Nothing says "Bring your parade through our glorious town, comrade" like a shit hole two meters from traffic. Or perhaps, you haven't noticed the loot bombs in experimental with the heart on the door. Balanced Central Economy across the map or something? Need more OP outhouses on the coast now, more than ever.

Yea but Eugen Harton has consistently taken the stance of not being on the design team. It's cute that he says "it's not a pvp game, but a survival game". But really, it's a pvp game. There is no single player content, in the history of mmo gaming, that is actually challenging. This is DayZ This is my story. In my story, you don't make it. sorry about that.

DayZ is a game with an open sandbox, people, and ways to kill other people. The survival aspect is merely there to enhance your experience. There's no doubt at all that the most dangerous element to this game is other people. Survival and pve will quickly become easy, once you know what to do. Oh yea. Please leave in wandering infected.

I don't really see any teamwork mechanics. A gamer can survive on his own. It doesn't take multiple people to 'not die'. The game seems to ask; "Do you want social interaction or not?" and not "Are you using teamwork?"

What was the reference? I didn't catch it. Any changes that move pvp to the middle of the map, and off of the coast, will be interesting, to say the least! New sound update, more scopes, and tents moving back to Stary Sobor is big news! I can't wait!

Basically, what Boneboys said. This poll has no value. I trust and want the developers to make the right decisions when it's time to make them. To wipe, reset, and alter loot/mechanics for a good reason when they want to. Seems totally subjective. I'll often challenge myself by seeing how many times I can die in one afternoon. The thrill is still there. I posit that a person will enjoy DayZ more if they become unattached to their gear entirely. Becoming attached to your gear isn't necessary to fully enjoy the game. That said, it wouldn't bother me at all if they wiped everything on Wednesdays. Knowledge and experience are the most valuable things to loot in this game. Leaps and bounds moreso than gear.

I predict that with these new scopes, I will die 56% more often. These scopes are a much needed buff to killing on sight tactics.

That's the thing. OP made a thread/big announcement saying that he's going to stop playing until the final product is done. So the post is just some whining about alpha from some guy who played the mod. I'm guessing these aren't even his final thoughts. My bet is on the fact that he'll post again. -

If, for some reason, you thought Dayz SA was supposed to be 'DayZ mod part 2' then you are fooling yourself. You DO know that this product will have mods for it, right? -
So, you want infected to stun lock you straight off? I hope they don't try to balance zeds based off of literature.

The only thing spawning at heli crashes are server hoppers, atm. At least, in my experience.

Be aware that re-joining a server immediately after restart will sometimes wipe your toon. Best advice is to wait a few minutes. It's a known bug. Welcome to the hard lessons of alpha. -
You've started another thread stating that you don't have a microphone, (or can't use one) so your options are greatly reduced. Here's the right way to play: Go loot stuff. Interact with players. Interact with game elements. File bug reports.

Can't use a mic? Mute, lone-wolf, KOS bandit is the style of play for you! Don't even try to talk to people, you may as well just be a douche if you aren't going to be able to communicate properly.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if people could earn invites to Survivor Gamez through bug testing. Imagine if the devs had a system to rate bugtester submissions. General population alpha testers like you and me could put in the hours, take the time to fill out bug reports in an effort to earn dev rating, and thus a possible gamez invite. Bug testers would be the best participants! They know the game inside and out. Probably many hurdles to jump. The people playing dayz sa right now are such a huge resource. Just seems like a good way to focus all of that gamer energy into finding bugs while promoting the game at the same time.

You need to use a microphone. You will find yourself getting shot a lot less if you utilize a microphone. Strangers are much more likely to just shoot you if you don't communicate by voice right away. It's just how it is. Perhaps you should browse the Recruitment or Server forums here to find other like minded players. Good luck. -
Heh. I live close to the armory in Cottage Grove. Before it was an armory, it was a school for young children. There's no rule stating that military bases must spawn gear. Or specifically, end game weapons. Additionally, you have to assume that loot spawn will be balanced at the time of release whether there are six bases or one hundred.

There IS a search function. You're probably better off doing the work yourself and looking for the answers you seek instead of using this thread to ask questions about stuff that has been talked about, at length, for some time. Maybe check out the changelogs? It's not hard.

"Survivor Gamez" is really, quite misleading. They should rename it "Survivor (it's not a game, it's a dev buildz)". I think these gamez events are a good idea. Good promotion. I hope they approach the idea in the future, but with some alterations. -

Please explain in detail why clueless streamers with large fan bases are needed to support an alpha product. (they're not needed) I stopped watching the survivor games because of how mishandled it was. You want players who know what they're doing. Not below average gamers. In the same vein, I don't want to see famous musicians in a NASCAR race because they have no skill. Who cares if they're famous. I want to watch people at the top of their game compete. Not noobs who ruin the experience. Real gamers, the real Dayz fanatics, want to watch people play who know at least as much as they do. Watching a streamer make dumb decisions because it's obvious he has little experience/knowledge of the game is painful. It's why I turned it off. Yea. And after watching him in the games, it probably cut the viewer base by two-thirds. This isn't really a bash on Lirik (honestly never heard of him before this debacle) moreso.. a plea to get players who the audience can possibly enjoy watching and learn something from. Get players who naturally promote the game. Not disinterested and unexperienced 'celebrities'. -

The interesting thing about this update is that we have the same new zombies, and the old loot system. So, it's still a fresh environment. Many forum posters have complained about the difficulty in finding loot, and others, OP infected. When really, the combination of both made the game harder. So now, with the legacy system, it's just the zeds. Should be interesting.
