Do Zombies Dream Of A Good Nights Sleep? (Zombie feedback)
d.walker43 replied to SmashT's topic in General Discussion
Hey guys, so when will there be more zombies in dayz? right now theres hardly any, and honestly the game can get pretty boring at times. Obviously I don't want it to be COD Black Ops like, but there needs to be more. right now they are not much of a threat at all. In a real zombie apocalypse, they would obviously be the main threat, not just other survivors. more zombies will encourage teamwork in order to survive, and it wont just be a free-for-all on a giant map like it is now. I understand its not that simple to just add more zombies, but it needs to be done at some point. Any feedback as to when there will be more or general discussion about it can be posted here. Serious posts only. Thanks. -
Hi guys, so I have been playing dayz and have been enjoying it greatly. However, starting a few days ago, my game wont launch. Not just dayz, but all of my steam games are doing this. When I click on play or on my desktop shortcut the window that says "preparing to launch ____" shows up, but then the game never launches and this window just stays forever. I have waited up to 20 minutes and it still has not launched. All of my games were fine until all of a sudden this problem occurred. dayz, tf2, ftl, and planetside 2 all will not launch. Any help with this problem will be appreciated. Thanks

intel core i7 w/ NVIDIA GTX 770m on ASUS still runs low fps. help!
d.walker43 replied to Thumper131's topic in Troubleshooting
I have a terrible $400 laptop mostly for schoolwork, and it runs on low-medium settings at 30-40 fps. Everyone on these forums and over at Game Debate and Steam said it would not run, or It would be so slow it would be unplayable. Ive had the game for almost a week and can run it great on these specs: CPU: Intel Core i3 4010U 1.7ghz GPU: Intel HD 4400 RAM: 6GB Screen: 1366x768 It runs fine on this at 30-40 in cities, and drops down to about 20-ish in cities. My suggestion would be turn everything to very low/disabled, then experiment and bump certain things up to see if it affects it. Best of luck to you, hope to see you in Chernarus! -
Hi guys, so I just bought dayz yesterday and have been searching vainly for the balota airfield. I have a compass, but not a map. Right now I am next to the crashed cargo boat, known as Rify. If you can tell me what direction to go to get to either balota, which I hear is the closest, or any other nearby airfield please tell me. Thanks!

Desktop or laptop? laptop Monitor resolution: 1366x768 CPU : intel Core i3 4010U @1.8ghz Graphics card: Intel HD 4400 RAM:* 6 gb SSD? (Yes/No) no I can run Planetside 2, which has higher requirements then dayz, at a steady 20 fps on medium settings. I don't meet the requirements at all for this game, but I meet some of them for dayz. What kind of fps will I get in dayz standalone? thanks
-
Are the dayz minimum/recommended requirements accurate? I understand the game is in alpha, but are the requirements close to accurate? The reason I ask is I downloaded the game Planetside 2, which I did not meet a single requirement for. I can run the game at a steady 30 fps on medium settings, and around 50 on low settings. I do not meet the requirements for dayz either, but the dayz ones are less than the planetside 2 ones, I am way closer to the dayz requirements and meet a few of them. Obviously the planetside 2 ones are not accurate at all, but what about dayz? any answers appreciated, thanks

Are the dayz requirements accurate? I bought another game, planetside 2, which MINIMUM is a dual-core 3ghz processor. I have a 1.8 dual-core and it runs fine on medium graphics at steady 20 fps. I don't meet the recommended requirements to run dayz, but I meet the minimum and for planetside 2 I didn't even meet that and it runs. So, are game specs in general, but specifically dayz, accurate? thanks System Specs: CPU: intel CORE i3 4010U 1.8ghz GPU: intel HD 4400 RAM: 6 GB Monitor Res: 1366x768 HDD: 500GB Harddrive after reading what I said above, is it possible I can run dayz on low graphics with 20+ fps? Thanks in advance :)

My specs are: CPU: Intel Core i3 4010U @1.8ghz GPU: Intel HD graphics 4400 RAM: 6GB RAM Resolution: 1366x768 500GB harddrive I can run Planetside 2 at medium settings, which has higher requirements then dayz standalone. This means I can run dayz, right? thanks
-
I wish I could, but...there isn't a trial version or anything. Any ideas on how I can test it out? thanks
-
thanks, once I buy the game I will try your settings out. if I can get same fps as you I will be happy.
-
yea, I know its not the greatest, I was on a fairly low budget when I bought it. Do you think I can still run it though? Thanks
-
well, I have the 4400 which is one of the better ones, like I said it runs other games with similar requirements decently so hopefully it will run decent and still look somewhat pretty, im on my school laptop and cant use my gaming desktop back at home so hopefully it works =)

Desktop or laptop? laptop Monitor resolution: 1366x768 CPU: intel Core i3 4010U 1.8Ghz Graphics card: Intel HD graphics 4400 RAM: 6GB standard RAM SSD? No will it be playable with this set up? I don't care about graphics, as long as I get a steady 20+ fps. I can run games with similar requirements to dayz at a steady 50-60 fps, if that helps.

Desktop or laptop? laptop Monitor resolution: 1366x768 CPU: intel Core i3 4010U 1.8Ghz Graphics card: Intel HD graphics 4400 RAM: 6GB standard RAM SSD? No I can run games such as minecraft, runescape, ftl, and asphalt 8 on high settings at a steady 60+ fps. I'm fine with low settings and low fps, as long as its 20+.

Hi guys, I would like to buy Dayz but idk if my laptop will run it. I know I can on my desktop, but idk about the laptop. Ill list my specs below. Please don't just assume since I don't have a $3000 gaming computer I wont be able to run the game. Also don't tell me how I need to upgrade, this is for schoolwork and just a little gaming on the side. Specs: CPU: intel Core i3 1.8ghz GPU: intel HD 4400 RAM : 6GB Ram Screen: 15.6 inch 1366x768 I can run games such as minecraft, runescape, FTL, and mw2 at ultra/high settings with high fps, idk what but it doesn't lag at all and feels like a steady 50-60. Any answers will be appreciated, and any tips on what I can do to increase fps and such will be helpful too. Thanks
