Did you know you can cut down trees? Go fishing? The new loot system works in a bit of an odd way now ,you'll find a lot of police stations with just cans of food. It's more dynamic so when good stuff gets taken, it'll take a while for it to return. Server resets do not seem to influence loot tables much. Sometimes loot pops into existence right next to you. Zombies are harder to hit atm and there are crawlers. Other than that, nothing special I believe. Oh, M4 doesn't spawn any more and neither does ammo. Don't spend it all in one place.

That is because they thought you were being all phil-o-shopical. From what I can tell, items aren't damaged by putting them in ruined containers. I tried keeping an eye out on it and I witnessed no degradation over the course of about 30 minutes to an hour. (Ruined pants with some pristine objects tucked away in 'm)

Hell no, the game interface is way too 1990's as it is. Don't scare away more players by going even more retro. In real-life, I could hold an object a million different ways and still have my hands free. It wouldn't be realistic for me to have to put everything down and then slowly pick it up again unless we're playing Retard Simulator 2014. If anything, the whole weapon selection deal needs to be more streamlined because it's just unpleasant this way. -

"It's not letting me hit him" Sigh ... Waste of perfectly good rice. Anyhow, this is how most encounters I have in DayZ end up because unlike what most people promise to do here (after being bullied so often that they decide to just shoot everyone) the people who actually play DayZ are mostly very friendly.

I get plenty attached to my character 'cause it'll be the same one when I respawn minus the gear.

Yeah, the insta-death is annoying. Most of the time you'll probably hallucinate a bit, cough up some blood and piss yourself in certain cases but hey, you'll definitely be able to see something if your brain isn't immediately severed from the rest of the body. Just 'cause you can't move doesn't mean you're not dead. So for all those "realism junkies" out there ... Getting a black screen is not realistic.

I made someone I play with wear a helmet and he got shot in the head not soon after. Actually, it was right outside of the loot spot we found the helmet. He survived. Helmet was trashed. He is forever in my depth. Will name his firstborn after me.

The camera should just keep staring in the direction that your head was pointing when you died. I hate those black screens.

My game flickers all the time since .46. Wasn't there in the previous patches. Doesn't happen while zooming in, though. AMD videocard here. If you think it's an SLI issue, turn off SLI and check again? -

I do not think that would add anything to the game but disappointed players. People might read more into being able to pick a profession than there really is. If you can pick a cop, why doesn't he shoot more straight than the tourist? On the other hand, it would be sort of cool if people could fill in biographies and to prevent that from turning into a spamfest I guess pre-determined entries would be a safe pick. Kinda like Safehouse diaries. It seems sort of ... Besides the point when it comes to DayZ, though. It's not really about who you were, it's about what you do.

They could of course have been joking. I mean, they coulda sort of have shot you already if they wanted to from what I gather. -
Yeah I think the only words they hear at that point is "kill ... Friendly " when you startle 'm like that! Judging from some of those Youtube videos, a lot of people just starting screaming really, really hard when something bad happens so I can imagine they'd think killing everything is a valid option at that point. I think they are planning on introducing things like that. Long, long-term plans, though.
