What people think about me is no concern of mine. But if you want to start pulling out insults in what used to be a rather civil discussion only goes to show that you have absolutely no ammunition left to use on your behalf. I have confidence in my opinion because my opinion is correct, and yours is wrong. We aren't debating ballistic damage mitigation due to clothing, we aren't discussing zombie behavior or density, we aren't talking about rarity of loot. We are talking about having my character get hit with an arbitrary -1 statistic because I killed somebody either in defense, for survival, of just because I wanted to have a giggle. Statistics aren't God or Allah. It can't differentiate between either of these. It certainly can't read my mind and ascertain my intentions, because even the most fresh of moral scholars knows that intention is of paramount importance in moral choices. DayZ can't stop zombies from walking through walls. It certainly can't apply numerical values to complex scenarios involving survival and death with any amount of even a hope of accuracy. There will be no morality system. It is a stupid idea. It always has been. Morality is far far far too complex and subjective to add in your silly little numerical value system that negatively effects killing in a horrible blanket solution that will destroy the foundation of player freedom. So keep fighting your good fight for another five years and see where it gets you. I said it before, but clearly you missed it, so I'll say it again and I'll hope it sinks in: It's better to let you be free to do evil instead of forcing you to do good.

The helicopter didn't work. That's why it crashed.

Oh, yea. It's just great. I'm having fun shooting cannibals.

I really think they will. They bought it. Even if they hate it now, then still own a copy of the game. You bet that they'll come check on it as they hear about the game's progression.

I was referring to the fact you put his name in...you know what, nevermind.

Just saiyan.

Swords took two hits on all types of zombies to kill, and provided you hit them the first time, you could swing with a follow up quickly. If you miss with the sword, it takes relatively long to bring it back and swing again. But if you hit a zombie, it has a really low time-to-kill.

If you're implying that I don't want players to interact with each other, then that would be contrary to the last four months where I have been a strong advocate of encouraging players to cooperate and converse instead of shooting anything that moves. I don't like it when players kill each other on sight, no questions asked. But if they want to play that way...so be it. Don't add in these silly bullshit "insanity/morality" systems attempting to put actual numerical values to emotional and mental health statuses based on impossible to track player intention to force people to play in ways they don't want to. It's better to let you be free to do evil instead of forcing you to do good.

If I want to interact with other players, then I'll choose to do that. I do not want nor need Bohemia Interactive's coercion into playing a role I do not wish to play.

Personally, I like to hear them moan.

No. Don't shoehorn in game mechanics that force me to be nice when I don't want to be nice.

- If you don't cheat, you don't have to worry about anything - Probably not. Mutes are often shot on sight. Including by me. If you don't have a microphone you are basically an NPC. Buy a microphone. Why do you not already have one? Is ten dollars at Walmart too much of an expenditure of your money? I still don't know why any PC player won't spend ten dollars on a microphone when they have computers worth hundreds and hundreds. - If you're worried about other players killing you, don't buy this game. - Running the game on low setting will indeed get you better frame rates, but even with my computer (i7-4770k, GTX 780 Ti Classified) The game can still run like a quadruple amputee coated in whipped sweet cream butter. Running the game at better settings can be of some assistance in terms of the terrain and seeing loot at a distance, but I haven't really noticed that it's harder to see other players or zombies at a distance when at low settings. It may actually be easier to see them since there's so much less terrain and clutter being generated. I would say that the FPS gain can be far more tactically effective than anything else. But, you have to realize that this game is in Alpha. It's buggy. It's messy. Shit happens. Other players can be twat-bags. Those are things you'll just have to learn to live with for now.

I can believe it. No servers for me are spawning loot anywhere, and spawning into a server always gives me a new character. I can definitely believe something screwy is up, especially considering how surprisingly awesome the .52 Exp was. I've been meaning to finish Metro: Last Light anyway.

In the General Discussion section, have there be a topic called something along the lines of "Quick Questions and Answers". Pin it so that it's easily visible. This topic would simply be used for people to ask short/medium complexity questions in a post, and have people answer them. You shouldn't have to start a whole new topic on "When do the Devs plan on doing a certain mechanic?" or "How many hits with a shovel kill a zombie?" or "Does the Assault Vest provide ballistic protection?" or "Is anybody going to actually travel to Kamensk?". This would be just a place to have your DayZ questions answered.

Isn't logging out with a player right above you that knows you are there Combat Logging?

I cannot wait to hear the end of this exciting adventure in Chernarus. -
It's damage makes it valuable and worth seeking out. It's not overpowered.

No music. There's no music of life.

Most of my DayZ time has been spent with a Mosin Nagant and a Sawed Off, which are both very deadly at their respective ranges.

If high caliber bullets were actually uncommon, the second option might carry some weight to it.

When you say "hear me out" that normally implies that you have some sort of actual reason for aforementioned thing and you're going to present your idea in a concise, realistic, and logical sort of manner that will at least give some merit to the mechanic you wish to implement. It does not imply "I'm angry. Blargh. Add this."
