I logged in near the airfield, went towards the tents and spotted a guy near the sandbag bunker. I ducked behind some bushes and not long after shots starts whizzing through the shrubbery. The guy mustve burnt through 3 mags from his ak and didnt hit me once. I hid and readied my Cr75. After a bit the guy came closer so I waited for him to pass but he basically came right at me so I took a few shots but got killed. Afterwards I remembered that I had a pum-paction shotgun on my back. Darnit. At least I didnt have anything of value for him to loot.

Yeah, remove the fun aspects of the game, like knowing if there are people on your server, their names and while you're at it, remove communicating, seeing other players or why not just add a feature that just shows a screen that says "you are dead" when you log in. This is not real life, its a game. And a game is meant to be fun. Its not fun having no fun.

Press the 1m button and theres no decline. Its quite natural that people will buy a game and try it and then stop when they dont like it. When the game is finished we'll see what happens, til then theres no need to bother.

Got killed by hackers in 0.58. Three of them by svet. I was moving away from there when i heard ak fire so i went back, lay in a tree about 300 metres away completely hidden then Bang! you are dead. I couldnt believe it, the shots where form inside town so nobody shouldve even had a reason to look at where I was but I figured it was legit til I respawned in svet, ran for my corpse and met three guys with autos. Two were identical and one was wearing my gear. I ran around, talking to them while the two with identical gear warped around for a bit. Not like desync but just moving to places in seconds. Then as I was punching the guy with my gear out I was shot. I respawned in Cherno and a guy was swimming around in the street so I called it a night.

The AKSu is a great alternative to these. The ammo is plentiful but mags are hard to find. And it kinda sucks that you cant put a scope on it. I usually use the mp5, mostly because if I find a UMP I cant find mags for it and if I find mags I rarely find a UMP. I do prefer the UMP as it feels more stable shooting.

The two last times I was held up I complied and was shot anyways for no apparent reason so no more of that.

Server hopping is lame, I agree. And boring. I used to do it when I started out as I also wanted the "cool" gear. Then I learned to play the game and found that other things are way cooler. The feeling when a guy with an m4 is terrorising a town. killing everyone and you are sneaking around with your sawed-off double barrel with two rounds. Then as he is rounding a corner, BLAM! two rounds to the face and that m4 is yours. That is an awesome feeling that cant be had by running around on empty servers looking for loot. Unfortunately for me, the game kinda ends once you get a good primary with some mags. The fun is getting there, after that, PvP:ing is not really my thing in this game as its so unforgiving. You have to be so damn careful, sneaking around, looking everywhere. Then when you've looked really carefully at an area, moves in....you are dead. Not fun. Its easier if you are a team, then you can cover echother and if you die its not a big deal as your team will protect your gear til you return.

I had a character on public with m4, acog, bipod, 2 double mags, mp5, longhorn and fnx with sight and mags go on top of a tall apartment buidling in cherno last week. When I logged in today he was Under the building. I tried getting out but couldnt so I relogged. Then I was a newspawn again. I went to the house but saw nothing so I dont know what happened. I wouldve given you that m4. I have another character with m4 on the blue waffle private shard. I'll trade it to you for a sporter with 30 rnd mag and scope. Pm me if youre interested.

If you must have one just go to the NW airfield or myshkino tents on an empty server. Go to the Quonset hut and if theres nothing there, change server, repeat til you get the m4 and clips. Its pretty lame to server hop like this though and you will get killed soon enough and lose the m4 so its better to play normally. But a lot of the people who go to the coastal cities use this tactic. It only takes a few hours from spawning.

Yes, Server hoppers and ghosters are a pretty good reason for getting one though. You can also watch the BEC logs.

This seems to be fixed in experimental. Animals move around and behave normally. In 0.58 I once found aherd of maybe six cows running around in a circle. I went and stood in the middle of the circle and they ran around me for a while.

Yes. You will go to bed crying after spending 5-6 six hours gearing up only to be killed by some dirty KOS:ing squeaker kid whos then taunting you over comms. And after 14-1500 hours of terfilled nights you will consider your decision to spend a whole 25 or so euros on such a short but painful experience. Wait for the finished game is my advice. And don't shoot people in the back like a coward.

I was under the impression that the ability to reload sinlge rounds was taken out in 0.59 exp. I haven't tried it myself, just saw it on TRMZ stream and there was talk about it and testing.

From what the forum mods and developers say on these forums that is not the case. Rules DO apply, even on private shards.

I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to have these rules even on private servers. The servers aren't your own, they are just hired. The rules can be found here: https://dayz.com/files/pdf/Server_Hosting_Rules_Private.pdf They do not clearly state what you may kick or ban a player for but if you read the forums its basically just cheating or glitching, not Kos:ing, hoarding, douching or squeaking

Drinking form canteen works for me. Drinking from the tap directly seems to do very little. It got me off Dying of dehydration but never hydrated or even stuffed. I tried for like five minutes til I gave up.

I've been playing a lot on the 0.59 exp 1pp 75 man server the last few days and I must say its been a lot more immersive than the 3pp experience. I do agree however that making it the norm would chase a lot of people away. Its a bit sad as the game is much better in 1pp. Also I tried playing at night without adjusting the gamma, using torches and flares and such and it was very rewarding. The atmosphere is greatly increased. Its much harder though and a great disadvantage against other players who are using gamma.

My strategy is pretty simple: When I see people, I greet them and act non-hostile. The only times I shoot is when I am assaulted or someone is assaulting someone else . I never KOS. I do use caution when I see other players though. I usually watch them and try to avoid them If I can. I havent seen any hacking on 0.59 exp but a guy got global banned just a few minutes ago so they sure are trying. A lot of people seem to just want to kill players, no matter how geared or ungeared they are. I had a very annoying thing happen to me today. My dude got thirsty and I didnt have a canteen so I went from Stary sobor to Grishino and during this extremy short trip he went to "I'm dying of dehydration" and my health dropped til the screen got all grey adn fuzzy. I did notice a very dumb thing about the new UI which I was using: You cant see your status and you cant reset your fuzzy vision, even after drinking enough water too drown a small african village. I had to relog and go back to the old UI. But when I logged in a guy was just outside my house so i had to sit and wait for him to leave. It was obvious he was going for the airfield adn so was I so I went on a roundabout tour as to not cross paths with him. I got a bit lost and ended up in fucking Stary yar! How I managed to cross the entire half of the map without recognizing where I was is a big mystery. I blame the grey-dark.

At first I thought It was me that got killed but it turned out it wasnt. But I was killed with a grenade in the policestation in Novy sobor by some frenchies yesterday. It seems to kill through walls which suck a bit. Also, you should lower the volume of the music so its easier to pick out what is being said ingame.

What the hell? I spawned there yesterday and ran from it, twice. I had no clue there were new buidlings. Gotta check 'em out.
