hold onto at least 1 or every type of mag as long as you have room, just because they don't take up too much space. then if you come across a gun to match, you're set. most of the guns will still work without a mag, but you'll be limited to single shots, so it's not the end of the world if you don't have the mag -

ask tatanko. he does photo profiles of the various guns (we just did the blaze). he got a screenshot of me with a HUGE muzzle flash in broad daylight - you can ask him if he did anything special with his settings. -

ammo is still everywhere. maybe not raining ammo like before, but it's practically everywhere. find the ammo first and then pick up the gun for it, not the other way around. and if you don't spray ammo at every person you see, you'll find it faster than you use it. and food's really not scarce at all. you can never touch a can and have plenty of food. you can only eat from cans and have plenty of food, currently. -

I've already been doin that. having lots of stuff is great, until you have to sort. then it's a pain in the ass. :-p check out my public camp (location in profile). it's where I (and some other people) dump extra stuff for other people to benefit from. it started out just being food and canteens and compasses and a bit of ammo, but now there's been everything from m65s to fals dropped there. yesterday there was a car tent full of steaks. XD if the barrels are full, you can toss some sewing kits or crossbow bolts or something on the ground. or take a gun with you.

*sigh* - go to the bottom of the ladder - take enough things out of your pack - go up ladder - get chainsaw - go down ladder - put chainsaw in hands - put things back in pack if you don't have a pack that's 5 wide, chainsaws also spawn in other places. I have one that I got in a shed.

you'd have space for food if you left a few of your guns at camp. and an improvised knife would let you carry an axe, so you could leave the stove and all those gas canisters behind, again for more space for food. if you make space for food and stop by the odd apple tree or farm for 20 mins, hunger is never an emergency.

first time I played dayz I walked (not ran or jogged) around in the woods, climbing to hilltops to look around at what was around me. went on for a long time until I starved or died of dehydration. that was interesting enough to come back. and the next time I assume I looked for food. p.s. geez you really had a hard-on for that guy that just wanted to get away. you da man. -
if you need a mag for it there's one at my public camp (location in my profile) sorry, gone now. yazar took it - get him!

ahh that sucks. I had that happen once. a 3pp server with my main stash changed to 1pp. my 1pp character was actually able to go get the stuff, but my 3pp lost everything. if it went offline maybe it'll come back. or maybe the ping just got higher and your filters excluded it...
