This has only happened to me once, on a 50 man server. Funny enough there were four other guys there, duking it out. I managed to run a few hundred metres before getting killed by some maniac who wanted a backpack I had managed to find. Its actually quite a good spawnpoint, close to Vybor, Veresnik military base, Green mountain and the NW airfield. Its unfortunately also a place where people tend to loot their high end gear and kills any competitors for it.

I noticed that its far easier to find netting on persistant servers as the persistance creates more loot on boats for some reason. Unfortunately 90% of it are hats or boots.

A good thing about there being a mod and a standalone game of the same sort is that you can choose to play one or the other. That way you don't have to go on a forum and whine about a non-finished game not being finished. Most people that complain about this game seem to not get the concept of alpha at all.

I work at a home depot kinda store(in sweden, not home depot buy nobody would understand the name) where stupid people ask stupid questions and behave in stupid ways all the time, so Dayz is kinda more of the same.

You might be able to get it to run at 5 fps on low. Your computer is too low-end to manage more. You need a better cpu and graphic card to get anything decent and playable out of this game.

Perhaps with everything on low. Dayz is not very well omptimized yet, so even high-end computers have problems getting it to run smoothly. With a low-end notebook like yours you will really have to struggle to get a well-flowing gameplay, and it will look like absolute shit. You could get a much better desktop computer for the same price that would manage the game decently. Not particularly good for college work though.

Are you using a sweet-fx incjetor for colours?

The beach is long but I usually go to Elektro, cherno or solnichy, whichever is nearest. Not to pvp but to gear up. If I'm at cherno I go to the apartment buildings, then to balota airfield, Zelenogorsk, green mountain, veresnik, NW airfield, then usually die or go north. If I'm at Elektro I gear up, then either go north or east. Or south ;) If I'm at solnichy I always go north as the run south is so long and boring. I usually avoid downtown Berezino as its a deathtrap. Sometimes I go north of Berezino to Svet but mostly I sneak along the coast to the wreck and then to svet and then polana. After that it varies. I usually don't care much if I get killed within the first five or so hours of spawning so running inland immediately is not something I do. Its more fun interacting with people and the funniest moments usually happen when you are gearing up and don't have a lot of stuff yet.

REVENGE! - Was the order of the day today. First I spawned in Svet and looted there for a while. I noticed another player running around but carefully avoided him. After finding some ammo for my SKS I thought I should brave it. I went into a building and found some stuff then when I got downstairs he was waiting for me. Shot me twice with shotgun breaking my legs but nothing more. I tried drawing my rifle but this game....He shot me dead with a pistol. I respawned ways off and almost right away the server crashed so I played with another character on the 3pp public instead. This time I was decently geared with mosin and 1911 so i braved going into Elektro. I checked the area beforehand and couldnt see any players so I went in there. While checking out the teddybears I was shot by a mosin. I woke up a minute later and ran for it but got shot again and died. I could tell the shooter was somewhere around the town square. I respawned in cherno so I ran for elektro. As I got there my body was gone but I saw a guy wearing what looked like my outfit. I ran for the factory firestation adn got to the roof, laying there and scoping the place out with a well placed longhorn I found on the roof. I saw the guy wearing my outfit leaving and then I noticed this: Being quite certain that the guy on the hospital roof was the one killing me since he took a shot at the guy leaving with my gear I slowly made my way there. I climbed the ladder to the roof quietly and found the guy sitting there, scoping out the square for baby newspawns to murder. This was the end result and it made me feel quite good about myself:

And now he will run straight to Elektro to say hello to newspawns. They should make everyone take a fucking IQ-test before being able to play this game.

Being so black he will most likely get shot by cops on sight. Damn KoS:ers

I've started playing a bit on private hives, making a new character every time. Its quite fun. Yesterday was a bit dissapointing though as I managed to gear up a bit quite fast and went into elektro. I was almost immediately attacked by an axe maniac but shot him down with my shotty. I had to go bandage and when i returned he had woken up and was crawling on the ground with broken legs with his axe in his hand. As I was talking to him he managed to shoot me, still holding his axe in his hand. Not cool brah.

Today I spawned in Elektro, met a bunch of guys there that didn't try to kill me for once, which was nice. Went to solnichy and found a talkative fellow there. We ran around for a while looking for some fishing utensils til some assholes showed up and killed us. I ran to my corpse but they had hidden it. I then had to run north to try and find some food but there was nothing. I tried growing some plants but the ground was to dry and I couldnt water it. I dig up a bunch of worms and ate them in desperation but it didn't seem to do nothing for the hunger. I then found two dead player bodies. I looked around for a knife so i could eat them but couldnt find one so I ran further north. Just as I got to Berezino outskirts I passed out and never woke up. Took me about 20 minutes to starve to death. I respawned in cherno. Almost right away i was hungry and thirsty. There was guys shooting so I stayed away. After a while I could find some food and weapons and continued on to the airfield. It was empty so I logged out. Nice statuseffects:

Aargh! The people in this game makes me so dissapointed again and again. I started looting west of Novo. After going on the second floor of one of the steelplate barns my legs break and I fall down. I believe I've had the legbreak bug so i start making a splint, then a guy walks in the bottom floor with a shotgun. I ask him if he shot me, but he says nothing and instead shoots my legs again. As I drop he comes up with an axe and hits me so i fall unconscious. I come to a few seconds later and bash his skull in with my brass knuckles while he's looting my corpse. I then die. So completely stupid and pointless, I didnt even have any food or anything worth looting. I then spawn outside of elektro so pick up some useless items and run for the town. I am then shot by soem wannabe sniper. I didnt see or hear anything. I guess someone desperately needed the garden lime I was carrying in my hands. I spawn outside cherno and almost immediately I see another newspawn so I go talk to him. I warn him not to go to elektro and we part ways. A few minutes later I hear gunshots and spot the newspawn in the distance running. He is then shot and lies in the grass. He didnt even have a backpack. I go to cherno town and find some loot. I hear shooting and hide. I spot some corpses but stay away from them as they seem to be bambis with nothing on them and its most likely just a trap. I light a fire in the church and go to the airfield. All is calm and quiet there but theres no loot either so i call it a night. I played on the Wobo community server, a private hive. I thought the players there would be more interested in a fun and interesting game and not just bambikilling and KoS. I guess I am wrong and its like this everywhere.

I had this also the other day. It confused for a bit til I realized it was my toon that was making the sound. Weird because I haven't eaten anyone.....yet. But I did skin a guy and wore his face like a mask while I did my little cookie dance.

When I'm inside and someone is shooting at me it works great to shoot through windows. When I'm inside or outside and shooting at someone inside it does not work.
