Haha! We use sawed-off shotguns as sidearms. They can be hidden in the backpack, are quicker to equip than regular rifles and there s a good chance you ll break someone s legs with m. Yeah, I know that's not the definition of a sidearm.

So it's basically you running in circles in DayZ while telling people how to build a camp fire. As informative as the audio is, the movie isn't very interesting. Judging from the videos I've so far seen linked, people like torture better. Hint.

Haven't had a problem myself but one of my teammates mysteriously broke his legs on the upper floor of a building but it also led us to the discovery of a never-ending supply of sticks. Eureka! Wouldn't really call it game-breaking at this point. -

Some people only want what is best for themselves And some want to abuse you! And some want to get used by you! I sometimes wonder how many people I robbed of their faith in humanity in DayZ ... Run away = Live to survive another day (wow that actually rhymed D:) Well, you know, some would say it is better to die facing the enemy but if you want to get shot in the back, all the same to me!

Yeah, precisely. Being subject to other people s whims is part of the DayZ experience. It's one of the reasons why I play DayZ. Guess some of the people in this thread would not have been amused praying to the holy fire extuinguisher at gunpoint ... Or the holy rock. Or the holy potato. Still mad about their shoes being thrown into the ocean, no doubt.

The objective of the game is pretty much what you make of it. What exactly is it that you're arguing for, any way? 'Cause like the guy below you says: people are going to shoot each other any old way. -
I suppose that when you play alone, meeting others is less awkward. I only play with my teammates so it's usually a whole bunch of people surrounding one person who can't wait to get out of there or there's another group which just makes the situation tense. Most of the time both parties just want to depart quickly. Don't you get robbed a lot being alone? The few times I've been on my own, I was held at gunpoint more often than not.

I always seem to come up two slots short in the medic bag. A medic bag for only medical items with 8 slots would be great. Could introduce two kinds.

Chat for a while? About what? When I run into other people in DayZ the last thing I consider 'm is chat-worthy material.

Standalone is the paid, early access Steam-version. DayZ Mod requires ARMA2 which is also paid. DayZ Mod is probably more complete at this point, you'll probably want to try that first.

You need to work on the formatting of the text, it's pretty hard to read right now. The justifying makes it look like the intro to Star Wars ... There is some useful stuff in there but it's delivered in such huge chunks ... It'd be better if you wrote a guide per subject and linked to your other guides from within the text. On the other hand, we already have something like that I hardly, if ever, read forum guides. I prefer bite-sized Wiki pages 'cause I want to spend very little time reading and a lot of time gaming. Agree with the Death Dealer guy. Just call 'm new players.

What I'm trying to say is that safe zones are stupid 'cause they're all about forcing these little rules on people that are only to the benefit of those wanting to use said rules. Although if the game were to force 'm on me, I wouldn't mind it as much as when admins/cheaters do. Anyhow; the fewer the laws, the happier the people.
