I agree with you that it is no fun staring at a "you are unconscious" screen just to find out you were going to die any way but the amount of time you spend being unconscious will never outweigh the time spent walking. I only recall one episode where I was unconscious for a very long time and at that point there was still a glimmer of hope when it came to being revived.

I just realised that if you logged out while you are unconscious, you will simply respawn upon entering a new server and killed. At least I assume it works like being handcuffed. Which, I think, is a fair solution.

Thing is that being rendered unconscious and revived is a part of the gameplay. There are many medical items out there and someone might just wants to blow airbubbles into your bloodstream for kicks and he will need you to be alive and conscious for that. Being unconscious pisses me off to no end but I have never really wanted to respawn because there was usually a chance I would be revived by friends. I am usually killed shortly after being rendered unconscious, though. Maybe you should be able to respawn if you are unconscious and there is no one in like a 250m radius or whatever with a 60 sec cooldown timer. After all, a cool-down timer isn't unusual in any type of game. Probably shouldn't be based on how fast you can bleed to death, though. Could indeed take ages and I agree with this guy: Games shouldn't feel like work, they should be fun. Anything that wastes my time by not making me have fun is not a game but a poorly programmed piece of software.

The game is one gigantic FPS dip for me. Especially since .47 came out.

"Heroes" and "Bandits" and "classes" are stupid concepts that make it sound like the people here are far below the age required to legally buy violent games and/or the forum has been taken over by EA representatives looking to ruin an otherwise very sandboxy/unique game. 2. People who can only be bothered interacting with other people on a friendly basis purely because there's a reward in it for them are showing sociopathic tendencies, please report to your nearest psychologist. NOT knowing whom you're dealing with is part of the FUN. Starting on equal footing with everyone else is FUN. NOT having to grind in any way whatsoever is FUN. You can jump into DayZ and each time your experience will be different, based purely on what you make of it. STOP trying to turn it into one of your autistic grindfests that can readily be defined and has set goals. Thank you.

I seriously doubt the lagfest that is DayZ would allow for this kind of accurate combat. On top of that, you'll just get shot. Melee needs to be quick and easy. An afterthought, preferably. If they want to make it complex, make it like State of Decay.

Well, we've used Teamspeak for years. If Bohemia wanted for people to have added realism they should integrate the client into the game. Give everyone a walkie-talkie, make it take up a permanent inventory slot if you tell the game you've got teamspeak running. Or auto-detect teamspeak for all I care. We don't care that you can hear what we say, we just don't think the built-in VOIP is any good but for short bouts of communication with random players. Anyhow, the whole Teamspeak hatred is kind of 1998. Mebbe step into the future a little? A witty-bitty? Leab teh ponies?

I used to play Lineage where you had dogs and higher-level players would kill your dog and there'd be nothing you could do about it. I WAS TWELVE OKAY. Or fourteen. Or 8. I can't honestly remember, really it's all a bit of a blur. Anywaaaaays: I intend on doing the same to everyone else's dog that I see should a ridiculous feature like this make it into the game. You know, just out of spite and protest. How can you shoot n00bs and dogs? Simple, you just don't lead 'm as much!

Tbh I doubt the zombies will ever be interesting. It's not like you can have cool fights in this engine like you can in State of Decay. They're just annoying things that run straight at you and make it hard for you to deal with other players. The game mechanics being what they: slow and clunky, the zombies will never grab on to you, you'll never be able to roll-evade zombies ... Just hordes of 1990's videogame zombies running after you while you frantically tap the still ultra-laggy vault button.
