Looks like we might be able to write on tourist maps.

No way. It's not hard to find assault rifles on Official servers. Top tier weapons, that are buried, don't count against respawn values. Find a chopper crash or plan looting accordingly. It is definitely not hard to get an assault rifle, especially when I group up with friends. M16A2 and AK47u both spawn all over. Easy to find. It will be literally hours before I get an AR after respawn. Hoarders are non issues. Raid their base or just farm loot. 'CLE' is archaic terminology. Referring to it doesn't help make points. The CE controls more than just loot.

Who cares. As Gews said, the balancing is in the spawn system. UMP45 and MP5K are basically the same firearm. It's a small damage difference and it's really not that important. Your tactics, nearby infected, ammo rarity, location, goals/targets, and what handgun you're using are more important factors in DayZ. More important than the small damage difference between those two submachine guns. I would never choose the mp5k or the ump45 over a real assault rifle anyway. A player will pick up either one if they have nothing. How long will it be before you find a real assault rifle anyway? It doesn't seem practical (or possible, really) to analyze and compare the two in a vacuum. If you're going up against players then you don't want to be debating which submachine gun you're going to use. You get what you can take and then work towards and optimal load-out (assault rifle), right?

Diseases are very manageable. You might be doing something wrong. Official servers are up and running. Server lists working fine here.

Pass. There is no ownership. Lore-wise, that would imply a society with enforced laws. There has to be offline raiding. If you don't like it then pick a different (private) server to play on. Don't put so much value into your loot. It's easily replaceable. As someone who has lost everything due to offline raiding many times, I can comfortably say that removing offline raiding is a huge mistake. We don't want severely congested PVE servers for DayZ. Would be nice. It's not hard to see why someone would want to curb offline raiding. The options we have are far from ideal. The standard wall, on flat ground, with full metal and barb wire is no obstacle. Drive your M3S up to it and just jump over. Or bring a canopy tent and a car. Set the tent up next to the wall, then drive car up to the canopy tent. Jump on the car, then the tent, then over the wall. Or how about this one: JUST BRING ONE SLEDGEHAMMER. You can destroy an infinite amount of walls right now because a ruined sledgehammer is still usable. It takes one ruined sledgehammer and 40 minutes to get through any wall without wire. Work your crafting all the way to the right! It will only take you an hour to crack 4-combo locks!!! It's not unreasonable to suggest changes because issues DO exist. Some solutions are not productive, however.

This would be great. Although, I bet it would be used to grief specific people.
-
Is it really an issue? Maybe the solution is to drive slower. I would never drive that fast, in real life, with my car.
-
I like your third test where the vehicle does a gold-medal barrel roll and lands perfectly. Maybe they should put a sign on the road. >.>
-
At 24 seconds, the car hits a dip in the road while going 102 km/h. I don't see the desync. Working as intended.

No. A cut will stop bleeding on its own. Doesn't understand how ambient spawns work. Hours? This is simply not true. This is false. There are many loot spawns, including food spawns, near every single new spawn node. Survival is nowhere near as hard as you say. The last thing we need is a bunch of nerfs to PVE. Get some more practice with the latest update and you'll be fine.

You should get a friend and play some DayZ on Xbox. Record it, then sue Microsoft for not telling you that there's streamers on the server. Streamers are just people, like everyone else. They shouldn't be entitled, but sometimes they are. It's hard to argue with that. Streamers have a lot of influence because they attract viewers, which equals money for big business. Even if we go with your idea of global, electronic policing, who/how would it be enforced? Can you imagine the regulation and amount of money it would take to uphold laws and prosecute offenders on a global scale? Right now, the USA is asking China not to hack them.
-
Just out of curiosity, how do you enforce this? What if I'm about to log off, because I have to go to work, but someone starts shooting at me? Should I quit my job, or real life responsibilities, so I don't get banned? Who starts the 10 minute countdown? How close do you have to be to the combat? Do you have to actually get hit to be considered in-combat?

I imagine that only the people who assembled the engine could really appreciate these design decisions. It's some pretty esoteric information that probably can't be easily explained to plebs like me. Not that I should have to know why, anyway. Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral. I want that ship, not excuses...

Yea, Battlemetrics is great. I've been using it for a long time. The critical issues being hackers, server-side cars and lack of administration on official servers. Those are the hard problems. This recent change is easy to do and addresses streamer complaints, just like you said.

I bet you could double your time in game if you played it instead of posting questions. You claimed that people have to go online to find answers. Really, they don’t. That’s all I’m saying. Your questions do not bother me. Good luck. -
Because stream sniping is the squeaky wheel. There's already a cascade of critical issues regarding security and how it was implemented. Removing the ability to query the player list through steam stops loud streamers who will actively, and noticeably, complain. BI doesn't have active administrators on their servers, so cheaters will always exist. This move is the most reasonable band-aid available.

20 deaths because of wound infection? Are you serious? That has got to be a record.

Couldn’t be more true! How could the game, especially the stamina system, not be balanced as-is, without considering vehicles?!? Whether they belong or not, the ‘difficulty’ assumes they exist! Huge component with major flaws!

Most new players have had nowhere near as many questions as you. The learning curve isn’t that bad. Why are you having so much difficulty?? -
Oh yea. You're right. I mistook the interface. Totally relevant. Carry on. :) And what DDF just said. Social interaction in a sandbox. There doesn't have to be relation.
-
It was a known thing during this earlier patch that if you park cars too close to each other they will flip out. This isn't really a problem anymore. Could you please limit your car examples to the latest patch, please? Probably much more convincing.
-
It doesn't need explanation. If they purchased copies of DayZ legitimately, and are not bothering anyone, then what's the issue? You've asked before, "what's the point?" but there doesn't have to be a point. You may see no point in roleplaying activities and deem it worthless, but if someone is having fun during their downtime, then it's not wasted time. There doesn't need to be someone to define what DayZ should be.
-
Couldn't you just game the system with multiple accounts anyway? How important is it to see a kill count?
-
Do you ever enjoy the journey of discovery? Do you ever feel like your accomplishments are diminished because you just looked up all the answers? Have you considered a job in the census bureau?

Experimental Update 1.13 (Changelog)
Parazight replied to lynn.zaw's topic in PC Experimental Updates
Oh. I see. Water containers can not be contagious. Like what DefectiveWater alluded to. You don't actually disinfect the container. You disinfect the liquid. Which is why I always dump out new containers. When they are empty, they become clean. Additionally, you can fill up containers with gasoline, empty them, then fill again with water. All without getting sick.
