After a shimmy shammy wiggly wobbly roll-roll, I was shot out of the boulder like a lemon. I landed with less than optimal consequences, but it didn't matter to me at all. I died a free man. -
Now that vehicles are in the game, I thought "gas trap" was something that I do with my friends sometimes in my own car.

Once server hopping is neutered, we can really start to see more civilian and organic styles of loot gathering that will certainly focus on more residential/hunting style weaponry and gear.

You don't pull out a weapon, you don't aim it at somebody, and you don't pull the trigger.

Because getting it would mean having to include flour, yeast, and sugar into the loot spawns for the sole purpose of baking bread.

Horrible idea. All that will do is discourage player mobility. The penalty to accuracy is already a huge deterrent to constant 24/7 sprinting, as well as the increased expenditure of water and food. Making it so that you cannot even sprint at all will only slow players down and discourage them to move around the map.
