The reason theres no loot on persistent server are two-fold, firstly everythings picked clean in hard to reach places(if you know what I mean nudge nudge) and the new spawn of loot system is fucked, hence the Lootapalooza at military bases and such. I went to myshkino military base y-day and there was enormous amounts of crappy loot everywhere and a hundred SKS:es. Then went to green mountain and theres was nothing but a turnip.

I have one I still remember vividly, mainly because it was so weird and unlikely. It was also one of my first kills. I was a newspawn near Berezino and had found a crossbow and arrows. I heard someone shooting an M4 so i ran inside a low red building and hid at the top of the stairwell. A few minutes later I hear running, a guy comes in with an m4, turns around and backs up the stairwell and sits down. I'm paralyzed at first, then pull out my crossbow and shoots him in the head. I had no doubt he wouldve killed me If I had said something but still feel kinda sad for the guy. I get his gear, go to Berezino and dies.

Its weird since it used to work when the crossbow first appeared. You could use the same five arrows for dozens of shots, then they removed the feature.

I saw two players kill a bunch of people in Cherno once. Since I only had an axe I couldnt do much but I snuck on them in a house. I saw that the server was gonna restart so i waited in an adjacent room and logged in as fast as I could. I ran to the room and a few seconds later one of them logged in. I hit him adn he started bleeding then noticed what was happening and ran. I ran after him and wailed at him for a while. Then his friend came and started shooting so i walied at him too. Then I died.

Schools often spawn medical supplies. Almost anything. Theres also the smaller blue medical buildings that spawn lots of medical supplies. Theres one of each in Toploniki.

I've had such bad luck with weapons lately, the game takes them from me in different ways A few days ago I lost a Mosin with lrs and compensator just out of a sudden while running around. When I logged in with my other character I had lost my AK74SU in the patch. Yesterday I lost an AKM and my pants with everything in them(got ruined), I dunno why. Then when I logged in with my other character he spawns INSIDE one of the ruin bottoms, drops my AK74 and is slowly pushed out. Needless to say I was mildly aroused by this. Most of the times its been a second carry weapon I've lost so its not a superbiggie. But still kinda annoying when you've got a gun with clip and lots of ammo and Poff! its gone. I've also had three encounters in two days with people asking me to kill them.

How did he know you were in there? Well, you were talking to the other guy the whole time and its quite easy to pinpoint that sound in this game. Other than that, business as usual.

Yesterday was the day of the bodies. First I spawned in Novo and went to the tower. There was a dead body and someone shot at someone else so I left. Went to Polana and found two more dead bodies in different places. Went to Svet and found two more dead bodies in different locations. Logged out

Crossbow ammo is kinda rare.And often you only find one or two bolts. Its better to go for another weapon. The derringer uses .45 cal ammo.You can find it at fire stations, police stations and lots of other buildings. Forget the NW airfield. Try finding your way first and learning how to survive without high end gear.

It sure seemed like you were hit at least three times. But a similar thing happened to me yesterday. I didn't hear a shot but was hit and lost a lot of blood without bleeding(the screen went grey) and my jacket and vest got ruined and everything in them. Strangely, this was also at the NWAF.

Nice fight. I've only been to that base once and then I broke my legs in the prison building so i won't be going back.

Found one:

I found a crash site outside Zelenogorsk. It was a blackhawk, fully visible. Had mags and some other stuff but no weapons or parts. It must've been a persistance server because later I ran into Lootapalooza at the military base.

Just regular DayZ folk.

Also, you can always crawl up the stairs and drop down from the floor above. this will eventually kill you.

I've knocked people with one axeblow to the head, but have also hit others four or even five times in the body before they drop. The hit and damagesystem in this game is weird, what kills something one time might not the next, even though the circumstances are identical. But factor in lag and such things and anything can happen.

Today it happened again with the zeds. But this time it was both in my favour and not. First I was In Elektro again, and the damn zeds kept aggroing at me while I was hiding and trying to find people shooting. Later a zed saved my life at the NW airfield when a guy was going to shoot me in the back through a window, but since a zed attacked him I could turn and see him. Put half a clip in him but he didn't go down ofcourse.

What is the point of carrying ten backpacks?
