never too early to teach people that maybe bullets are too valuable to spray at respawns. maybe it'll weed out a bunch of the squeakers by beta. -
like every other patch it'll go to stable about a month after you get heavily invested in another game.

I left barrels on 2 almost full 50-pop servers just now (no I'm not naming them), right in front of gorka police station. with .308 ammo, m65s and other goodies. enjoy. :-D was gonna offer them up on the trading post, but decided this is more fun. :-p

none of that is really very rare/valuable - if you wanna restart I'd say just drop it, so you aren't waiting on one of us (not too many people checking out this thread atm). thanks for the offer though. you find the VSS at russian crash sites I believe (the ones that don't smoke)

why would you even bother with a ruined scope? it's probably 100x more rare than a non-ruined one. -

yeah and I purposely swapped things in every single barrel yesterday. I'm really thinking something's broken in the persistence 'timer' on things. to be on the safe side I'm gonna pick up barrels themselves and re-place them once a week now (like we all used to). we'll see if things keep vanishing.

yeah the barrels that went missing from the public camp had mundane stuff like sewing kits and spraypaint in them but the barrels with heli loot weren't touched. [edit] come to think of it, if you forget about when I last interacted with stuff, these are the barrels that were PLACED first. is it possible that interaction is now not resetting the despawn timer?

hmm... I had a tent full of stuff gone this morning. and a couple of barrels at the public camp. and I interacted with all of them just yesterday. I assumed someone just raided me (I took down the camps just in case), but this thread makes me wonder. it would suck if persistence became unreliable again.
