I had a quite funny time on 9thcav server. I was approaching Solnichy when I heard Mosin shots . I ddinät wanna go through town do I went over the mountain instead. As I get to the top I hear a gunshot right next to me. I lay down and wait and after a bit I spot the KOS-bambi-killing- wannabe-bandit-sniper. I'm thinking about sneaking up and tieing him up with duct tape but suddenly he stands up so i go for option B and blow him away with my shotgun. The body slips down the mountain so I cant loot it :/ I continue on to Elektro. As I'm scoping the town out from a hill I notice a guy on one of the firestations roof. He's shooting at soemone with a blaze. After a while a crowd gather to try and take him out but it seems one of them is on his side and he ruins the party for the others. I watch for ten minutes through my scope and its quite funny to watch. After the assailants are dead I go into town to restore order but the server restarts :/ I play for a while on another server and find an Ak101 with PU scope, and AKM, an AK74, two AK74su, magazines for all of these and best of all An Mp5-k with magazine, silencer and buttstock. All on the prison island. I have to leave most of it and keep the ak101 and mp5. And I didn't die once. :D

Here is one HUUUUGE difference between the old system and the system we have now. Before when you drank from a fountain, you pressed the button rapidly and got like 20 doses of water or so to get from thirsty to light green hydrated. Now, if you use the f11 system to drink from a fountain, you press three times and you are full but not hydrated.if you were thirsty. You can continue to drink even if you are full to get hydrated but will most likely throw up. Strangely, I can drink 20 soda pops or sip from my canteen 20 times without any problems so it seems that it is only water fountains that cause this. The other day I was starving, stuffed and thirsty and got poisoned by blue berries, then drank a fuel canister full of water, threw up and directly became hydrated and energized. I then ate charcoal tabs and ate some more food and became healthy. Weird stuff. this all happened in the space of ten minutes. I didn't have any more issues with food after that. Then someone lodged an axe between my eyes and all my worries went away.

You fell from the roof and died from a game crash or when the (persistant) server restarted. Went in and there was your body, surrounded by angry zeds.

If the server is restarted its a good place for military loot. Unfortunately lots of a-holes server hop and kill people there too. I actually found a way to swim there and not get wet. Wear a raincoat, firemans pants and put your boots, hat and gloves in a waterproof backpack. Or you can do what i did the first time and leave all your stuff on the beach. It was still there when I got back :) It was in the middle of the night though.

This particular thing hasn't happened to me 0.54. Zombies seem to run around outside closed houses more and not bug their way in as much, although it happens sometimes.

I really like a cr75 with silencer. Its less unwieldy than a rifle, quiet. powerful and always comes out when you press the damn button. Too bad its so hard to find a gun and a clip in the same run. Pistols should really come with a clip preinstalled.

Haha! Naw, I don't think I'm particularly unlucky, I just make a lot of wrong choices and mistakes. Like yesterday, If I had just run up the stairs of the firestation and up on the roof i wouldnt have been hacked to death, and the day before that, had I not been unsuccessful in bringing out my gun I most likely wouldnt have died or I could just have let the guy rob me and I might have survived. Those human steask made me think not, though. Today i died on the prison island. Some russian punk shot me in the back and then shouted obscenities over comms. I didnt even have my gun out. But I did manage to find a few nice things on anohter character. I found a Hind heli crash, my first one. And found an ammo box, two combat knives and an fnx and some m4 mags(why would russians use these?). Unfortunately no ak's but I found one later at a barrack. I also found a rak magazine in a police station on another character.

I can't carry military tents in my hands. I've tried with both of them. And I've only found unused tents, never pitched ones.

All four must've been blind.

I've found one tent and two military tents so far. They're useless for me though as I don't play on persistant servers so I mostly leave them. The military tents are stupid as you cant carry them in your hands.

Yesterday I met a french dude in Elektro. I gave him some food and a loaded flaregun since I didnt need it as I was agriculturing at the moment. That went to shit when the server restarted so i went into town. There I could hear him asking a guy not to kill him. I didnt seem to go to well as i met him again ten minutes later on the road to cherno. For some reason he wants me to have a fistfight with him. i refuse ofcourse so then he wants to come with me. Now, normally I would have let him but when he first wants to fight me and then says to follow me I think not. I run away instead and notice that hes following me at a distance. I leave some stuff along the way and dissapear. When i exit cherno I see him again for a moment. I then hear a mosin shot.

I saw the creepiest thing yesterday. I spawned near Kamyshovo and noticed there were some people running around so i snuck around for a bit and finally got into the police station. As I'm on the roof I notice soem activity in the garages so I lie and wait. After a bit a girl comes running with a bambi tagging along, she's telling him to come along to her friend and lures him into the garages. They then cuff him and do unspeakable things in there. I grabbed the moment and ran to elektro wherer I was axed to death for no reason. Having no gun sucks sometimes.

Way to take the fun out of the game.

I help people every day and almost always get shot eventually as a result of it. I must however say that someone was very very nice to me the othre day when i didn't even deserve it. I tried stealing a guys V3S outside Vybor military base the other day but got stuck on a rock. In stead of getting shot dead, as I was sure would happen, the guy just laughs, tells me where theres a heli crash and gives me an AKM drum mag.

6 shots killed a military zombie for me. Threw that thing away and went strictly derringer for a while.

A couple of funny things happened today. I spawned near Solnichy and there were lots of bambis in the town, one decent guy and a few that only tried to kill everyone so I ran inland instead. I got all the way to Topka and saw a guy killing a zed then run away. As I got to the zed I noticed a V3s flatbed standing by the side of the road. I don't know if the guy left it or if he missed it but the tank was almost full so i took it and drove to NW airfield. To my surprise nobody fired upon me but I managed to flip it over near the ATC so I ran into the fire station. As I got up a few stirs I heard someoen opening one of the doors downstairs so i climbed the tower. As I lay on top of the tower I see at least three more people come running from different directions. As I didn't have any ammo for my guns I logged out. I respawned on the WOBO server where I got killed y-day by the steak guy. I got the same spawn near Berez so I went south along the road. Almost right away A v3s comes speeding and the guy stops to pick me up. I ride along for a while then hop out when he stops. I make my way to Cherno without incident except for some food issues near Tulga,(that plce must be cursed). i ate some blue berries and got sick so I had to carry a fuel canister with water and drink it til I puked a few times. Finally I find some charcoal tabs and fix it. In cherno its quiet, no gunshots and I dont see any signs of people being there. I go to climb one of the industrial towers and i swear I cant hear a thing, then when I get to the very top, BOOM! A guy is standing there with a shotgun waiting. I guess I'm a newspawn tomorrow too :/

I haven't had a problem with this before. You find food, eat and then you move on to more important business. But having to stop and eat every three minutes or so and still dying of starvation is just silly. It should take at least 24 hours in playtime to go from energized and hydrated to dying, not 20 minutes. I also know that there are berrybushes and apples to pick but its quite timeconsuming and by the rate I was going I was going to die before I had found two apples. Also those berries are nasty as you don't know which kind you will find. At least next time I find a dead Bambi I know better than to leave all that prime meat just lying around.

The matter of food I have no problem with the food spawn rate. As it is now it is ok and it could even be lower. But it would be nice if the food you ate actually did something. Today i spawned in Cherno, immediately hungry and unable to find any food my status went to starving in five minutes. I found something to eat and got energized. A short while later while traveling towards Elektro I got starving again, found some food and made it to elektro. In Elektro I found a little food so i could continue my travels but wehn i got to Kamyshovo i was starving again. I searched every house but it was picked clean so I went to the town above Kamyshovo, Tulga. Since it was uphill it took some time and by the time I got there I was dying of starvation. I searched every house and there was nothing. So i did the honorable thing. I made a note of the food I ate during this time. Playtime was 2 hours and 5 minutes. I ate 2 cans of spaghetti(95% and 59%), One can of Tactical bacon (86%) and one canned tuna. I also ate one zucchini, one banana, three tomatoes, one apple and one packet of milk powder. Is it really resonable that you should have to eat so much food in so little time to stay alive? It just seems that all you do is eat, drink, eat, drink, eat , drink etc. I seem to remember that before when you got energized, you wouldn't have to eat for quite some time. it seems to have changed.

I am really getting annoyed with the people who play this game. I don't care about dying and losing gear since I'm never fully geared and can gear up in a couple of hours. But it annoys me that I start to talk to people, help them even and then they attack me, or just kill me. Today it happened four times. Twice I had to kill people who i had just helped just to survive and the other two times I just got shot for no reason after killing zeds attacking the murderers. Then just now I started talking to someone, he then produced some human steaks and raised his gun, telling me to drop my gear. I didn't, tried to get my gun but ofcourse the game fucked it up and I died. At least that one was kinda funny.

Found an AK74 in a car in Cherno.Kinda surprising. Then while sitting on a balcony looking over the airfield I see something in the corner of my eye and hey, its a tent! Pretty useless though since the server is non-persistant and private :/

Carry sticks and matchbox and you can make a fire in seconds to warm you up. Not being damp also helps a lot so swap out damp clothes for others when you can.

I can't believe that went on for so long.

Yesterday something happened that completely surprised me. I came upon Vybor base, having run all the way there from Topka. When i approach the base I hear a V3s approaching. I hide and see a guy jump out. I decide to steal the truck but i don't want to kill him so I just jump in an drive off, he runs after and shoots but my laughter is cut short when i get stuck on a rock. I have to get out and stick my hands up. To my surprise i am not shot dead right away but rather the guy is friendly and even gives me an AKM drum mag. He then tells me where theres a heli crash and offers to drive me there. Unfortunately the v3s is stuck so we cant, but still he doesnt kill me and I leave for the crashsite. Amazing.
