Dear Diary, Today I ran a long long way and then I got lucky and found a gun. Then I murdered somebody with it in the grey void of space. P.S. I hope I get those new Skylanders for Christmas.

We have never played together.

You have access to the internet. Do your research.

Back when I was a Boy Scout, I wouldn't have been able to hit the ground if it weren't for gravity. But bows are cool. We need more stealthy, skill related weapons.

I would love to see far more beach activities as the coast is most beautiful

The last thing we need is to encourage people not to travel inland and get off the goddam coast where they spawn. -

Introduce Easy Mode with no health regen issues and never lose loot from death

Shouldn't you be studying for a spelling test or something? -
In reality. Which this is not.

I remember when I had 107 beans...

I shouldn't be able to see somebody's light from a kilometer away.

Death is great as it is. When you die, you lose all your gear. The way to make death more serious is to make gearing up more difficult and making server hopping impossible/punishable/not worth the time.
-
Gearing up is still pretty easy, especially since the server hopping exploit makes militarizing your survivor basically guaranteed, provided you lack the moral fiber. It's not that dreadful of suspenseful when you know that dying and re-gearing isn't going to be particularly difficult or time consuming.

Guns and ammunition are not too rare at all. But it's hard to say anything true based on a loot system that isn't finished yet. Remember that the loot problems of today aren't going to be the same as the problems of tomorrow or next month.

I'm more in favor of being unable to make bodies become invisible, and having there be a dragging/carrying animation set for the movement of bodies, both conscious and deceased.
-
A huge problem with this game are people like you, who condone every combat logger and server hopper in the name of misplaced player freedom. You're destroying the game by attempting to justify cowardly and exploitative practices by condoning them on the forums for all to see.

With the prevalence of Satellite Vision, or 3rd Person, sneaking up on somebody and getting that close to them will rarely ever happen anyway.

Oh, come off it. You're not going to do anything to me because there's nothing you can do. You're just all pissy at some other human being on the internet. "I just don't feel like hunting you down" oh, come on. Listen to yourself. This isn't Call of Duty on Xbox Live. Get a grip.

You lack the capacity.

If you lose so much blood that it starts to damage your equipment with its sheer volume...your equipment's status probably shouldn't be on your list of concerns. I'd say you'd be dead by the time you lost enough blood to damage gear.

This isn't about teaching lessons. You kill him. You always kill combat loggers. Always. If somebody is logging out of the game so that they don't have to interact with you, they are cowards. That's one of the most lowdown, despicable, shameful things you can do in a video game. Logging out of the actual game as a method of retreat is not a valid playstyle. It is not strategy. It is not the way the game is intended to be played. You think that logging out to avoid a potentially hostile encounter is just fine. And you're wrong. That's not fine. That's despicable. He should be punished for his attempt to escape combat by using a game mechanic that isn't designed as a retreat function that warps you into the void where you're safe. In a real life scenario, you can't just teleport out of your current plane of existence to safety. It's cowardice. Always kill combat loggers. No exceptions.

This is like me going to Battlelog and asking if Battlefield 4 is out.

If you want to play the Standalone, you just need a computer. And Steam. And guts. And a spoon.
-
No, I understand you perfectly. You want to add a mechanic that forces players to talk to themselves so they don't go bonkers.

I'm sure that the gap between a player being fatally shot doesn't happen every time. I've dropped people with a headshot and they have gone down instantly. I think it's a server issue. Like all the issues in the game...kinda... ...but you're right about the bodies, though. They disappear far too quickly. A dead body with all the loot that the murderer didn't take is quite a find. The cleanup on bodies should happen much slower. Maybe...an hour. Maybe two. To make sure that Bambi bodies don't stack up because coastal spawning sucks and too many people go there to kill fresh spawns...just have the amount of loot on the body determine how long it would take for the body to be cleaned up.
