It's not a bug.

Honestly, you're better off mastering the keyboard. You'll have better control over your character. More buttons > less buttons.
-
The background ambient noise of the coast is still present. Not sure why you don't hear it.
-
Typically, when a new forum poster starts a thread and says something like "this game hasn't progressed at all" it is met with severe criticism. Mostly because said new forum poster has absolutely no experience with early access development. In your case, you declare that the game hasn't progressed at all, then go on to ask questions regarding persistence. This shows every reader that you're pretty uninformed. It's pretty unreasonable to expect no issues during alpha-dayz. Right? Also, the title of this thread is pretty trollish. Same with grouping H1Z1 and Dayz in these forums.
-
I'm not sure what you mean by "weird loot patterns" but it's true that police stations are not the treasure trove they once used to be. Tents are a great place to find endgame gear. Helicopter crashsites is what you want to be farming for the best stuff. That's your best bet, imo. Good luck.
-
Clearly you have tons of experience with early-access game development. If you actually played the game for any substantial amount of time you'd realize that the loot is fine as-is for an alpha product still in development. All of the players that I've ran with, who actually enjoy the game, have experienced a balanced loot economy and are able to start on the coast, progress to the northwest and be geared out with little effort. Perhaps if you spent more than 30 minutes playing the game and quit lamenting over your experience for a while you'd see that it's not that hard. Additionally, no one that actually matters will ever take you seriously if you express in all-caps how 'shameful' they should be. Go ahead and riot. I need a good laugh.

try asking here

Quite honestly, loot respawning is not bugged. Loot respawns just fine. You're doing it wrong.
-
Oh? Where do you get your metrics? How do you know that this community is losing players quick? Where do you get your data? Can you provide actual numbers? I've put many hours into .60 and haven't experienced any problem with the loot economy. Same with many of the other veteran forum posters here. I would suggest that you stop being bad at the game. Seriously, you're not doing it right. And what's with the title of your thread? It's got "I'm a troll and I want some attention." written all over it.

It's the middle of the hot summer in Chernarus. If you sprinted 4 kms with full military gear, hat, gloves, mask, and whatever, you'd be hot too.
-
Uhh, try changing your ping to zero. Perhaps restart Steam.
-
This just isn't practical at all. The developers have been totally transparent with the on-goings of early access DayZ, including why this isn't feasible. Where exactly are you getting all this data from? You list the reasons behind your complaints but they're just a bunch of made up generalizations with no actual numbers, examples, or comparisons. Seems like you're just impatient.

A Few Thoughts On.. (Loot Economy, Protecting the Vanilla Experience, etc..)

This is great news regarding servers. I posit that the success of DayZ will largely hang on the server select screen and main menu. I've said in previous threads that a player's options should be laid out in a format that's easy to navigate while displaying all of the possibilities available. This seems like a great move. Thanks for update, Hicks! -
Played .60 now I have many questions

https://twitter.com/dayzdevteam is the source for official development news. Stop asking on the forums. Be patient.

Emotions! Make the game like in your TRAILER and like you told all the time.

The only real threat is other players. In the past, present, and future. Across all MMOs. NPCs will always be predictable. The infected were only ever meant to enhance the environment. This is widely accepted fact. Zombies will never deter KOS. Good luck out there -
Is it worth buying Dayz standalone yet? [With Developer responses]

Interesting. I've never heard anyone on these forums state that they're going to stop playing X years from now. Let's just hope your time table matches typical video game development. (usually longer than expected) -
So, you suggest gas masks made out of burlap? Interesting.
-
Yeah, I don't think it's a true reflection. Probably a different image entirely.

Yes. That seems best for you. -

You cannot play dayz standalone offline right now. If you can play online, you should be playing standalone. It's the future. Signed, fanboi. -
Ahh yes. That was during an experimental build. .57 or.58,iirc. I remember experiencing that. It was more like 3 mins. I suppose it could be separate from daytime. Forget about the whole watch timer idea mentioned above though, I suppose.
-
Some great brainstorming here. How would your proposed system negotiate accelerated time modifiers?
-
Thanks! In my opinion, one of the greatest things DayZ could accomplish is to actually separate itself from Chernarus. I know, it sounds wacky, just hang on. BI, with DayZ, has built a box, filled it with sand, and is now building all the tools so that players can design their own castles. Akin to what DemonGroover said above, there will be more maps. From modders! You make a really cool looking sandbox and kids from all over the neighborhood will come to play in it. DayZ stays fresh, everybody wins.

Estimated TTP is about 4.5 minutes. Not allowing custom images in the game is far, far easier than dealing with the possible ramifications of trolls and griefers letting them do it, I imagine. A shame, but for real.
