Mate get to the Steam Workshop and find there addon called Taviana Map. Tavi is small map like Namalsk, yes it's not winter, but she is quite small about 25.5 km² and yeah, Chernarus is abou 15km² within water area...

Server pop count in launcher grossly inaccurate

Well idea is what do mean under the "accurate"? I know everyone wish only the simple answer that gives only small understanding, but reality is complicated stuff. About the server status: Impossible to give the proper data, because of logic. The game state for the client has several states: 1) Not connected; 2) In/On loading; 3) In auth state; 4) InGame; 5) Predisconnected; 6) On leaving; 1. - it's obvious... 2. State fired when player hitted Connect, game send data to the server, switching the screen to the loading screen state 1 and loading in memory necessary data within receiving the data from server (state of the game, mission files, validating checksums for files) 3. Sending the nessary data like SteamID, GUID (not BE, the character IDs), awaiting from the server data like: is character dead or alive, is first run or not first and other stuff) on the end of the state we receive the InGame state. 4. When we loaded and in-game the server adding ID to current players count so Steam A2S_PLAYERS will return current online, same as BE will submit the same data on query. 5. Firing when player on countdown for disconnecting. 6. Firing when the client leaved the server, but the character is on the server. And now the funniest part on what's state we shall submit "accurate" players count and what's the accurate count is? If report within awaiting eque (connecting and disconnecting player) - we have wrong count based on in-game players. If report in-game players - we have wrong count based on connecting and disconnecting queues. I think everything is right with current players list but most important why do you have such odd numbers... And please keep in mind that nuber is launcher can changes, reported 5, but while you loading may 20 more players join and then will be the mismatch. Also the launcher not updating the olayers count until you'll not press update button by your hand. Nothing special but might give you some understanding about the issue in understanding of the problem. 🙂 -
Everything what you shall know about scripting for DayZ with Examples is hidden in mods from Steam Workshop and in you game client. Download DayZ Tools, get to folder: Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\dta In that folder theres a file: scripts.pbo -> unpack it with your PBO Manager/tool there you may find the config.bin -> it could be converted to config.cpp (classes definitions for ingame objects), also in subfolders theres other files *.c Open them up with your prefered notepad/IDE (if you don't have one - DON'T USE WINDOWS NOTEPAD, it's for folks who prefer to shoot own legs). Those scripts can give the examples and understanding how all of it works and how you can tweak the game or make her more like you wish to see 🙂

Actually as I know the gift boxes generated from the cfgrandomptesets.xml (locations for events); cfgspawnabletypes.xml (contents of boxes and chances) and in the types.xml - to not allow em got despawned... I still can't understand why for it's required the mod...?

I'm not sure, but the game files of 1.25 has bow, perhaps you could assemble it by your own character's hands... I didn't checked it (not really interested but nevertheless)...

It's alright mate. I'm sorry for that kind of question, but do you get any kind of message in real world that someone somewhere were killed or were dead? I guess not, same as many others on this planet. Also the cheater is hard to determinate if he didn't use any kind of special software that's give him ability to get any player aroud the map... For example if you've been killed on the range 1200m is that was a cheater or folk that cold properly prepared his shot (properly calculated distance and validated it, or simply was able to get a shot, but are you sure that was a single shot...). The victory loves preparations, it's the main rule of the world and no one can hide from it... No I didn't want to say that's there's no cheaters in the game and I not wish to say that BE done their job so badly, but for example the PSO optics gives quite accurate readings about distance on the range of 800 meters (checked that on mine server). And yeah if you met a cheater - you have not a single chance to fight him because of his cheats. So remaining only admins and reports on player, but how about the proofs. Mate please don't get me wrong but it's the black hole... Just think about it no I'm not talking about forgetting the cheaters or something but the best and hardest part is to be objective about the cheaters. Maybe that was a cheater or folk that was prepared to got you... I'm not about to abuse or offend you I just talking as admin of my server that's met few cheaters and got them banned with few tricks to get bust them on cheating. I just shared my thoughts about it I l know it's useless for you... I wish you to not met cheaters on you game way and wishing you luck 🙂

Flag pole despawns within an hour being unattended

Folks idk but did you tryed to get classname of that pole and search for it inside the types.xml? Maybe it's not part of your types or something P.S. I honestly have no idea, but yeah I have the same madness issue that pissing me out too often. I hope you'll able to find the way for solving it! 🙂 -
Rail-Mounted Long Range Scope

Coz you didn't point about what platform do you talking about (PC or consoles), I think you're talking about PC, so you can make your own mod that's override settings of scopes, like you can make Hunting scope 3x - 100500x or PSOs, or whatever elase you prefer. Get cfgs from HuntingOptic and apply them to the scope you prefer. Honestly it's not so hard as you may expect... Oh yeah, there's no any PSO (they all has only fixed magnification value), The scope with variable magnification is POSP (Прицел Оптический Панкратический, к примеру 1П59 "Гиперон") Optical Pancratic sight, for example 1P59 (Sovet/Russian GRAU Index) called "Hyperon"... -

Unpack weapons_firearms.pbo -> AKM -> config.bin with DayZ Tools Bin2Cpp.cmd convert to config.cpp, open as regular text document or C++ source code amd check all instances of AKM class.

Mate, please understand those MG files since 0.68 or maybe 1.00 game patch. Please don't ask me when. Only the BI devs can tell you something about that, but no one alse. If make a point that devs right now working on awesome stuff (based on article @ the Steam news about the 1.25 update), that new feature will be shown later this year maybe it could be something useful or new firearm or something else or just another buggy version of V3S truck that now can transport 2 or more folks. But again, no one yet knows (except the BI Dev's team) and no any kind of information. If you wish to completely ruin you hope - then hope that it would be implementation of MGs mechanics; if you not wishing to ruin your hope - await the updates information. I'm sorry for long answer but better safe then sorry I guess you know it 🙂

1. Bad news thread is about.50bmg. 2. They are already in the game HMG PKM (7.62x54R) & LMG M249 (.223 / 5.56NATO), but they not working at all. So maybe some day or never at all who knows...

Mate honestly right idea for creating separe file for defines, but be honest #define can be declared in any part of the code except only inside the function body. 🙂 -

Mate please understand one stuff, you are the player and the worst part - you are not the one who plays on any server in dayz. If you got ban and it's not permanent by BE or devs of dayz - accept and relax, find better server where you can feel yourself more free. If you got banned without the reason by your understanding - try to find the way to contact with server admin and try to explain what's happened and then to find the way for resolving that ban. If no way to contact - accept and search another server. As the server admin I can say as I understand the server hosting and the way how amdw do I ban players, I wish to point it's only my understanding and nothing more, it's working for me but not for any other admin... If player disrespect admin, players and operate like a b*** or b***ing other players - first time I'll type to him why he's wrong (consider that's like the warning), next time I'll give him the perm ban and let him go away. If admin is abusive offend other players or sabotaging their game experience that's that issue that you can't resolve, because most of admins knows one truth about hosting of the server - server for players and not players for server, admin spending his own money for hosting the server and any kind of donations from players to admin(s) of the server is only the way to say thanks for the server (or get some stuff for clan/player). So it's your way honestly. If server is good for you try to communicate with highest admin (server owner), explain him the situation and maybe if ban was for no reason he/she will unban you. If not sorry but no one actually can help you with that coz devs/be/community can unban you, only admin can do it. Please understand it as is, I'm not saying that some is right or someone is wrong, I just saying how do I understand it and nothing more. With my regards mate I hope you can solve your issue and return back to the server wehre you had played. And for sure with my regards 🙂

Base of all rules is respect yourself, other players and admins. It's everywhere and works like bible. Like or hate - it's no one cares and most important it's not caring any admin.

Thank you for the good news. I hope that will help players get Livonia DLC. But I have one question regardless to the mail news. Yesterday I got a mail, where: "We're thrilled to announce that after many requests, our console looter shooter Vigor is finally coming to PC!", and my question is Shall DayZ community be awared about closer end-life of DayZ Standalone, or it's just announcement and nothing special and dev team still will be support the DayZ game? With my regards.

There's a Chinese problem (they creating tonns lots of fake servers). You need to await for 2 weeks with full running server and it shall appears in the Community servers list of DayZ Launcher. And no, the server not required any kind of specific licences except the game licence.

I think the troube of 0.62 is not it's popularity it's the Hacked exe within Steam.dll wappers/emolators that allow start DayZ without the Steam & game license + 0.68 had 98% of items when 1.24 has about 75% with some more useless items. That's why it's still popular, but 0.68 and previous versions is SQF/Arma 2.5 (ToH Engine build) with syntax closed to Arma 3 1.0 version. When DayZ SA since 1.0 using Enfusion engine and completly different scripting language that more close to C# 4.0. that's all about.
