I logged in, and noticed that I had suddenly turned into a black woman with a broken leg, and no supplies. Well, I thought that Id give it a shot. I crawled into a garage, found a machete, managed to to cut down some sticks. Was crawling to find a t-shirt, when a zed noticed me, and I was eaten alive.

I seem to find canned goods all the time... My backpack half full of them. Kept trying to find a water bottle, and took a lot of time. Just canned goods... Oh a tin of spaghetti again? Cant take it, already have my inventory full of them..

-malloc=system does seem to help a lot, at least in smaller towns. Though whenever I try to edit Steam command line, I get a pretty much black main menu screen, if not else, when exiting the game.

Anyone else experiencing this? Makes flashlight pretty unusable. Even when its dark outside, when I go inside a building, it turn up bright, even through windows it seems its almost noon outside. And when I go out, it turns to dark again. And the dark looks pretty good, I must admit, though I think it should be pitch black inside a windowless room.

And to add, it would give you a reason to go to the forests, you just might stumble upon a camp site, stockpiled with a lot of goodies.

Oh thats what I dream, setting my own site somewhere in the forest, garthering supplies, hoping that no one stumbles there.

My playstyle is survival, and roleplaying. Trying to keep out of sight, avoiding people, trying to live as long as I can. And thats my opinion, everyones allowed to have one, so dont give negative response to mine, as I dont give to you. KOSers are important in my opinion, as because the history shows, that as soon as laws are out the window, many people do turn into homicidal maniacs. So I treat anyone like that, though I only shoot in self defence. And this way its always such a positive surprise, when someone tries to interact with you in other ways than bullets.

Exactly, immersion. Im from Finland, and the wilds seem pretty much like we have here, and the more developed towns have architecture pretty much like Finland in the 70s. Never seen anything like that in a game. No jungles, USA or anything like that.

I have the same issue, especially in the wild I have perfectly smooth FPS, but in every 10-15 seconds I get a couple seconds of drop in FPS. And it does get quite annoying after a while, like a dripping faucet..

Oh and is this normal? Many guides say that turning AA to low or disabled works, but Ive seen that when I turn it all the way up, I get much smoother FPS, this works for me in other games too.

Hello, just registered to the forum. I have some questions. Could anyone recommend good settings to get decent FPS? My specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, AMD Phenom II X6 1035T processor, 1,5 TB Hard Drive, 6 GB DDR3 memory, GeForce GTX 650. And how to get a microphone working? Havent bought one yet, still looking. And does my text chat work? Cant find the default key in my (Finnish) keyboard, so Ive changed it to O. I can get my messages to show on screen, but no one has ever replied to what I write, just stand there. Do I need to get up to their face so they see what I write?
