Just play on 3pp server in 1pp mode and it works way better. I do it all the time and only switch to 3pp when I need the extra view. 1pp is more immersive also and makes the game more fun. Especially if you, like me, enjoy getting shot in the face all the time.

That kinda depends on how you look at things. If the way you look at things is this: We want money, when we got the money, people can go fuck themselves. then that kinda makes sense. I don't see any of that sentement coming from the Dev department though. But its a very small crew. Things take time. I simply believe that they are doing as good as they can but they may have taken on more than they can handle. Thats why its been delayed. They should have simply said from the start, this will take a lot of time, be patient and not say it likes its gonna be done anytime soon. I've disscussed this lively with people on youtube and in the steam forum but its pointless. Some people have simply decided for themselves how things are and no facts are going to change that. I particularly like the so common quote: " the mod was so much better" which is just plainly wrong. I can believe that the EXPERIENCE one had in the mod was better, but most likely becuase it was new and interesting things happened that you hadn't seen before. Its the same thing as saying that gaming was so much more fun on the old Commodore 64, which is was, in a way, becuse you didn't know any better. Load it up today and you will be severly dissapointed. The mod was a laggy, buggy, severely limited game, which is not anywhere even close to where Dayz Sa is today. But its impossible to get anyone to understand it, they have already decided.

You should be aware that Arma3 is a power-hungry beast, and doesnt run very well with low-end computers. If you then run a mod it will most likely be eating some of your fps as well. As for what game you should play, it all depends what you are after. From what I've seen of the Arma 3 dayz mod its all about Pvp, there are no survivalist aspects, and frankly it looks kinda stale. The Exile mod looks better. But this is a Dayz standalone forum, and we're all here because we like standalone. So get a high-end PC and get Standalone. A small tip regarding building your PC, You can get a really good computer buy not buying a new one. If you buy the older model of i7 (1366 socket)For example, you can buy a cpu, motherboard and lots of ram for the price of just a new i5 cpu. And they are similar in performance, at least regarding Dayz. Then you can get a better graphic card. Bear in mind that a decent graphic card for Dayz wil alone most likely cost you those 250 pounds.

The helmets and vest DO offer protection. Its just not so noticeable as most guns that are commonly used cause a lot of damage. You can take quite a lot of damage from small arms but only a few rounds from an ak and usually only one or two from a high powered hunting rifle or SVD.

You buy one, plug it in and play. Just look at one of the million videos on youtube on how to do it. Good cards to are Nvidia Gtx 970 or Amd radeon R9 290/390. You can also buy and older card, I have a radeon 7970 and its cheap and up to the task, almost as well as those two., Make sure you buy a 3GB memory card at least.

Are you in russia? Maybe you have a firewall blocking dayz, or using a proxy. Its hard for us to know. Is your steam working properly, there was some issues with it.

Did you not read what I wrote and if so, why not? Cloning is a good way to cause heaps of problems that you can never find the solution for. Reinstalling makes sure that these issues do not occur and this is where you should start. If the issue is still there after reinstalling at least you can look at other things.

I love this game. I've never had the kind of experience playing a game like I'v e had in this one before. However, I can pick and choose any game I want. If I was on a budget I would consider other options. Not because this is a bad investment but its important to note that the game is far from finished. Performance is mediocre even with a beast of a computer and some bugs will make you tear out your hair when they happen. The survivalist part of the game isn't that good yet either. The basics of it is there but its way too easy to find what you need so you rarely even need to hunt or forage. I wasn't really a big fan of the "famine" patch of 0.55 but it sure made me see how hard this game could really be. As it is now the game is mostly centrered on PVP. And if that is what one wants there are far better alternatives. When its finished it will no doubt be awesome and the alternatives that exist supporting the type of gameplay that Dayz provides aren't that great. If you want survival ARK is probably the best alternative, along with Rust, which I personally can't stand. H1Z1 is more of a Dayz mod light PVP game than survival and I hear it got an even bigger problem with hackers than Dayz. There are also quite a few single player games that are simply brilliant but still only single player, which is sad. If you don't mind being annoyed quite a lot at things you can't control, while having rare moments of pure excellense, then get Dayz. You need to be aware of what you are byuing though so you won't become one of the whiners.

According to Wobo the V3s can be driven without the glow plug.

Ive seen chickens, deer, a pig and a goat. Theres usually pigs or goats at Nadeshino or Vyshnoe. When an animal gets killed it isn't respawned til the server restarts. The range finder is working, you do need a battery for it though, then just look through it like a bino and press F

Strange that you both are getting kicked at the same time. Are you on the same network? Other than that it sometimes helps to validate the game files in steam. Can you see what the game says the reason is for the kick before it happens?

Well, reinstalling is pretty straightforward, You just insert your windows cd or USB and install to the SSD from it. Note that all your data on the SSD will be lost, so make sure to save save game data, bookmarks and any personal files you have on it beforehand. That might be it. It seldom works perfectly when you clone the OS onto a new drive. You should try reinstalling, its lots of fun :/ Also, make sure you tune your system for the SSD to work optimally, theres usually some settings in Bios and the registry to change and different drives prefer different settings

I had a strange encounter. I met two guys up in Chapaevsk. They ran by my building and didn't see me so i called out for them. I only had a chambered 1911 so I tried to be meek. They asked me if I was swedish and when I said yes, one of the guys tried to shoot me by single firing his mp5 but missing every shot adn the other guy cried NO!. I ran away and the other guy said dont shoot to his friend and tried to apologize. I didnt trust them but ran off and climbed up a building, trying to find them but they were gone.

Dayz as it is now is moslty CPU-driven. This will most likely change when the game gets optimized and then the graphic card might matter more. If you want to do something now you can upgrade your cpu. You can also use the newui as its more graphic card driven. Tha graphic card is supposed to be good though. Most people have this problem, even with high-end computers and expensive graphic cards. Eventually the game will be optimized and the performance will improve but it will most likely be a while. I have a i7-4790k, 32 GB 2133mhz ram and a radeon 7970 3 GB and can get 100 fps in the wild sometimes but am happy if I get 30 frames in cherno. And sometimes the Frames will just get horrible, like 5-10 fps and then normalize. I differs greatly between servers. I heard it has to do with the way the Arma engine behaves.

Maybe I like getting killed. It gives me a chance to play the fun part of the game, gearing up. No matter, everyone to his own I guess. I died today and I didn't like it. Mostly because of the way it happened and the things that happened beforehand. I logged in near Vybor mil base so i went in there to loot some since I only had a pump action shotty and a bunch of guns with no ammo. As I went into the new barracks I noticed players outside the fence so i took a defensive position but they never came. I legged it out of there and got to Vybor. I decided to change my puprle backpack to an improvised one for better camo and ha to lay my shotty down to cut a treebranch. when i went to get it it had vanished. I searched but it was gone. Now I had only a chambered Cr75 so i went to the police station but it was looted of ammo. I even waited for a few minutes for something to respawn but nothing did so i had no other option than to leave for NWA with a chambered Cr75, A carbine with hunting scope and no ammo, a 1911 with no ammo and a longhorn with no ammo. I also had a stun baton with a battery. As I was leaving I checked some houses for ammo but there was nothing but I managed to aggor some zeds and knocked them out with my baton. As I was swinging I heard a shot. It sounded close but was not at me. I looked around and saw two guys nearby. They saw me too and proceeded to shoot. I tried to show them that I was not a threat by running in circles with no gun drawn but this seemed to entice them. I grew bored after a while and ran at them shouting that I wasnt hostile but then they hit me and I died. I respawned and got revenge as I killed a poor defenseless chicken.

Why do you play on empty servers? I used to do do it to pick up some nice stuff but its quite meaningless and uneventful at most times. I have had two instances before where I have been on a server with only one other player and we run inot eachother at the NWA tents. One ended with shooting and one with talking.

Today i killed a guy. He took a potshot at me as i was entering a bulding so i camped til he came in after a minute and blasted him with my shotgun. He only had a chambered makarov but maybe he shouldnt attack people then. And I got me some nice gloves too. Later on the same server two guys murdered a bambi in the road. I snuck up on them with my shotty but they ran away and i didnt dare take the shot as they had autos so I missed my opportunity :( I followed them but the server restarted.

Gorka is a great town to loot if you're new since its close to the coast. Theres six or seven hunting stands around the town, a police station and a cop car and at least ten more possible gun spawns. A lot of people go there though so theres quite a large chance for encounters.

I got shot at NWA by someone shooting into the ground. I went unconcious and watched as the guy looted my corpse and steal my mp5 and 15 round mag. He was bleeding from before so probably needed to bandage badly. After a while I woke up and ran and hid in a tree. The guy had left some gear for me but no melee wpn and no ammo for a gun. As Im sitting there pondering my life choices the guy appears with a friend. They run about for a bit looking for me probably but not finding me. Finally they go for the tents so i go the other way. On my way I find an akm, drum mag, regular mag and sposn backpack so I leave better geared than before, lol!
