This. Amputation is one of the worst suggestions I've ever heard. The loss of function would be so bad that it would make precisely zero sense to keep going. -

I think they may have deleted the Blackhawk model (the old...black one) since 0.51. The only smoking sites I find are UH-1Ys. Sorry, helicopter nerd... :) -

Look out for a lootgasm at a fire station (so you'll need to be on a persistent server). They're sometimes hard to spot, but if you're lucky (as I was a few weeks ago) you can walk away with five or six of them. -
No offence, but why "should" they? They take 5.56 CMAG/M4 mags, not AK/7.62 or 101/5.56 mags, so prob only spawn at crash sites. Happy to be proved wrong though....

Updating. All 3rd person, regular. Have: M4A1 (W), with plastic guard (P), MP stock (black, P), M68 optics (P), 40rnd mag (P) This is as nice an M4 as I've ever offered for trade. The gun, parts and mag all came from the same crash site this evening. Also have: ACOG (P) Blackskull (P) PSO-1 (P) Combat Knife (P) BUIS (P) CR527 5rnd mag with rounds (P, full) FNX 15rnd mag (P, full) Rangefinder (P) Seeking: Netting, or complete ghillie sets. Smersh vest for the M4. Happy to discuss combinations. Get in touch before I either lose the M4 to a server crash/restart/"alpha incident" or decide to dump other bits from inventory. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions. However, I'm quite an experienced crash hunter and know the best vantage points, etc. The changes in technique are really around very long runs on consecutive persistence-off servers, which isn't exactly rocket-science. Also, do Steyrs take M4 mags, or do they use their own?

Make sure your centre dot thing is pointing at the water, with the canteen in hand, hit F key and the first scroll option should be 'fill bottle'.. I find it easy to edge too close and get soaked as a result, even though I don't actually look like I'm near enough for that. Other than that, this mechanic still seems to work pretty well for me. It does, however, seem to be an increasing problem in game that the way things look is not the way they actually are. If you refill five times (20dcl per time) and then walk away or put the canteen back in your inventory, is it filled then?

George - No. Already had things like blackskull, rangefinder and CR527 mag (these mags used to be v rare). But I've found five sites in total in 0.51 - two Mi-8s (in one of which I found the PSO) and three UH-1s (ACOG, BUIS, knife, assorted M4 mags and MP133 shotgun), two of which I found over the weekend. These are in addition to my own ACOG and knife, as well as the BUIS that you very generously gave me. I'm developing some new heli-hunting techniques, which are even more onerous than in 0.49, but which do at least seem to be generating results. They sure wear my boots out fast though.. :|

Once upon a time (in the mod?), there was a weird, and quite frightening kind of 'superzombie' - more like an alien than a zombie in fact, with different sounds and about 50% bigger. I could swear it was one of these things that chased me around at GM for about half an hour a month or two ago, before I finally lost in in the woods near Myshkino. I might have eaten some chicken that was past its sell-by date though.

Sure they can. The most credible explanation is the sync issue between client and server, hence Irish's suggestion of vaulting. Which works IME, even though I still only go upstairs when absolutely necessary... OP doesn't seem to be hating or raging to me. Just wondering what's going on, which is fair enough.

I've insta-died on the second floor of red roof barns in 0.47 and 0.48. No more second floors for me. Not new to 0.51 anyway.

Um, how well does this work camo-wise when, beyond a certain distance, grass doesn't render, so you just look like a strangely shaped bush?
