ever watch the show 'life after people'? they suggest that if people died out in droves, cats would thrive and most dogs would die waiting for their dishes to be refilled. game needs more cats. they could ignore us all day, but come running when they hear a can being opened. and zombies would leave us alone because they'd be standing around bottoms of trees.

in the far northeast, halfway between svetlo and dobroe, there's a military building on its own that not too many people go to. from there you can quickly get to all those cities nearby for supplies. there's also a handy well just down the road from it, and the whole area seems zombie-free. good place to operate from when you first respawn.

I saw a chicken once. a zombie chased and killed it - it was pretty funny random shit. I didn't have a knife on me though, so I don't know if I could've got meat or anything from it.

you should also be able to bury tactical bacon with a shovel and get a wild boar tree.

police cars are mostly where I've found them, and police stations and I think military buildings. you don't need many at all, because you'd basically only use them for hunting game and you can retrieve them.

I tried fishing, and... nope. that's a LOT of time hunting around for the stuff you need, and a lot of stuff to store, just to spend a lot of time sitting by the water and clicking, waiting for a zombie or bandit to take advantage of that PERFECT time to have a go at you. hunting is just less stuff to carry, and at least while you're hunting you have a weapon in your hands so you're ready to defend yourself. maybe you need lots of beer on hand to make fishing okay, just like real fishing...

in a world gone to crap situation, there wouldn't be this many guns just lying around. or ammo. not even close. if someone dropped/left a weapon, it would ONLY be because it was empty. and if there were a cache of weapons/ammo at a military base it should be locked up - you should have to find some explosives and blow the door, attracting every zombie for miles. and guns should wear out if you don't do something to maintain them. and I want a pony. or at least a helper monkey. -

I just had the weirdest thing happen. I joined a server, and when I came in I was right beside an exact copy of me. oooookay... I moved around some and he (I) didn't mimic my movements. so I shot him (me) in the head. he (I) died. I didn't. so I looted myself and ran away. XD just... what the hell...

I... logged in, is how I did it... actually the game crashed just before. maybe that had something to do with it.

I have pre-packaged 'gift to friendly guy' packages ready (can opener, morphine, mags, etc, usually in one of those yellow protective cases). when I come across someone who makes no threatening move at first, I toss him the package and I'm gone around a corner before he's done picking it up. friendly gesture with minimal risk. "who was that masked man?" :-) -
I just want the city names on the map to be the same language as the damn signs.

when we find maps in buildings in russia (it's russia, right?), why aren't the city names in russian? we didn't find the maps in ohio.

I recommend the shotgun only for finishing off unconscious people. everything else will absorb your two shots and then show you what a corndog feels like.

Very hard/impossible to join servers or stay in servers

I think a lot of servers restart at random times, not right on the hour, so hoppers don't know which one just got the loot refreshed. sometimes I get lucky and can play forever before the reset, other times I get a reset less than a minute after I join. just keep rejoining til you get lucky. -
I thought I read somewhere that the stick could occupy the melee weapon slot(?). maybe if you could unstring it and put it back there? not a problem for the vast majority of us though - you'd think a stick would be easier to find than an assault rifle...
