yeah I run into people in odd 'not where you'd expect' places too. when I'm not going to a planned meeting I don't usually wear a mic, so I just wave and continue on (speed depending on whether they shoot or not). if it's a freshie sometimes I'll type out a friendly hello and ask if they need anything. funny random encounter story: the 556 I just gave you came from a guy that shot at me on the coast a couple of days ago (after I waved). the building I ran to for cover turned out to be where he had 2 barrels full of goodies. :-D I was new spawn without even a shirt so I could only take a yellow case full of stuff and run. -
the mil tent is the most hassle to place because you have to do it from your inventory screen (wish there was a hotkey). if it says you can't pitch it 'in a place like this', pick another area. if it says there isn't enough space, the location is good but you're too close to something - just move a bit and try again. you can move while in the inventory screen.

sure we can tone that down. as soon as you can't run at full speed immediately after morphine fixes your leg getting shot off. and tip: spread your bandages around so one unlucky hit doesn't ruin your entire bandage stock. I know this and I don't even shoot at people.

they definitely spawn - I found one in a tent at the sobors in 1pp on day 1. they are rare though, esp in 3pp.

I'd recommend a blaze anyway. this patch I've had rounds disappear from guns with internal mags when I log out or in. it's happened twice with a winnie and with other guns, but I've yet to see it happen with my blaze. I sent you a pm with the location of a stored winnie though, if you still want one. and there's a longhorn there too, come to think of it.

I've been hyperthermic for more than half an hour and not died. people have told me they've been hyperthermic for days without anything happening (other than being told 4 million times). that being said, all you have to do is not sprint everywhere. it's not hard. any state before hyperthermic reverts to normal if you stop jogging/sprinting. hyperthermic seems to be permanent (swam for a full hour with no change), which is an issue.

found both parts (vest and backpack) at one russian heli. [edit] or american? can't remember. but both parts were there. -
