Thanks for the input. I think this might help Rocket's current problems with the humanity system. It leaves the element of "I don't know if I can trust this person" while helping combat the shoot on sight due to "lack of trust in everyone". More input is always appreciated.

"- starts off with increased accuracy when using firearms" Anything that uses this I do not approve of. While the overall idea has potential, this is a first person shooter on PC. We do not use aim-assist, which is essentially exactly what you mention here. -

And maybe some other people need to learn to live with the fact the pvp is not the primary focus of this game and mechanics will be introduced to manipulate the gameplay (like heartbeat). I'm sorry this isn't the mindless pvp DM sandbox you want but... wrong game dude. Been said before the biggest threat in the game is other players. Don't see how you think PvP isn't the focus of the game. I'm sorry this isn't the mindless PvE scripted fight sandbox you want but...wrong game dude. For those that don't think guns are loud enough, go fire a 50 cal in the middle of cherno and see how many zombies you get. Friend fired one round from an AKM at the fire station in NW airfield. We easily killed 35 zombies because of it. If someone takes the time to clear portions of the city of zombies, and then uses their primary, they aren't going to get a lot of zombies because they did some work before they just started shooting their gun. Cherno is a highly populated area player wise. It isn't very uncommon to not find that many zombies in the city if there is a lot of PvP going on. But if there is a lot of players in an area, and no PvP going on, shooting your primary will attract more than 12 zombies.

Looking at the change log, I saw on May 24th the following hotfix took effect. HOTFIX : 24 MAY 2012 Affected addons: * dayz_code 1.5.8.4 Changelog: * [NEW] Support for more than 1,000,000 characters I think it is about time you start to take advantage of this Rocket.

I agree, the number of people playing has had an impact. That is why I think it is more important than ever that people are always playing with the latest update.

After going back to my six launcher and filtering for 1.7.1.4 it shows 170 servers total. I understand servers are still updating to the latest patch but having 370 servers unavailable can't be helpful. I know there are some who forget to update their server description but I kinda find it hard to believe so many of them all forgot at the same time. :P

Not sure why you think this will get rid of clan play. If anything it is going to increase it. One or two people from the clan might die clearing the NW airfield, but they will be able to clear it, and they will know nobody is going to be bothering them for at least 2 hours. Clans would also set up people on the coast to get rid of new players joining. Additionally this would kill server populations, which would reduce the number of servers being run, which would decrease the number of "chances" you got to play, which would increase your time away from the game. #1 priority in the gaming industry is keeping people playing the game you create. The absolute last thing you want to do is prevent people from doing that. You are also essentially punishing people for PvP, which they said they would never do. You are indirectly punishing them, but you are punishing them none-the-less. This is an age old debate, but overall, there are more pro's than con's of promoting clan play vice trying to prevent it. And most importantly, you are playing to have fun. If you aren't having fun, you need a new game to play, or you need to change the way you already play. Making people sit on the sideline like they got knocked out in a dodgeball game is not fun. There are very very few exceptions to this, and the only one that comes to mind for me right now is CODs Search and Destroy game type. But the max time you will spend on the sideline in that game is maybe 5 minutes? Can't support an idea that will keep you out of action for longer than that, especially when the idea would promote griefing of new players.

And you can't test something when the servers are constantly crashing. What are we trying to test, the loading screen? Game needs to work for us to test it, and right now it isn't. There is a difference between a patch that introduces difficulty changes and a patch that crashes servers. You can't test what doesn't work. Think before you post. -

Me thinks you should offer constructive advice instead of acting like an elitist douchebag to people on the forums. Here's what happens. You don't help him, and he keeps making threads on the forums that you read as crying. You help him and he goes away. Seriously, people like you should be banned from the forums. You offer nothing constructive to the people that are helping test this mod by writing what you just did. @OP There are several buildings with 2 entrances, and they are always the same color/size/shape. If you need to load up the editor so you can see what they are without any zombies around. At least this way you'll know what you're looking for when you have to run. -

This is a huge problem. The differences between time of day is huge for some people. I have played with some who have told me it is pitch black/cant see anything, and their watches have read up to an hour ahead of mine, while I would be playing during the day time/can see everything clear as day. Reconnecting to the server tends to reset the time for the people affected(temp workaround).

Date/Time: 16 June 2012 - 00:30 What happened:Spawned in with hour glass several times in a row on US 105. Where you were: West Berezino deer stand, and various other locations in Berezino on US 105. What you were doing: Stuck on deer stand ladder. Reconnected to same server (US 105) to attempt fix. Spawned in with hour glass, bleeding, broken leg. *Current installed version: 1.7 *Server(s) you were on: US 105, US 18 *Your system specs: i7 920, 12 gigs ram, Win 7 64, EVGA GTX 570 *Timeline of events before/after error: Got stuck on a deer stand ladder in west Berezino. Could not get off of it by going either up or down. Aborted to attempt to correct the issue. Respawned on same server (US 105) at the bottom of the deer stand ladder with bleeding, broken leg, and hour glass. Friend came and fixed me up, but my frame rates were crappy so I reconnected to the same server (US 105). Respawned in with hour glass again, not bleeding and no broken leg. Respawned on same server again (US 105) to try and correct the issue. Hour glass again. Disconnected and joined US 18. No hour glass. Rejoined US 105, had hour glass upon spawn again. Each time I waited for the hour glass to finish and my character to stand up before attempting a reconnect/joining US 18.
