in 3pp I have: (pristine unless stated) 1x steyr aug (w) with 2x 30rd mags 2x m4 plastic handguards (p/w) 1x mp5 rail handguard looking for: smersh + backpack (not ruined) I know smershes are pretty common now but between glitch deaths and tents vanishing I'm losing them as fast as I find them.

they all apparently died in outhouses and garden sheds.

hopefully soon. I noticed you can jump while running with remapped keys now (you couldn't before).

found one but dropped it because I've yet to see a mag anywhere for one, and have nowhere to put one until tents stop vanishing.

last night in the space of a few minutes I had a sword, a hat and a jacket I was wearing vanish, and a smersh vest and a plate carrier holster vanish from my tent inventory while I was looking at it. I wasn't moving them and the server didn't reset while they were on the ground or anything. and I came out of the tent and looked around and nobody was around. can someone explain? was it some kind of hack? is it a bug? because that's some bullshit there.

no just certain things disappearing. and it's not the first time (jackets and vests vanishing off my back), but last night was the worst case.

found one box at an mi-8 crash site and that's it. but now that I think about it, I can't recall seeing any boxes or loose ammo in .54...

not sure if my tent's still there - it's too far from respawn and going that far without starving takes years now.

having to forage for food is good for the game, but the current way of getting apples and berries is tiresome as hell. in real life when you're picking berries, it's not a slot machine with an arm you keep pulling to see if food will be dispensed. you walk up to the tree and it VISIBLY either has fruit or it doesn't. what I propose is you click on a berry bush or apple tree ONCE and it gives you either x (randomized) amount of fruit or nothing, and produces nothing on subsequent tries until server reset. then you walk away and try another bush or apple tree. not sure what programming or server load that would entail, but I think that would satisfy the needs of both realism and non-tiresome gameplay perfectly.

found 2 uk vests, a high cap vest, 2 mountain packs, a sposn and a hunter's pack, all (except the high cap) of which were wiped this morning (saw a post saying they purposely wiped anything on the ground). (really? f*** this game) should've stayed up the extra half an hour last night to finish sorting my stuff and packing it up.

trev add me back on steam tomorrow night so I can get this sword to you (I did say if I got one it was yours). you can unfriend me again after if you really feel the need to. *coughcoughparanoidcough* :-p after the handoff I'm packing up my characters until some of the bugs are worked out of .55, so I won't be available for other trades for a while.

it's definitely a game you have to be in the mood for now. some days you just may not wanna click a bush 500 times while being told 100 times that you're dying. today I actually starved to death twice carrying can openers. all the berry bushes were unlucky, and not even 100% of every can I found could save me. :-/

when I find another spare I'll test that. don't have any pitched right now - in transit to where new camp will be.

just tested a tent (waited til I had a spare) and it works now. although I'm starting to see the merits of just using backpacks (the ones that aren't bright orange). if helis are spawning in the same place every time, be careful approaching them now. someone could be staking them out.

I went into town naked to kill off a sick character, and went fisticuffs on two zombies. I was shocked that both were dead in 2 or 3 punches. when an axe takes 5 or 6???

found two yesterday, already mostly looted (some stuff, but best stuff gone) the patch is an adjustment. hardest thing is only drinking canned drinks until you get purification tabs, because even bottled water is suspect (people may even be filling them with pond water and leaving them). survive on picked berries and apples until you get north. store your stuff in a backpack not a tent until tents are confirmed not to vanish. and if you hit something with your truck (including zeds) the truck and possibly you take damage. oh and trucks aggro nearby zeds now.

still says you can't receive messages. what do you want for those?

if anyone's still looking for a red firefighter's helmet I have a pristine one. also have a pristine black firefighter's jacket. and an mp5 (but those are more common than beans now). will trade for water purification tabs, so my next spawn doesn't have to get cholera to not die of thirst. :-/
