Ive had two similar things happen two days in a row. 2 deaths, 1 by asshole and 1 by thegame not doing what it should. The first two began with me going to the hills overlooking NWA. I ddint have a good reason for it as i only had a chambered sporter with scope and a rak but I wanted to overlook for a bit. I sat down in a tree and quickly spotted some dudes runnign about so i moved in a bit closer. After sitting in a bush for a bit I suddenly noticed the bush moving. A ghille guy steps out and starts shooting. I tell him Whoa and he stops so we laugh a bit and I run away. All my bandages are ruined and also my Rak so i ask him for a bandage and he shoots me. Pretty silly. I log in with another character thats also at the airfield. I only move for a bit and then hear someone shooting. I locate the culprit and move up. I then stand about ten metres from him, aim my silenced 9mm and squeeze of six rounds that all shouldve hit. He turns around, sprays me down. He shouldve been dead. The other two actually involves the same two players twice. I get a newspawn character from solnichy to Kamenka and am starving when I get there. When I go into the first twostory green house I notice a guy lying down on the floor at the top. I check his pulse and hes alive and concious so i dont want to kill him so i tie him up. he has food so i take some and eat it. I then hear yelling outside so I move into another room and ready my rak with 8 bullets :/. It turns out its the guys friend and they are nto happy. He comes in to try and get me so I fire off my rounds and he runs off. They try to get me for a bit then start talking real friendly like. I have nothing but a chambered sporter and a chambered pistol so I decide too give up as they promise not to hurt me. I go down and the game i tied up shoots me dead for no reason. Very silly. Nows the good part. I respawn and go to myshkino. I get a shotgun on the way there and a few bullets. As I get there theres a lot of shooting. I check for a bit from the outside of the tents and then see a guy come running by. I blast him and he drops. I then go to check what the shooting was and go to the huntign stand and theres two dead guys there. As Im lootign them another guy appears and start shooting. Zombies attack him so i taunt him and order the zombies to kill him. He recognizes my voice and I his, its the guy from earlier and the guy i shot was the guy that shot me. He runs away to avoid the zeds and I climb down and go into the tents. I loot them for a bit carefully looking for the guy. After a while he appears, still chased by zombies and now armed with an ak. I still have my shotgun so not very good odds. I decide it might be better to avoid him so start to leave. Then he comes running so i hide. But he hasnt seen me so when he runs by I blast him at five metres range, twice, with a shotgun. I see his legs go off but still he manages to spray me and I die. I dont knwo if I got him but I find it hard to believe that he should have lived. A bit annoying anyways but also rewarding in a way.

Well, it sounds like great fun and all but I dont have the patience for constant roleplaying even if I occasionally do it on normal servers, just for fun. What I was mostly talking about here is the part about playing on empty servers while gearing up and only going to public servers wehn you're fully geared. it seems kinda pointless to me as I find the first three parts of the game most interesting; Newspawn, low-geared and medium-geared. Fully-geared usually means that most of the games states are no longer a problem, you have the gear you need and cant really want for anything, except maybe another type of gun or a pristine jacket instead of worn. I personally play way more carefully when I'm fully-geared as I dont want to die and it quickly gets boring. I understand that some people like the aspect of growing a community and making camps and stuff but I dont care for that stuff. Mostly because some asshat always comes along and ruins everything.

You are missing the point of the game by looting up on your server and then going to other servers to play. The fun part of the game is building your character and running around the map. Once you are fully geared, the only thing that remains is to get into a firefight and get shot. Other games do that part much better, like Arma 3 for instance.

If you played in recent patches, in 0.57 they made a loot of military loot spawn at the guard houses around the map, at humvees and wrecked military vehicles. If you were lucky, you could get an Ak and vest really quickly. It was fun sometimes but mostly it made people not need or want to go anywhere else, which was not so fun. I do miss it though and wish there was a day of Beach-romp every week with loot just like it.

Also, its not the devs here who ban you, its done automatically through battleeye. So even if you were not a dirty cheater, nobody here could do anytihng about it. You can appeal to Battleeye and they will tell you what you did and why you got banned.

The last times I've been killed by hackers it has been at Zeleno and vybor. Its pretty obvious when it happens as its shooting through walls and stuff.

Sigh. I try public again after the last debacle and whaddyanow, killed by a hacker. Quite an obvious one this time. Back to private I guess.

They seem to only spawn at the US heli crash. But I found a holster at Myshkino tents. Someone might have dropped it though. Heli crashes are very strange, it seems that the longer you hang around the more items spawn at them. I sometimes roll around in the grass around the heli, making a flat surface for the items, and a fool of myself if anybodys watching.

I've noticed that if you do not sprint but jog, you can go all the way to the airfield without starving. The eating situation as it is right now is pretty well balanced. You should have been around for the famine patch of 0.55. Those were the days. People dropping dead after half an hour from starvation, Bambis cooking over open fires all along the coast while maniacal laughter and crying could be heard all over.

This seems to be not completely safe. I put a unpinned grenade in an ammo box in my backpack as a nasty surprise for whoever kills me. Boom! And I was dead right away. Had an interesting thing happen last night. I logge din at Novaya petrovka and looted there for a bit then went to the airfield. As I approach i hear Ak shots. I sneak up and hear someone reloading and a guy comes running with an AK. He sees me so I have no choice but to shoot with my Glock. He gets off a few shots but i get him. I take his AK and look for a corpse but cant fin anyone else so I loot the tents. I continue on to the tin sheds and quonset hut and the server restarts. No biggie I think and log back in when the server restarts and I'm in the same building I started in at Novaya petrovka. No ak or other gear that I picked up. Wtf? I have experience rollbacks before of a minute or two but this was probably 25 minutes to half an hour of playtime where nothing really counted? Very strange. I then went to Tisy and actually found some good gear there so that was nice.

I was watching a stream of Arma 3 King of the hill and noticed they have a much better system for player death than current dayz. If a player is downed, he doesnt die but is incapaciteted, staying thus for an unlimited time(or so it seemed) so his teammates could get to him and revive him. The enemy could still steal his gear and make loud farting noises over his corpse like usual but the idea of having a chance to actually live on even when you get shot realy appeals to me. Its a bit sad in this game as once you go unconcious there is very little chance that you will survive. Even if you wake up your usually just gunned down right away. Saving someone that yuo find randomly could also make for interesting encounters. Before the new UI the system for doing things was simple, you chose the item, chose what you wanted to do and it did it, well most of the times. Now you choose the item and when you are about to choose what action to take, the dropdown menu dissappears. You choose it again and it dissappears, and again, and again. Sometimes it works right away. This is very annoying and needs some tweaking. It happens with most items so its not related to only a few.

If theres a grenade in an item you better not pick it up. Its also possible to put a live grenade in a container and keep it in your inventory. If someone kills you and takes the grenade out it will explode. It does seem like the sound of the explosion has a low chance of actually playing but the graphic will.

No. But its still a good upgrade for your computer as loading times will decrease significantly with Dayz and every other game or program on your computer. But it wont stop fps drops, its a game problem even guys with monster computers have.

I know that. i watch Wobo videos too. Its still to damn short when you get shot.

Weel you are making quite a few good points so I won't argue with you. I personally don't use such tactics and didn't think that people would care enough to do so. I guess I am wrong. I usually play alone and dont have anyone to revive me but at those times where I've played with someone else and they have been downed there have never been a chance to revive them which sucks. The unconcious period is simply to short.

Dont play on public. Theres not so much cheaters on private servers as they get banned quickly.

A guy thought it would be a good idea to attack me while I was holding a chainsaw. It wasn't. Also, explain the logic here, Two guys come up to the barrack I am in at Pavlovo mil base, Lots of zombies outside so I had closed the door. I talk to them adn they ask If I am friednly, i say yes, i am a police officer(cuz I was dressed as one). Put down your gun and come out, they say. No i wont be doing that I say but I am friendly. In they come blasting. I shoot one dead and hit the other but gets stuck on a dead zombie and dies. Why even ask if I am friendly if you are going to kill me anyways? I have met a few friendlies though but also the usual buttholes pretending to be friendly and then shooting you with a sporter even after you've tried to help them. I also noticed something stupid. Having three different characters passing through zeleno on the same night I noticed a lot of newspawns running for Myshkino at different routes. These people dont stop to loot but are just running directly to Myskino to gear up. Pretty silly.

Sniped by some lowlife scum at myshkino and killed by a hacker on public. Public is stupid. Half of the times I die its to some invisible guy shooting me through a wall.

I got really lucky three times yesterday with the same character in the same session. I went to NWAF and saw a heli crash nearby. Due to previous events I was naturally very cautious but eventually went to it. I notice a body nearby and pick up a nice M4 and some other gear. I then move on to the hangars and As I approach them i see two geared guys a bit further ahead. I call to them but they dont respond. They see me though and spread out. I wait for a bit adn is then shot at from an unknown location. I run into the woods and stop in some trees. After a while a guy runs past at a distance and then someone runs straight past my tree without spotting me. I wait for five minutes or so then continue on my travel. Later I'm on my way to Zeleno and stop near green mountain to drink. I spot a guy at a distance runing, then another and then I spot one just fifty metres from me so I quickly drop down. One more guy appears and they run past me and dissapear towards VMC. I also had some fun in Cherno. Its been pretty dead for a while but it seems to have picked up a bit. I go there adn see nobody so i go up into blue adn go unto the bridge between blue and triple yellow. But I cant get up so i go back adn then someone starts sniping at me. I take cover as good as i can and look around and suddenly the place is bustling with activity. two bambis below hiding, two guys in the tower and a sniper on the hospital roof. I suspect the sniper so I shoot a few rounds at him with my SVD but I dont think i got him. I try to get back to blue but I cant so I'm kinda stuck up there. I crawl around for a time til I'm sniped and dies. At least noone can use my loot :) Does anyobdy know if you can get off that bridge between blue and triple yellow?

I actually miss the coastal warfare that existed before 0.60. It was great fun sometimes and a pain at others but you could avoid it if you wanted to. Now its just not there. It all seems to be about going to NWAF/myshkino.

I'ver had no problems from hyperthermia as of yet. I get the messages but they dont seem to do anything as long as you keep yourself hydrated. Just ignore it, it will get fixed at some point in the far future.

I've done that a few times. Once I got shot up at Krasnoe by some guy I saw earlier but decided to leave alone. I couldnt really understand why he even killed me as I didnt even have a rifle. Another time it was dark and I fell off a cliff and broke my legs. I didnt have any rags so I had to crawl for a very long time to get to a town and find some. It was kinda hilarious.

I got sniped at a heli crash again. Wtf? get a life you damn campers. But then i found a UMP so its all fine. Now to find a mag for it at.......heli crashes?
