I would be willing to bet that problem solving would NOT be harder on vanilla servers than servers that have been modified by the consumer. One way or another, the developers are going to have to do additional work to figure out why the above pic ended up as so. More than necessary than if it was on an official server. Even asking simple questions like "I see you're running with modifications, what other mods are you running?" takes additional time. Time that could be better spent than solving a special case scenario.

Wait, you're playing on a modded server, right? Cuz camo guns are not in the vanilla experience yet. Complaints originating from modded servers aren't taken as seriously by the developers. Modded servers add variables that they can't control that may be contributing to the issue you're facing.

I pretty much agree with what you're saying, and I think I understand you properly, but there's a slight difference between 20k and what I paid for DayZ. I mean, 35 bucks falls out of my belly button every time i wake up from a nap. 20k, not so much. I'm much more willing to spend up to 60 euros willy-nilly than 20k. Maybe if the cost of DayZ is so critical, then one shouldn't be spending it on video games to begin with?? I agree, there's got to be multiple forces at work here. It's not all just the devs. The devs probably understand that complaints will be made if a product is released unfinished whereas the executives probably gave away all of their fucks and thus, have no more fucks to give. Ergo, they don't give a fuck about the noise they never bother to hear. Which, unfortunately, is the way of things. I *HAVE* noticed that I have to relog if I want a clear representation of the current weather effects. Others have stated on the forums recently that weather effects are wonky on vanilla servers and I concur. Be it fog, or sunlight, or rain, I feel like I'm at a disadvantage if I don't relog to the same server often enough, which feels dirty.

I have two questions.

It's not a bad prediction to expect a polished release for xbox after the current experimental goes to stable. The original plan, iirc, is that 1.0 was planned for January, for Xbox. There's no doubt that the development team wants a good product pushed out, and for customers to be happy, with this next build. It looks like a constant fight against bugs, impatient community, and pushy executives not in the trenches of actual development at all times. The CR527 with Hunter Scope is a huge leap forward in gameplay. The SKS is a fantastic weapon, for sure. Patient fans should be in for a treat. Just remember to ignore the impatient 'too little, too late' newcomers. The product isn't fully complete, but don't forget that there's dedicated employees at BI, working hard at it, and not just passing around tweets of their golden lambos. Personally, I hope the nerf to damage/boost to health plays out well with the re-implementation of the Hunter Scope.

Haha. Yea, beans are generally given when someone likes something you say. It's pretty irrelevant, honestly. It also has no bearing on the title you acquire. At 500 posts you get the title of Bean King, which you can then edit, if you wish. Also, try using the Sledge Hammer on certain rocks. This works on the PC version.

A potential new player comes to the forums. Said player asks if the community is toxic and if the servers are dead. Player with 2000+ hours (rofl) replies that the community is toxic and that PVP is a clusterfuck even though he never plays on servers with other people. Mostly because he doesn't have the hardware and has proclaimed that he's extremely antisocial. Then conjectures that the devs just take consumer money to buy dope and lambos. So, potential new player states that he doesn't want to see his money spent on (lambos) and decides to move on. Maybe the best advice to potential customers is to seek out multiple sources of actual gameplay and decide for yourself. Watch some actual footage. Read up on the technology for yourself. Go to various websites, reddit, and youtube. Don't pose a question on forums, because you're likely to just hear from squeaky wheels.

Yes, I realize that. Let me preface my previous statement with: "First, throw your xbox in the river, then..." (not really, but kinda maybe)

Checked out the new stream from Kozlovka to Balota today. Definitely an upgrade! Instead of just having standing water, there's now a continuous water flow from Kozlovka to Balota with nice sound effects as well. It looked like something I would actually drink from in real life, instead of just being a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Accompanied by rocks, a small bridge, and pleasant ambient sounds, it looked nice.

Yes, what ImpulZ says. Verify files and delete the DayZ folder in your Documents folder. I had issues coming back to stable from experimental and this information fixed it.

Get it all out. We all have to go through this stage, I guess. No amount of question asking and swearing is going to help get the product to a finished state, however. Maybe you should take a break from the game. Come back in two months and have a peek.

Hard to believe considering your forum presence and that you play an MMO where PVE is very insignificant.
-
Buy two PCs. Get two steam accounts. Buy two copies of DayZ. Get multiple characters legitimately. Prosper.

Welcome to the wonderful world of MMOs, I guess.

THEGordanFreeman has elaborated several times in the past already. Perhaps if the majority of posts in the experimental and stable threads are going to be from you then maybe you should do a bit of research to accompany your 'science'. Additionally, *a lot* of the feedback that you've been posting is already known information that's already been discussed. Months ago. Moreover, much of the information that you've given isn't relatable. Especially the performance issue feedback. Very few people play DayZ on their own 3-person server running from an old potato laptop sitting next to them. This relates to what THEGordanFreeman already explained elsewhere. The short answer is that while restores will help *somebody*, they will invariably screw over somebody else. Well, except for the <1% who don't play with other people, ever.

Well, I'm no expert, that's for sure. I've yet to see anything spawn with a spark plug. Fresh vehicles do not spawn in with oil or water. An ADA will hold 6kg of water and 4 jugs of oil. It's not necessary to top them off, however. If you remove the radiator then you will have to fill it again once you re-install it. I don't know if any of this has changed with the latest experimental. Depends. It's a lot easier for the server to 'handle' 10 cars, stationary, all over the map than it is to race them all around Vybor going 70km/h. (I reckon)

???? You need to do more than consume one saline bag to stay hydrated. How is this not obvious to someone who isn't a new player? In fact, don't rely on saline bags to stay hydrated. You need to drink water, eat food, drink soda. This is pretty obvious. If you run for several kilometers in real life wouldn't you expect to get thirsty?

Well, traditionally "AI" literally refers to how the artificial intelligence and decision making executed by the generated entity plays out. The standard definition is/should be totally separate from the effects of bugs, player reaction and balancing of the combat system. With the traditional definition of AI combined with the reality of how the game actually plays out, it's impossible (IMO) to really evaluate and make suggestions regarding the behavioral scripting assigned to these infecteds. So with that, how can you tell that it would need fixing, seeing as how it's pretty difficult to tell if it's really broken. The system as a whole needs attention. Saying the AI needs adjustment is pointing fingers at only one facet. Aside, I don't find the infected to be difficult at all, as-is. Additionally, I've always felt that PVE has been, and currently is, just another trivial part of the true DayZ experience. Le zombies are just part of the environment, IMO. Further, if you're experiencing the title without the possibility of unknown players then you're missing out and not playing as the developers intend. (they DID stop supporting offline mode, afterall)

There are a number of things that ordinary, mortal humans are not capable of comprehending. Great examples include; quantum physics behind the singularity within a super-massive black hole, the colonel's secret recipe, layered levels of various string theory, and the reasoning behind balancing infected while melee combat is still bugged with full stamina. It's a mind-blowing phenomenon, to be sure. With stamina available, your projected toon will go full-on, psycho-killer, no pulled punches madman, stun-lock mode automatically. Why balancing is being done while this is still 'a thing' is not something anyone, even god herself, will ever be able to answer. The question of tweaking infected AI seems rather pointless when dwarfed by the obvious ongoing issue of melee combat being totally borked. Or, even somewhat borked, fixed, and then borked again. I know that all I can do is pray to the gods of the undead that someday zeds will be able to lift a firearm and pull the trigger. Disregard fully the ability to actually aim it.

Didn't you admit, even very long ago, that you play the game on a potato? Just wondering, because *many* of your posts recently have been about system performance.

How I Became The Best Player In DayZ
Parazight replied to Survivor1431's topic in General Discussion
haha. I would immediately cross-check the IP of Lize965 and Survivor1431 if I were a mod here. I mean, seriously. -
They're working on a fix for the duping, for sure. Server hopping is a different issue entirely. There's been countless threads on the subject throughout the last 5 years. Do a search. It's not as simple as 'just lock characters'.

Just make timeless videos. Eventually they will be seen by people who like the game. Have faith and don't look at the numbers.

I remember when your videos used to be entertaining.
