I used to write little bandit stories here in the day... Long long time ago. What a strange long trip it has been. After spending some time getting used to the game again. I found myself alone, no Squad anymore, no Clan, just me and a double barrel rifle with a stun baton. Fully charged battery and to make sure, a good lick to seem like I wanted to eat it was enough to let me know it had a pretty good charge. Starting in Elektro, I headed NorthWest, following the mountain and roaming with a Campass. So many new places I have never been. New Military bases had been setup, however they all fell just as quickly as those before them. Roaming with the undead and scavengers seeking treasures in the clutches of death. Maybe it was simply my turn to find something good this time? Somehow...I had found myself by the Military base close to Vybor. Looking for Downed Helicopters had proved to be fruitless... A Blue Baklava certainly did not blend in with anything and my quilted green jacket was ruined from the rain. The Military base provided a very suitable backpack...with Police Station offering more goods of ammo for my Double Barrel Rifle...I eagerly found myself chamber rounds to make sure at least had a few shots to scare off a would be bandit. Considering I just came back to DayZ... I doubt anyone who has spent weeks, or maybe even a month collecting some gear would want me to shoot them. I always find looting the barracks nerve racking... Relieved doors now made sounds I made sure to close every single one behind me and carefully looted each room. Keeping an angle with the window so firing in would not prove fatal and give me a chance to escape. ... A plate holder seems like a very interesting item... A vest would help save my life if I need to. Turning around after trying on the new vest I step outside the far end of the barracks, furthest from the door. Its open... My heart quickly jumps into my throat... I feel myself go prone, dropping down in the hallway, double barrel rifle pointing towards the door. A moment of silence I consider moving... Maybe hes in a room next to me? No... I would have heard him. I quickly push my doubt aside and wait... My patience pays off as someone pokes their head around the corner. I instantly unload two rounds into the guys neck. His head fades back behind the door... I find myself quickly breathing hard again, wondering if I had killed him. A moment of silence passes I get up and deciding to run out, stun baton in hand to see what is going on... I see nothing...Infact... I damn near trip over the corpse of the guy I killed... and man was he loaded... AK, Green Baklava... green vest, pants, everything... I am glad to see much of the games core remains intact... Fights are still life or death...and now decently geared on DayZ... I hope to get some more great kills...and be killed in the most brutal of ways.

I run with smokes sometimes too-- In main or M203. I like it personally. I am not sure if its intended or not, but from where you launch the M203 smoke to where it lands, it drags all the zombies from around you, to where it lands plus the distance traveled. I also have never hit a player with a M203 smoke- I wonder if the direct impact does damage. I also use smokes to bring down buildings without the explosions of grenades. 2-3 smokes will level a building with the current glitch with smoke grenades.

Bison is terrible... It does as much damage as a pistol does- Its ammo is extremely rare. Its not worth carrying around. It also lacks a scope, range is a meek 100m, and at night it has a BRIGHT muzzle flash that is not hard to miss in a firefight. Making you stick out like a sore thumb, even if it is silenced.

You can't even restart the server if a hacking takes place and you lose your vehicles. This was recently added to server rules somewhere. Your reasons for restarting the server is very, very small. 11. As a server admin you must not: You are not permitted to ban players for killing yourself or clan members. You are not permitted to shutdown your server when your killed. You are not permitted to shutdown your server when you lose a vehicle. You are not permitted to kick or ban for smacktalk. You are not permitted to ban for suspected cheats or exploits of a non-server-disruptive nature, including but not limited to ghosting, unverified cheating, duping and similar, UNLESS you have solid evidence, IE logs.

I think a big part of this has to do with the respawn button removal and when you are offline it still counts your time. Less Respawns = Longer Life expectancy. Counter while Offline = Higher Averages.

I think if you could remove the tips of the HE (which most of the weight comes from the casing and powder to launch the grenade) it might be very possible. Rocket seems to be really considering crafting, I hopes he adds a dismantling feature also to make ANYTHING worth picking up to use it. Like tin cans be ripped down to scrap metal. Rocket needs to add a flare gun, which can use Road Flares and M203's. I am finding these in residential buildings all the time now. Not sure if this is intended or not.

Never noticed- you can't really hide any information about yourself on DayZ... Their Private Policy is also very generic and cookie cutter... Now that I think about it, it has me concerned.

Can we have an update on what DayZ Staff is doing to the website? The HIVE has been going nuts for the last couple of days. There are a few changes I am noticing going around, that are not limited too: Signatures seem to have all their limitations lifted. (Lolwat? I don't think this is intentional...) Beans now have a Cap and Limit per day. Bottom of the Pageview to see what members/guests are viewing the threads have been disabled. What are the other changes we are to be expecting? It would be nice to have some kind of communicate/update. Also requesting/suggesting a 'Website' section under 'Support'. Any questions or comments about the Website itself seem to fall into a black hole.

Rocket said you can't be banned for using hacked equipment, only finding it. It is frowned upon to use hacked equipment, but not bannable.
