Actually it's already in game files, you can spawn box of cigarettes, game has lighters. About ads: it was called Chernomorky (on the pack on russian: Chernomorkanal (kidding on soviet cigarettes (it's still exists) "Belomorkanal", that add still in the game and you can find it on the map (billboard), but image is hardly damaged so it's hard to see, but if you know how it looks - it's not a problem to see. If you wish original texture I can send you link over priv msg (maybe it will work idk damn it).

Are official servers going to be wiped after the 1.23 update?

Nope. It will happens on all servers, because of loot points updating and moving objects (you know any stuff in air (everywhere on the ground, loot is everywhere in every sight and evey sound... P.S. Sorry remembered that song xD)). But under wipe i guess will only loot stuff not the buildings and containers and vehicles. Mechanics would be quite simple - when server would updated dynamic_XX.bin and cause the wipe to null. Or would be with script part resetted by positions (set lifetime to 0 for each object in range, that would cause the server to remove objects that has 0 lifetime) and in both cases version of servers database would be update to upper value. But the database of characters (contains inside sepparate part of DB would be untouched AND WHILE YOU HAVE A CHANCE GET OUT FROM NWAF, WHILE YOU CAN!!!). Anyway we shall await for updating. We can guessing but we'll never know what's state will choose the DayZ Developers Team. -

Wait did you settled the coordinates of your locations as infectedchurch "event"? If you didn't that may cause the problem because for the server not enough information to correct definition where's events should happens. -
You need to mod all your data. You need override not only loadingscreen, also Timeout.c and ConnectionLost or something, everything you may get from your DayZ Exp\dta\scripts.pbo All scripts and loadouts are there.

1st it's impossible. There's no such protection that will not allow you to use mod. You may protect from using from outside your mod (split confirmation and some server's class references (like settings) to the server mod), but don't be an egoistic b**ch be a simple man.

Well on each military location there's stand that allow to keep weapons in one place, does it works - not for a second. About stashes pff oh boy, there's no any fine locking system that allow you to lock your gun safe coz those codelocks is for gates and etc and not for lockers. So same as with locking tents - get your mod or leave it behind.

Actually addons would be safe coz you'll remove em from starting script nothing else (from section -mod= ) also suggest you to make backup of profile folder for something and THE DATABASE! Removing of mods may broke the database so make backup before the running the changes on your server. I just wish to remind you that you need to find the addon that breaks your server, then find why it breaks and then get a decision shall you leave or remove that addon. -
Not only it would be nice to finally see PKM as enemy against the M249 with rifle's 7.62x54R cartridges. M249 would win in speed and controlling when PKM in distance and damage. But I hope that also would be implemented the barrel changing pricess because it's freaking important for the firearm. But it's only my fing dreams...

Exactly you can't do anything, because you are not a developer of mods that you're using. Only one thing that you can do is only accept that. I'm understanding it's hard and a bit sadly but it's the honest. Sorry... To find which mod breaks your server you shall start to add mods one-by-one and start over again the server. When you met a crash see what's your last added mod and search in dayz server profile folder about the configuration files for that mod. Try to make backup and then remove the folder, fine mods shall recreate the configuration on first start of the server. For editing the configuration I suggest you to use free editors like Notepad++ it free and out of charge. -

It's not a huge problem. So basically it's a notification for mod's dev that he didn't localised strings properly. You shall check out about conflicts and nested configuration in json files it's a weak point of DZ that may crash your server. Actually almost everything may kick your server down. -
Is it possible put log out zones in the game???

Mate I guess you'll not find an approvement for your idea. I wish to put my idea why it wouldn't working here: The first one: many times any player need to leave the game away from his base or safe point. That will cause a bullsh*t about the running to save place. Second: outside of your safe zone will appears the dead zones that will pissoff your players away. And third: man, as I said that to one folk in BF4: "Don't take a sh*t and ve a simple man" and that's true, don't make the game more complex then it used to be. i didn't wish that for your server but i think that brinks away your players from your server. Please consider my words and get your idea will you bet your players against your server or leave it as is. Please read my message as is without any deep context or something. I'm just sharing my point about your idea. With my regards, man. -

Welcome to DayZ. All servers (no matter is it private or public shard database) has a synchronization timeout. Also possibly that there's an attacking vectors that allow to kill server out. Same as timeout for items that was placed on the ground and 'eir state. So if simplify - you have many chances to loose your loot or even crate with loot coz it's broken. -

Quite fair, nevertheless in workshop there's some mods that allows server owners make books readable. But will it be so neededBut will it be so needed for game community and other folks who plays alone around? -
About love servers - when comes release and admins got idea that server should be updated. About the release date. If everything went bad then less then 1 month (1 or 2 weeks), if we got luck release will be done in 1.5 or 2 months. Yeah it's long and sad but there's a great chance that bugs (yeah you're not a Bill Gates to make so much bugs) will be found and solved and as result - we'll get a great build of the game that will brings us please each day of playing. So simply don't hurry. If you in dayz since first days, remember how does community pissed of Dean Hall for release DayZ and how does community got sad when found that the game is not what do we have now.

With chance > 75% would be wipe. Because of updating of the NWAF (was added new buildings and moved some olders like crashed C130). -
Missions for Surviving Mission (let's call it SMS aka Survivor Mission Sistem) is loading on first player connected (aka mission initiated) so no matter with or without parameter you're starting it. Anyway if there's any kind of error you should restart the mission (aka server) for checking all mission logic and applying the fixes. Reason of that parameter was for securing the servers. It used to be that was an attack vectors for spam large files on servers and slowdown server's initialisation or even broke 'em by malformation of syntax or arguments in mission / profile folders. Since 0.35 up to 1.05 that parameter had many changes for security reasons. Now it helps to protect servers from attaching with network code.

I'm using that mod the server, it's quite old for current build but still do it's jobs well. -allowFilePatching - is for development of mission on client-side (like a standalone mission like dayzofflinemission); nevertheless on server-side startup parameter -allowFilePatching, means that server can use $mission: and $profile namespaces for accessing to the files for read and write actions. If you don't use that starup parameter, $mission: and $profile namespaces became to Read-Only state and server can't change files contents or settings (create files that not existing or append new data into it).

Nope. It used to be that without filepatching you cold use server-sode mods but it was closed since 1.03 DayZ version. In those times you cold reset player variables (like stamina and etc) with server-side mod. Now you need to use mod itself to override client and server sides, but server-side mods can make a tricks. Also allow file patching - is the way to keep dinamic configuration (in any kind of files) in mission and profile folders, so if you has mods with static configuration (like create and append by your hands values) you shouldn't use allowfilepatching, but if mod requires to save or create folders and files - you shall set that startup parameter.

No way to run it without. Filepatching allows ro override some classes of base game, without that parameter your mod wouldn't be applicable

Let's see. 1st you shall add next lines to startup parameters: "-cpuCount=X" where X amount of cores. (If you has RDP access to the server run the Task Manager, open the tab "Performance" and find string named: "Cores". That value shall be setted into cpuCount argument.) "-exThreads=X" where X is amount of threads per core (you may find that value on same Performance page it called: "Logical Processors", place it inside exThreads). That one is the best that may help you with startup parameters. 2nd "extra suspicious file": open file "dayzsetting.xml", it's located inside of root directory of your DayZ server right near the DayZServer_x64.exe, Find next lines: ~14: <pc maxcores="X", WHERE maxcores is extThreads value - 1 (we make it for reservation of cores if something badly wend off). It's the best with "tricky stuff". Last I suggest you to check out the "serverDZ.cfg" or how you named it i just don't know, check that you have all special variables setted, so get to Google or Duckduckgo or whatever search system you preffer and find the latest version by Bohemia Interactive. It will help you to solve some stuff around, sake as they keep that information live for current stable build, to give hand for server owners. I hope that might help you to solve you problem. Also you may try to set Hight Priority to DayZSetver process through the Registry, but i think that you can't do that (will not be permitted). Also if you are using the "start" cmd inside the Batch File, you may include "/high" option - the task would be started with hight priority Shall be something like: start /high DayZServer_x64.exe {blahblahblah} I hope it will help you a little.
