The game seems too survivor/bandit heavy, I have afew suggestions
Sleeves replied to LLY's topic in Suggestions
You probably made a thread that got bashed for a stupid idea, which is where this vendetta for anything against these ideas comes from. But yes, OP, the game is player reliant, it is supposed to be that way. The developers said events and other NPCs are not happening. Also the skinning thing sounds like something you thought of off the top of your head to beef up your suggestion. -
I remember before paramedic outfits became all the rage, one guy would dress up in a sweater and jeans to hand out ammo, food, and medical supplies to survivors. It was pretty nifty and I attempted it myself as well. I quit after my first encounter. It was some guy who looked like an African Warlord who shot me as I was giving him stuff.

This is very fucking serious Dazinth, very fucking serious indeed. First person view will reign over this glorious game!

What makes you think he does not have many hours invested in the game? Anyways, it sounds like an amazing idea but in actuality it would be rather boring.
-
<:0 A shame, I figured he would reach such great heights.

A monochrome screen is a good enough indicator. I like the idea of grunts and cries as a fight progresses to indicate the opponents health.
-
Why not fix the issue of people spawning in the building being searched, instead of telling people to deal with it?
-
He made the post yesterday though, Tuesday. It happens to me a lot as well. I will join a few servers then they stop loading for a number of minutes. Unless of course, timezones.
-
Taking vegetarianism to a new level? I have no idea how people get such strong emotional responses from this game.
-
Or just a yawn regardless of your health with logging in? If you are worried about people hearing it, then do not log out in airfield control towers.
-
The personal space bubble the character takes up is a little iffy. Maybe decrease its size so when you move inside a building you are not shoved around?
-
There is no respawn or login noise. It has been debated heavily in the Suggestions forum but I believe it is normally locked after a much heated debate. The only people actually against it are server hoppers and I do not know what developers have said on it.

Tab for inventory also displays your character.
-
He deleted mine to, calm down. If you want tactics I believe Googling "DayZ Stealth Guide" may help.

First person master race! Heil!
-
I remember when someone set up a taxi service. It did not last very long I believe.
-
There are options to knock people out. Batons, fist, low caliber bullet to a helmet, do more shock damage than the person has health... What are you wanting, a forced animation of knocking the person out? They are even adding the ability to club someone with a gun.

Creating a End-Game for DayZ - How to reduce BanditsS
Sleeves replied to gilgamesh333's topic in Suggestions
Gah, bandits, my trigger word. Please use 12 year old CoD kiddie in place of it -
A little thing called suspension of disbelief. At times reality must be put aside for functionality/playability.
-
All the more reason to implement that warning noise for player logins that someone suggested.
-
I agree with knock back on one condition: A shot to the chest (shotgun, close range, vest on for protection, such as that) only causes a stumble. The player is still standing, still able to move at a slightly slower pace for a few seconds, and still able to shoot but accuracy will be hampered.

The attempts at changing the current titling of "people who are (possibly) hostile" is like how political correctness changed the title for "mentally disabled" and "African American". It is a game, people naturally make dispositional attributions (specifically in the heat of the moment), and no one is going to be deeply offended and sue me for calling them a bandit. I do not have to look through a DayZ dictionary to properly define a player based on how the interacted with me. Generally, I label people as either nice guys or pretty good shot guys. Others can come up with any sort of categorizing table they want to make, but please do not try to force a social reform on names for a game.

You are damn right it will be buggy. I shudder at the thought of testing this suggestion should it ever be added.
