Strange that some people say that they can easily find an mp5. I've found one back in 0.47 and a mag on another character and saw people use it, but since 0.48 I haven't seen one, haven't seen anyone use one or found or killed anyone using it. M4's seems like a lot of poeple have but not the mp5k. Rak and smersh vest seems to exist only on paper. I have never found a press vest or tent either but seen people with these items. Found a stab vest on the boat wreck. long ago. Have chased a lot of rabbits but they seem unkillable. Never seen a chicken. Can openers, kitchen knifes and makarov are quite common.

I think I have one on one of my characters. Is it 1st person or 3rd person? Nope, didn't have one. And didn't find a sinlge one this night. Never saw another player either.

Yes, but its quite random too. Sometimes its the 3pp character even on 1pp servers but I usually just relogin and it works. I'm getting shitloads of "wait for host" right about now though. None of my regular servers work so I have to play on weird french servers. They're quite weird.

It seems completely random. I spawned as a newspawn with my 3pp character but the proper spawn with my 1pp character. After playing for a while and switching servers due to server crashing my 1pp character was also reset and I spawned in Kambiwobo.

You do know that you can run away from anyone that hasn't got a gun right? Everybody runs at equal speed so just run away and lure them into some zombies or jump off a quay.. As for that thing where someone comes out of the floor in supermarkets I've heard its a glitch. Never seen it used though. I speak to people every day so it seems strange that you wouldn't have spoken to anyone in 90 hours playtime. Sure, mostly they only say "I kill you stupid america" but it still counts as speaking.

Today I met two people in Dayz and got killed two times. No talking, just killing. I'm sure the guy who shot me with ten rounds from his AK as I was crawling around helpless with broken legs feels really proud of himself right about now.

Broke my legs again for no reason. Didn't have a splint either so I had to crawl for half an hour before some wanna-be sniper finally put me out of my misery. Is this issue being adressed? It only seem to happen in prison buildings, Air traffic control towers and fire stations.

I was referring to the throw action in the game Dayz standalone alpha.

Knifes and axes throwable as ballistic weapons, not using the girlie throw thing in the game. Also a proper spear, maybe craftable from a stick and a knife.

Isn't the droprate for burlap sacks and rope kind alike this: I'm a newspawn and need whatever I can find to carry food in - Can't find rope or burlap sack. I'm fully geared with hunting backpack - Rope rains from the sky and burlap grows on tress. As for end game packs, try using only the smersh backpack. You can do it if you have a vest and military clothes. it looks really cool. To bad it only comes in green but mayeb black and camo variants will come later?

I have only died once from it and don't see it as much of an issue as an annoyance. Once you get some clothes and an axe and matches you are pretty set and shouldn't die from hypothermia ever. Whats annoying about the whole thing though is the messages that spam every second or so and the fact that there is only one way to light a fire. The messages are completely useless and it would be better if your status only showed in your inventory or if you are on the verge of collapsing, not telling you all the time that you are cold or wet. As for the lighting of fires for warmth, why can't we use the wood burning stoves inside houses? Its highly logical that in case of bad weather a survivor would go into a house and put some logs in the stove and warm themselves there. There should also be more ways to actually light a fire than matches, like lighters, tinder, rubbing two sticks together, using the sun or even flint and steel. This are things you learn in grade school ffs. Also, just being inside a house should give you the possibility to dry and warm yourself. I hope that this will continue to develop and hope that the effects will one day actually have an effect, rather than just be a message on a screen. If you are wet and cold for instance, you won't be firing any guns accurately without proper training. And if you are hypothermic, your movements and actions should be greatly restrained. I have never once had the Hyperthermia status or even warmer than normal. I find the rain quite boring as it muffles all sounds. Its rather well done though, I mean, who wants to go out when it rains?

Today was mostly fun. First I spawned in upper Berezino, I had found an ashwood stick last night so I thought I would try out fishing and archery. Unfortunately I only got out of the hospital and then I died from some unknown cause. I then found a 75 man server and decided to try it out. I spawned near Msta and couldn't find any loot, no clothes or food. I tried fighting a hopper with my fists but he was too tough so I ran. I found some stuff in the woods and ended up in elektro. People were shooting all over town so I took the long route round while trying to find an axe and some matches. Inside the factory I was fighting a zed when a player came in and helped me. Very nice of him, unfortunately I got hit in teh head by the zed and bled out. I spawned nearby and ran to my corpse and found it unlooted. I made sure to get the hell out of dodge and ran towards Cherno. When I got to the outskirts two people with guns robbed me of my clothes, my axe and my backpack. I ran into the outer piano building but couldn't find anything there. Just as I was leaving two guys with guns show up. I'm sure its the two robbers come back to kill me and just as one of them is taking out his weapon the server reboots, Phew! I checked them and it wasn't the same guys. I went into the server again and spawned naked under a bridge outside Vybor- People were screaming and fighting so I ran. I had only managed to get some clothes when I guy comes and wants to kill med for them, so we duke it out in the square. Two other guys join in and people are dropping. I get knocked out too and doesn't wake up. Respawn outside elektro. I gather some decent stuff right away and head for the hospital. As I'm up there I notice a guy shooting people with his mosin so I watch him. He goes to the hospital so I hide on a ladder. After a while he sees me, has a good laugh about it and I have to go down. As I leave town theres a lot of shooting. I again head for Cherno and met a bunch of people on the way. Nobody has an axe so I can't even light a damn fire. I get to cherno and of course theres shooting there. I manage to find a carbine and some ammo for it and the server restarts again. Time to sleep.

I played on the Swe one all night. Didn't notice any more bugs than usual except for the "naked and afrai in Vybor" when i spawned in a snakepit full of naked dudes. Very lively. But more people fighting for the same amount of loot made for an enjoyable experience. I did talk to some people and there were some geared guys in there too, trying to kill bambis. Definetily a step in the right direction with more players. I mostly ran between Elektro and Cherno and met maybe 15 people altogether in various encounters. Saw three dead bodies and got robbed once :(

Lol, I also had five drum mags once. Unfortunately I didn't get to fire a shot as I was shot in the back while picking flowers.

I don't know exactly but most clothes seem to work for me except vests and some camo clothes. But as someone else stated they don't go dry, only from wet to damp. I have noticed though that running around in the sun with damp clothes can also dry them.

Urgh what a shitty day. Not only did both my characters die to non-talkative cowards but the game was very laggy and many servers refused to go from "waiting for host" to actually letting me in. I did however manage to go through the entire town of Berezino without meeting a single murderer, which was nice.

You can buy a decent used graphic card for as little as 50 euros. The game doesn't take that much to run decently. I had a 6950 before and it ran fine. But a 4000? no.

I don't see the point in it. I've done it on occasion but since you end up dying anywayu I don't think its worth the time to listen to some 14 y olds rants about how cool they are and how fun they think it is to torture small animals. I don't consider it combat logging since there's no combat involved. Torturing people is a sick habit that shouldn't be considered acceptable, even in a videogame.

Wring it works on some clothes, not all. And you don't need to wring clothes to dry them if you have a fire.

The assholiest thing any one has done to me was help me find a backpack, be friendly and helpful and asking lots of questions and then shoot me in the face with a shotgun and laugh about it with their disgusting danish voices.
