My character had been alive for quite a while and had both mosin with lrs, compensator and wrap and I also had an Mp5 with silencer and two 30 round mags. I was Energized and hydrated but also sick, probably from cholera and I had a painful leg. I had probably been hit by zeds at least fifty times but healed myself before. I didn't wear a helmet. Its been a very long time since I got killed by a zed though.

One of my geared characters got One-punched to death by a zed. Quite surprising I must say.

I've seen a couple of X-bows too but not a single bolt. We should be able to craft them like bow arrows I think. Also the quiver would be nice to see again with a larger capacity.

I'm sure I've read that the final version will be highly moddable. They even said a while ago that there is a possibility of another modders map to be implemented, don't remember the name of it though. It would be nice to see some more gamemodes actually. Sometimes you don't wanna play the full game but just have some short-time fun. H1Z1 has done this with is Battle royale game mode and I think Arma 3 has something similar.

Now wonder all the servers are empty. These guys took all teh loot!

Does one really need 64 Gigabytes of RAM Grimes?

When playing this game has become more about finding food and items with which to gather food and store it than about actually playing the game then something is seriously amiss. I don't know what people enjoying this patch really want from this game but what I want is what the game has been since the mod, up til now, a survival simulator where you compete or cooperate with others for the resources available. This balance has been fine for a year and now its been disrupted, simply because the resources available are gone. Most taken by hoarders I would guess, from the images of camps people post. It is possible to survive even as the game is now, but its not fun. And games are usually made to be fun. Even this one. People saying "this games probably not for you" should seriously just stfu. When all this is reverted you won't be leaving because the game suddenly isn't for you.

I'm hoping they will soon implement food into the game. Imagine being able to find a can of beans and eating it. I would like a story with missions. Remove the books and replace them with documents leading to storydriven missions of some kind. Something to do other than just roam around and loot.

Its a valid argument, the loot situation is way too hard for newspawns and this greatly affects playstyle. I have almost only geared characters now from 0.54 alive(one 0.55 guy who as a newspawn found three dead guys to loot) where before I always had some quite new characters that I could play with and in my opinion have the most fun with. I really enjoyed the gearing up part where you built your character and interacted with others doing the same thing but that is gone now when its impossible to build a character unless you are very very lucky. You will simply starve before you can do anything interesting. Its a challenge alright but its too uphill to even be the slightest bit of fun. Now, everybody wants different things and some people seem to be perfectly happy with how things are right ow but simply but looking at server pop its quite clear that most people do not. I've said it before, the way things are now should be how hardcore mode is and how it was before should be standard. That way you can choose. As long as the lootsystem we have now will not be what the finished product is like I guess its alright. So, hotfix wednesday ftw?

This is so weird. Before this patch you could move to the vicinity of any larger town and military area and you would see people, hear shots fired or be attacked by mad people. Today and yesterday I've been to prison island, balota, cherno, elektro, kamyshovo, solnichy, vybor, zelenogorsk, myshkino and stary sobor and i've met a total of four people, all newspawns or with low end gear. No aggression, no shots fired in anger and nothing real exciting happening. The servers have been quite populated with 15-50 people on them and i've played with multiple different characters. Sometimes I've heard a shot far off but it seems as though the tension and action has somehow dissapeared. Or is it just me thats having this experience?

Today I found a smersh vest in an ordinary house. My first. My jaw just dropped. Then I put my pants on the ground for some reason and they dissapeared. Now they call me Nopants-smersh-guy. Found a landmine too. So If you see a V3s parked outside Myshkino military base. Go up to it. Its ok, I promise.

I actually went there yesterday and found five mp5 mags and some handguns, no machineguns. Also found food, which made it worth the trip. And thirty or so handcuffs. Way too many handcuffs. You can still drive the truck there. I broke my legs exiting the vehicle though so bring morphine or a splint. Pretty sure its a military spawn location, due to what spawns there.

Every time I've eaten raw meat i've gotten sick so i don't do it if I don't have to. Right now i have charcoal tabs though and you only need to eat one to get rid of the sickness.

I've had less KoS happen. Actually not once since the patch. Probably because i've stayed away from the beach but also since I haven't played much. Things seem to be working better now though, there is actually loot, its just very random. All the people I've met have been starving and I've given them food and drink. They haven't had any firearms. Someone did take potshots at my truck today as i rolled through Elektro though. Bastards.

I gave away some rice to a newspawn today. It probably just fattened him up for the cannibals though :/

I managed to run to the fountain and drink my fill. Then I got starving but found a goat and ate it. Now I need to find more food so I can get my health back. I played with two other characters today and had a stroke of luck. I found a plate carrier for my gun holster and a truck to drive around with. Then I had some rotten luck and on my way to prison island my character broke his legs and ended up on the ocean floor. Luckily I could climb into my truck down there and drive to a small island and get a splint. With the other character i found a high cap vest in an outhouse near the beach. Met two people who werent hostile too. Overall a good but not very eventful day.

I find myself in a bit of a pickle. I have a semi-geared character, Mosin with scope, lots of ammo, M65 jacket, pack, assault vest but no food or drink, he's currently dying of dehydration. I know there's a fountain about 400 metres from where i currently am but my screen is VERY gray so he might drop any second. Do I drop the gear and hope I get there with my newspawn or should I run for the fountain? I got the gear for free off a dead guy but its still sad to lose it.

I've died there more times than I can count. And only twice have I been shot. Still I find myself standing there thinking "There could be an m4 up top"

Interesting that you should mention this, I thought about doing a thread about it. I haven't had any rain since the patch. Some clouds though but good weather mostly.
