This probably doesn't help much but, keep spamming the forums or their twitter feed. Bohemia simply does not hold BattleEye accountable. Their PR is garbage. Their official forums are littered with week-old Pr0n ads. Moderators don't visit this site anymore. BI will tell you to talk to BattleEye, but they don't respond. They're not going to respond here because holding BE accountable requires effort. Nice little blame-circle they have set up, I guess. It's mind-boggling. You switched houses, computers, and steam accounts, repurchased the game and stream (so people would be able to tell you're cheating). Still nothing. That's a shame. I hope you figure it out, good luck.

I dunno, I saw the alpha disclaimer that we would have to suffer through bad design decision. That's fine and all but the bad design decision never got fixed. Instead of optimizing the code, they decided to implement security measures during the engine assembly. Sure, everyone knows that to fix DayZ the engine would have to be reassembled. Whatever. I assumed that when I hit "I accept" that those things would be taken care of. Instead, they DIDN'T fix it and I can't play with optimized code on my home LAN. Really, we shouldn't have to know all this technical information and be expected to obtain above average hardware just to have a reasonable gameplay experience. When my kid asks me "how come I can't play the game when I press the button?" I have to respond with "sorry, they said there would be problems, but they never fixed them, deal with it". Then we got TenCent. A 580 billion dollar chinese company invested in BI. Still, so many problems. Seems odd that there's nothing that can be done, other than make bad decisions.

A garbage server to that guy is anything under 3000 dollars. His post history can verify this. Azazel isn't willing to compromise, he'll tell you to spend lots of money on servers instead of accepting the fact that the game should be able to run on reasonably priced servers. Which would make sense because the average player uses average hardware. It's unreasonable to have to spend thousands of dollars to make the game run, you'd think.

What are you offering in terms of compensation? What is the base salary and how much 401k do you match?
-
Pretty good thread. You've addressed a critical balancing issue. Inertia and mechanics that strengthen perma-death make the game much more cutthroat. But with this, there's still nothing to adequately replicate moral consequences. So, the inertia you experience in real life is fine because people don't regularly kill each other. In this game you have a sandbox, people, and ways to kill them without penalty. But as you've noticed, there's the business of attracting consumers. If players die easily after spending enormous effort then they tend to quit playing sooner out of frustration. The point being, the developers are very much aware of the situation, but the solution is not easy. Yea?

Pretty much this. Dead men don't talk. Seems unfair that I spent all that effort to be stealthy, hunt you down, and kill you only for the careless victim to say "Hey squadmates in discord, the game says the guy who shot me is over in that building to the northeast, He's got an M4." There is no 'next life' in the gameplay loop. You start over. The information you desire isn't actually needed. Avoid those mistakes by developing better tactics ahead of time. This is an old debate and the designers have kept killfeeds out of vanilla on purpose. A good decision, in my opinion.

Why would we need a DayZ 2.0 to add these things? Why not continue to improve mods?
-
Sometimes, organized groups will wear a similar piece of clothing, like a helmet, and then each squad-member will wear a different color armband so everybody knows who is who. Surely there has to be a way to distinguish friendlies and foes other than just armbands. Why must factions be defined by armbands? I mean it's fine if they would add more, but seems strange that it's necessary. Have you tried other indicators, by chance?

The choices available for vanilla seems fine to me. Maybe you should consider playing on PC if you want a more customized experience?

Players are always wayyy too clueless. For the love of God, people, pay attention. It's so frustrating watching people stumble through the environment and never learning. Stealth is so easy and players continually make bad decisions because they're so impatient. It's so easy to pull just one zed at a time. We really need to be careful because people cry for nerfs all the time.

Nobody on this website can help you. Contact BattleEye. That is your only option.

Self pride? C'mon dude, really? This is a fine suggestion. It's been suggested so many times. It can't be done. Developers have stated this LONG ago. You can find the developer answer to this in the FAQ thread, which is pinned in the News and Announcement subforum.

Dayz needs a stun gun, let’s talk about it
Parazight replied to Gostar28legacy's topic in General Discussion
I would generally agree to the things said here. Maybe that's the right solution. At any rate, it looks like it's a difficult thing to balance. Maybe they should cheat the system and reduce blood loss while uncon. Honestly, I've never considered stunning a player as a way to try and befriend them. Subduing someone is a hostile act. Like being hogtied. Talking to them while they're in a building is usually a much more reliable tactic. We're going to have to meet on equal terms if you want to be friendly. -
You always attack the issue and blame the hardware. Should people be expected to spend thousands of dollars just to play a game? Don't you think that the product should be able to perform on average and accessible components? Do you think that unreasonable system requirements are the foundation for a good business model? And why hate on consoles? They're not exactly a niche market.

Cheaters? Why i'm with my friend die instantly when ran into the school in Novaya Petrovka?
Parazight replied to Comrade's topic in General Discussion
Maybe you hit a tripwire. This is what I'm hoping for, because it's usually hilarious. Maybe cheaters got you. Cyber security is a global issue that affects everything. Go ahead and write a strongly worded letter to all of the communist heads of state because this is way beyond anything Bohemia Interactive, BattleEye, and even Tencent can do anything about. Tencent has stake in B.I., is worth 579 BILLION dollars, and is totally hamstrung by the whims of Xi Jinping. That's how it works. -
I'd like to give praise to the OP for starting a discussion with the community in order to find a solution to an observed problem. However, it isn't a problem for the vanilla product. As others have implied, please don't impose morality into the game. It's unfair to all of the hard working sociopaths that play. Gamers like to shoot other gamers in video games because no one gets hurt in real life when they do it. Let's not ruin that please. But by all means, feel free to make a morality mod and then try to sell the idea.

Are we going to get another interview with Filip Doksansky? Is he going to answer a bunch of worthless questions again including how we can't compare Enfusion to other engines? Or maybe we can get a worthwhile interview that discusses actual marketing, growth, and how they're going to avoid all of those mistakes they made with DayZ. We need an interview about the new engine that looks at the company through a lens that identifies good business models, not technical potential. Here is the video. Please do not make a 2022 version of this interview. Please give us worthwhile information.

Dayz needs a stun gun, let’s talk about it

We need a stun gun? Did the uncon mechanic stop working? -
Honestly, security isn't even an issue. All problems are solved with private servers. The real problem is building code around fighting cheaters instead of straight optimization. No, it's fine by me if you want to talk about this. Maybe you don't have to start a new thread every time tho? Hardware ID bans is a one shot tactic in the ongoing war on cheaters, which are always 2 steps ahead of the people trying to stop them. Bad people innovate ways to ruin other people and it always takes time to find a solution and repair the damage. This has been happening since people have been walking upright. Companies are being held for ransom for hundreds of millions of dollars. The U.S. government is also upping their game because cybercriminals are such an issue. This is way, way beyond the scope of BattleEye, DayZ, and video games. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/security/battle-us-ransomware-hackers-escalating-rcna2129 Basically, if you're complaining about cheaters in video games then you're completely unaware of the world outside of your own xbox. Please write a nice letter to Putin and Xi Jinping. Tell them to knock it off.
-
Then don’t post if you’re not going to engage. Stop being ignorant. You DO see cheaters in other games! They’re all over. Open a news feed once a week. Then realize that this is a global problem. Cyber criminals have infected way more than just the video game you play. Anyone who demands action against cheaters MUST be clueless as to the state of the world right now. The technology doesn’t exist to stop cyber cheaters. Get learnd

Imagine a server where people must push the button every 108 minutes in order to save Chernarus from massive explosion.

Sounds like a griefer’s wet dream. -
Yea. You tried to explain your point of view but you did a shit job of it. Accusing people of being cheaters because they disagreed and/or didn't understand you is terrible way to address the problem you have. And again. the cheating in video games stems from an issue that is way beyond the scope of BI. How is Bohemia Interactive going to hold these cheaters accountable? Invade China? The technology doesn't exist to solve these problems.

This is what I want, too. I'm not sure how well a simulator can mimic real life combat when it comes to hit indicators. I've never been shot in real life but I imagine that your adrenaline level would play a significant role in hit detection. But sometimes you have adrenaline and sometimes you don't. Maybe have the indicator flash in one spot on the screen to indicate that you've just taken a bullet and are hemorrhaging blood. This is a fair thing for a game to have. And for designers to want in their game, right?

That's just like, your opinion, man.
