I remember once when I was just spawned and saw a guy falling off the chimney in Berezino. I looted his corpse and got loads of nice loot including a scoped mosin. I then made it all the way to the harbour and then, "You are dead". So annoying. I made it back to my corpse and it was stuck on a ladder, unlootable. Other than that, dying from glitches really suck.

I had an interesting night. I logged in incherno with a pretty new character weilding only a sawn-off shotty and almost right away spotted a three guys up to no good. I avoided them and I'm glad I did as I heard shooting shorter after. As i moved up towards Dubky I see another two guys ruunning towards chapaevsk. As I enter a building near the road I find a dead guy in there. As I get to Dubky its looted and i find another dead guy in the middle of the street, Jeezus! I go to Chapaevsk prison and close the door behind me. Moments after it opens, I sit still and ready my gun, a guy appears blazing so I blast him with my shotty. He lives. I position myself better and ask him shy? No answer. He appears again blazing so i pump two rounds of shotty into his ugly face again and he drops. I go unconscious and never wakes up(you never seem to recover form unconsciousness in 0.57?). I respawn in Elektro and theres murder going on there too so I go along the coast to avoid it. I find an axe which saves my life as I hear gunshots and happen to run into two guys carving up some poor dead guy. They see me so i go into a house and hides. A guy comes in with a flare gun so I whack him and he dies. His friend comes in so i whack him and he dies. I take his gear. As I'm looting two bambis show up. I explain myself and tell them to take what they want. I leave. I go up country and after a while I spot a guy standing by a deer stand. I talk to him but he doesnt reply. I check his name and tie him up. I go through his gear but he has nothing of worth so I cut the ropes and move on. He still doesnt react. I come to some buildings, go in and find ANOTHER DEAD GUY! In the middle fo nowhere almost. Hes recently dead too but I spot no people anywhere. I go to the Stary tents. The server restarts and i find a truck right away so i got top the first heli site. Theres a guy there but he has no ammo so we tag along and go to the second heli site. Theres two guys there shooting so we go to the third. Theres no good gear but I give the guy some ammo and my hunting scope. We go to the airfield and the guy has some net problems so he logs out. I go on to the prison. While Im there I hear shooting adn I see someone come running so I plant a mine in front of the door. I sit and wait, the door opens and its the guy from before. I screma to him not to come in but he does, the mine explodes and....nothing. It says "you have been hurt by a landmine" but no damage is inflicted. We go on but only get to the hangars til the server crashes.

Its a pity that they made NW airfield a useless place. It used to be the center of things because of the Epic loots found there but now there is no point at all in going there. Veresnik at least has some bmp's with good loot and a guard house. Myshkino tent city still has a lot of good stuff. Weapons, vests and stuff.

0.55 was great with the zeds but too much on the "Bear-grylling" which made it quite boring but more of a challenge. 0.57 has harmless zeds and too much on the "PVP-Cod-kiddies-An ak for all" bit which makes citys exciting but the survival aspect pointless. Now to find a balance. Hopefully 0.55 zeds will be back soon.

Just yesterday I lost two Cr75's, one mp5k and one cr527 with scope on two different characters. They're not gone, They've been dropped somewhere and someone will be very happy finding a fully loaded weapong but unfrtunately its not me. This bug has actually been in the game for a long time but its been worsened by this patch. A lot. I also encountered a bug where the gun was gone from my inventory but it still existed in my quick-bar. I could put items in its intended slot and still access and use it. I even killed a guy with it. I've also noticed that if you have clothes or other slotted items in your inventory and pick up things when all slots are filled, it will put the items in them.

I have the shinyness of buildings and fences as well. Its been like that for a very long time.

In a real life survivalist scenarion, who in their right mind would throw away their weapon just to fit a can of soda in there or because they need to walk over a 40 cm high fence? Nobody would ofcourse. As long as you got a notification of weapon dropped or something this system would be acceptable. As it is now its not working well and the old system was better.

As I understand the m4, aug, ak101, ump and svd and their magazines only spawn on heli crashes. I did however find an svd mag y-day on a humvee sooo....maybe? I did see a guy sporting an m4 the other day so they do exist for sure.

Some annoyance today and one good thing. I spawned outside cherno and jogged towards the city. After a bit I hear voices so i go to investigate. Two bambis come running, one chasing the other yelling threatening obecenities. I blow the annoying one away away. Later I approach cherno and the weirdest thing happens. I notice intense lag and then my character starts skidding along the ground, a bambi appears and I am tossed hundreds of metres into the air. I then fall and die. I have no idea what happened. Might have been a hacker but I have had this happen to me before while in a v3s so I can't be sure. I log in with another character in elektro. I have a cr257 with hunting scope so I keep to the outskirts. Theres a war going on with lots of shooting and everybody seems hostile. I geared guy spots me so i shoot him in the head from 200 m, nothing happens so I run and hide. I go up in a crane adn spot the guy and a friend on sniper hill. I watch them for a while adn they kill another player down by the guard house so I shoot one of them but he sneaks away. The other guy starts shooting so I shoot him too but hes immune to bullets. He approaches the crane adn im forced to keep low as his friend shoots whenever I pop up. He starts talking to me, trying to lure me out but just as Im gonna pop him again the server restarts :/ I log in on the same server but the two guys doesnt show up so i go down from the crane and continue on to kamyshovo. A couple of hundred metres away someone starts shooting at me from the elektro side so i hide in a tree. I hear him bustling past and just as Im gonna ready my gun I see that ITS MISSING! The damn game left it in the crane! I only have a cr75 as backup so i sti tight for a bit then decide to go back for my gun. I make it to the fences by the guardhouse when I am shot at and hit. I lie down and the guy comes running, its the same one from before or at least he looks the same but hes not talking. He probably thinks Im dead but I empty ten bullets into him and he drops. I take his AK and leave. everything else on him is ruined. I cant get his name as he's already left the server. Half my equipment is ruined but I can reload the ak and feel quite good about the whole thing. Now happens the most annoying thing of the whole evening. I am hydrated and energized but my screen stays white. I bandage myself, use morphine and epi-pen and eat six or seven cans of food and drink lots of water and soda. I do notice that my statuses are not updating and the server is emptying so i go to another public server. On this one the statuses seem to work as I am instantly unconscious and never wake up. And I had gone all the way from Elektro to maybe 500 m from Stary sobor just to drop because of those damn statuses not updating. Really annoying.

I didn't notice they changed it either, lol.

I understand the idea behind this and the idea is not bad, the implementation is though as as a player you dont have control over it. Items picked up are placed where they shouldnt be and this causes the place for the weapon to not exist and its instead placed on the ground. Sometimes the weapon then dissapear and cannot be retrieved. This happens every time I play in one way or another. Often dissapeared items can be found in the vicinity as they are usually placed somewhere. But if you have already moved away from the area when you noticed your item is gone it can be extremely frustrating. Ofcourse these situations can be avoided if you are very meticulous with your inventory.

I got robbed today. Bastards. Well, at least they didn't kill me. I also lost two mp5's and a magnum for no apparent reason. One second they were in my inventory and then they werent. I'm not bothered to go back and look for them either but its quite annoying. I also got shot when the game wouldnt let me swap to another weapon. I doublecarried a winchester and a shotty. I was looting a humvee when two guys approached. i greeted them and they started shooting. They were quite awful shots so I pressed my buttons to get my shotty or makarov out but nothing happened. I tried again and again but it just wouldnt work. In the end I had to tab to move the weapons and then they got me.

I have not seen any 5-56 ammo or .45 acp anywhere except in 1911 magazines. Vehicles are NOT persistant, it seems to be completely random. Desync is worse than earlier patches causing all sorts of problems. Throwing doesnt work very well. Weapons you carry in packs or clothes get lost easily due to inventory moving around irrationally for no apparent reason. The guard houses spawn way too much loot. Other than that, its ok.

My first character died in a guard tower at balota airfield. I didnt hear a shot or anyhting just: You are dead. Ah well. I then had some firefights in Cherno. I spawned at bluetop and just a minute after I spawned in two fully geared guys spawns in too. I quickly climb down and talk to them a bit. They thank me for not killing them by shooting at me ruining stuff which i only noticed later when a guy comes unexpectedly around a corner. i raised my mp5, click click, I switched to the cr, click click, I ran. Both had been ruined as well as a waterbottle, medpack, vest and jacket, grrrr. Later I spot the fellow again while crawling in some bushes and somehow he sees me lying prone behind a tree at 300 metres. I couldnt believe it so I ran again. I checked out the action with my hunting scope from a great distance but it was too far to get a shot so I went to Elektro instead. Just as I got there the server restarted. I tried another character and things went well. I met a new player but he didnt want to talk. I found a truck but flipped it at Novo and almost got killed getting out. Found an AK and called it a night.

Getting back on topic, I wouldn't agree with the threadstarter that the whole thing with finding magazines are a great bother or problem. Rather it gives a purpose to an otherwise quite eventless looting session. Also its not like theres no room to put magazines in your pack. Most players carry a shitload of stuff that they will most likely never use. When I logged in today with a character I hadn't played since 0.57 was released I saw that he had 8 packs of Ak74 ammo. But no ak, no mag and one scope that doesnt fit on an ak. Ofcourse I tossed all of it and an hour later I found an Ak :/

If you get a prison siland spawn you should spawn in a locked cell dressed in the prison outfit. Everything else is just wrong.

I have basically the same setup and with native resolution and most things on high or very high I get around 30-40 fps in towns. From what info I can gather the cpu does most of the job in this game so overclocking it might give a few more fps. Its probably a good ide to wait til Beta instead and see what happens with the performance before changing anything.

I had an interesting time on the UKAFEED server. I spawned in Berezino and made my way to the police station. A guy comes in so i talk abit with him then give him shotgun shells and food. As Im leaving i see another guy hiding downstairs so i bolt away, hide and wait for the carnage to ensue. Nothing happens. Dissapointed I go on. I notice someone following me so i hide and wait. He runs past so I wait for a bit then check out the guard houses. Theres ridculous amounts of loot as usual so i pick up a Ak74su but no clips. I continue out of town and go to the factory. I hear a few shots ahead so I sneak up and look for the culprits but fidn nobody. I go through Solnichy without event noticing a newspawn dashing for the town. I leave him be. I finally get to Kamyshovo and the fun begins. I check out the town from the hill and see nobody so i go to the police station. I close the doors and go upstairs. Suddenly I hear shots from the coast, a winchester and a mosin. I sit up top looking over the edge and suddenly the door downstairs open. A guy appears and I shoot thingking its a murderer. Turns out it was just a newspawn and hes not happy. He hits me once before going prone with a broken leg. We chat for a bit, I give him a morphine and apologize. I give him one of my guns and to my suprise he doesnt kill me. Suddenly a newspawn rushes in swinging wildly so brokeleg guy kills him. Theres more shooting outside so i decide to get a better look. Bad idea. I go to the hill near town, i see a guy and he sees me then I'm shot. I don't die or break my legs so I run like hell and hide in a bush. My vest is ruined, my jacket and my backpack and every fucking item in these! I dont even have a rag so I take my blackskull balaclava and tear it into rags. As Im bandaging a guy runs past on the road. Hes not geared and doesnt have a rifle so I let him be. I think it was the guy I saw before I was shot though. I clear out some ruined crap and I have three bullets for my winchester and my screen is gray As Im contemplating my situation a bambi comes walking. i greet him and he attacks me with an axe so i shoot him. I now have two bullets. sigh. I take a roundabout way and try to find the guys shooting and notice that the shooting comes from one of the islands. i check em out with my binos but cant see anyone. I decide to swim there so i move west for a bit then swim parralell to the coast. As i sneak around there I hear mosin and winchester shots from town. I look and sure enough, there they are. Unfortunately I cant shoot them as I dont have a scope so i move along the islands towards Elektro. Suddenyl I hear ak shooting so i check the town. A truck has arrived and theres a great battle. The guys in the truck is pinned by the mosin/winchester fags and theres a lot of shooting by both sides. At this time my game starts lagging like a bitch so i log out and play with another charater for a while, going to Stary yar for a hunting scope. Finsishing that mission i return to the carnage in Kamy and now there two trucks parked in the middle of the road and people running around. I decide to go to Elektro instead. It was probably a bad mistake as its picked clean and not long after some mp5k guy kills me.

With and without. Also, there are no shit firearms. Ive killed more people with pistols and shotguns than with automatics. This isnt battflefield so having the best gun doesnt automatically make you win. Mostly you get shot by someone you dont even see and then the weapon doesnt matter one bit. A scope makes a big difference though.

Found an AKM on a humvee y-day. it was at novaya petrovka on the Wobo eu server. I left it there as I already had an Ak74 with mags.

I found it later so all is well.

I went into a house in Severograd to eat and drink and heard a truck approach. And the strangest thing happened. The guy ran straight for my house, ran upstairs, opened the door and ran inside. He seemd surprised to see me crouching with an ak raised. I said Hi and he ran away. I yelled that I didnt want to kill him but he ran to his truck and drove away. I wonder why he went to that particular house? It was empty and not a highvalue house either. I then went on my journey and about an hour after Im sitting in the policestation when I hear someone come in and start rummaging around. I say Hi, Im upstairs adn everything goes quiet and I hear someone readying his weapon. I say hello but he doesnt repsond. I prepare for battle but it doesnt come. I throw a flare downstairs but nobody responds so I check and hes gone. I log out. I then spawn a new guy on another server. Goes towards kamyshovo and finds food, a backpack and a sporter with ammo in the space of five minutes. Then a complete asshole shoots me. I break my leg and try to crawl away but the guy ties me up and accuses me of attacking him and his mates. I tell him hes wrong and that his mum must have mated with a gorilla. He shoots at someone else and i wriggle out of my bonds. He tells me to bandage myself so i do. he says I snuck on him with my sporter but as it was on my back I say I was only looking for the alley where his mum blows every guy on the server and then for some unknown reason I am shot dead. Bastards.

It seems water is bugged somehow in 0.57. Sometimes drinking does nothing and at other times it works as it should, its the same wether you're drinking form wells or from canteens. Drinking soda cans always seems to do the trick though. Also eating certain food items(cans of peaches, apples) give you good hydration also.
