since the wednesday maintenance my 3pp character is suddenly always hot and sometimes overheating. doesn't seem to matter what server or what I'm wearing, or if I'm soaking wet. anybody else getting that?

met with yocheco619 and all went well. actually did end up giving him a barrel - found it a few steps from where we met.

go to a high loot spot and spin slowly. one of those biggest trees nearby probably has someone's barrel behind it. they're small but people think they're invisible. :rolleyes: I see 4 or 5 a day. next one I see I'll stash it and tell you where it is.

did a quick trade with Bloodzy. went well. others showed up with him, but guards at a trade aren't unusual. (Bloodzy, what are the names of the others who showed up? I'll add them to my trusted traders list.)

you can mitigate that by just joining a less-populated server, or a roleplaying server. if you just wanna explore with minimal risk, choose less populated (or empty). if you wanna have encounters and not die (as much), a roleplaying server is good. or you can just organize a group to play with for mutual protection. note: the original poster plays on roleplaying servers and he's someone you can meet in-game and he won't shoot you in the face. I won't shoot you either. in fact, I'll often come save you if you're dying, or bring you stuff if you died and have nothing.

yes. I've rescued one person (months ago though) and I'm not even an 'official' resuer. I check occasionally to see if someone needs help near where I am. -

in 3pp I have: pristine gorka helmet WITH (now) pristine face shield pristine gas mask (fits nice with gorka helmet) 1911 with 2 mags and pristine pistol flashlight w/ battery 2 mags for cr75, 2 mags for p1 pistol 2 full crossbow bolt cases (10 bolts total) longhorn with worn pistol scope (which fits a crossbow) pristine compensator and 1 clip for mosin damaged hunting scope pristine rangefinder with battery worn hunter backpack pristine blue mountain backpack PRISTINE CHAINSAW :-) several black high cap vests - 1 pristine, rest worn damaged combat knife (editing this as I find/drop things)

I use the nvidia optimization only as a starting point, because it almost always gives me stuttery performance. I take their choices, then go to settings and turn down the things I don't care about, and maybe turn up a thing or two. some things hurt your fps more than others, and turning those down a notch can make a big difference and often don't make much of a difference in looks.

fyi, I started playing the game again today, after not liking .57 and taking a break. some of you long-time traders know me. question: are yellow protective cases worth anything now for trade? (now that they take up 6 spaces) if not, I'm gonna drop the one I have. dumped. another question: how rare are tire repair kits? just came across one. also, where do find winchester ammo now?

Inventory problems making game impossible to play

yep. an inventory system shouldn't be something you have to fight or babysit. I dunno what they were thinking. combat glitches? fine, you can avoid combat. stairs randomly kill you? well, you can avoid stairs too. but a fucked up inventory system... well, I guess I can avoid having stuff... (gee I hope collecting stuff isn't important in this game) I have 1,447 hours in this game and I enjoyed the hell out of most of it. but now I'm totally turned off. I've uninstalled, waiting for word that it's fixed.
