d The only way to balance people in DayZ is to ensure everybody starts off the same. The things you find and the places you go will determine how powerful you get. This isn't Battlefield. This isn't Call of Duty. Balance doesn't exist in DayZ because the whole point of looting and gearing up is to slowly shift the balance of power in your favor.

I think this is a bad idea. All characters in a game like DayZ should be completely equal in every way. Player skill and resourcefulness should be the defining factors of the survival competition, not "hopefully I can find this certain book to teach my character something that I already know as a player".

It's astounding how you were able to count out the amount of bullets that they hit you with from a fully automatic assault rifle. I wish I had such mathematical presence of mind.

I believe that server hopping is the single biggest problem with this game, but this isn't a good way to fix it.

Or, you could have said "Hello, may I have some food?" and avoided this whole mess. You murderer.

You shouldn't spawn with matches. Spawning into a server where it's cold and rainy presents a survival issue that must be dealt with. Having matches as a starting piece of equipment nullifies one of the more deadly natural killers...hypothermia. Which is weird, because I think you should be able to rub sticks together like a Neanderthal and create the glowing yellow wood light.

Having empty cans be created by consuming canned food would be very helpful in this, and the clutter they would cause could be easily remedied. Cans could simply despawn after ten minutes if they are not touched. Of course, you can boil water in a Styrofoam cup, too...

They spawn at the brown rusty pickup trucks. I've found about three of them there since the .51 update. They are not common, but they certainly exist.

I guess I just don't see the enjoyment in buying a game like DayZ and spending your time in it as far away from other players as possible and shooting them. I suppose my version of "player interaction" just isn't limited to "shoot all other human beings at a distance because fuck other people I want to pretend I'm a 1337 sn1p3r".

For somebody with 260 posts, you should know that the persistence loot spawning system isn't finished yet and obviously the current version doesn't represent the final product.

This is totally normal. You just have the "Server Hopper Vision" setting turned On. Just go to Settings > Gameplay and then disable it. It's the option underneath "Head Bob".
