We have used this tactic, and have a second man in a corner waiting to kill the happy go lucky guy who wants to help people. #14 will get you killed if your not in a clan, and I mean a GOOD clan. #3-4 Well, thats just fucking common sence. #7 No, dont be afraid to hit a military base, if you dont have much on ya, whats to lose? # 13 Again, that will get you dead quick, dont help other players you dont know to kill Zeds, they will think your shooting at them!! that, and your wasting ammo, that, and your giving your position away to a 3rd party that might be observing and zeroing in on your skull. I speak from experience, being the (Third Party) My advise. 1. Dont trust ANYONE! 2. Join a clan if you want to learn the game, and I mean really LEARN the game. And once you do, leave. Or stay if ya like the guys. You will learn soo much if your in with the right group of people, more than you would on your own or watching videos.

Yea, when I first started playing I was terrified of zeds, now we just call them speedbumps. OP, You will get the hang of it, just takes a little time.

#1 Rule in DayZ.. Dont fall in love with your gear. your gonna lose it, just a matter of time. My advise is joining a clan, that way you have buddys to help you gear back up quickly. But half the fun in DayZ IS gearing imo. There's two ways to look at this game, survival or PvP. I enjoy both, so, sometimes I tell my mates dont bother to pick me up, I'll gear by myself. Other times I'll have one of my boys meet me somewhere close and gear me. Depends on my mood. The point is, I have the option of spending an hour gearing or getting it done in minutes. Join a clan.

Thats because this game is not meant to be nice... And we dont need candyass fucks to tell Rocket anything. My question is, why cant anyone embrace hardcore gameing? I was at work when a crazy lady came in for an interview. She explained to me that she had just finished a tuna fish sandwich. And then without warning, she promply walked up to me, put her hands in my face and asked, "Do my hands smell like fish"? My co-workes said that my face went into a look of utter shock and horror with a smidgen of pure terror. The "Fishmitts" lady will forever haunt my dreams. She did not get the job.

Most of the old players I know are waiting for standalone before they start playing again for this very reason. We have a dedicated server and a few maps we like to play on free from hackers. Problem with that is not a lot of activity and once you learn the game, its pretty easy stay alive. Its the other players you have to be concerned about, and what makes the game challenging. Not the zeds. But when you connect to the hive you open yourself up to the hacks. But yea, find a server with active and fair Admins and dont get attached to yer shit. And to answer your original question, the first few weeks this Mod came out was utter epicness!!
