If you are having trouble navigating, the best thing to do is go on an online map (just google DayZ SA map), find a town, check what town it is via a sign, and then pick a location and head in the direction of the area you want to go to. I like to set markers and go there. -
I feel like food is good how it is, but still feel that guns are very common like in the mod. If they cut the amount of guns in half, the amount of KOS would drop like a fly and a swatter.

If you kill someone who bears any sort of threat, its not really KOS. KOS is highly considered killing without thought or consideration or analysis.

A more rational way of thinking would be to play a more reclusive survival style until KoS in general lowers when new things are added (higher zombie count, base building, skills, etc.). Don't be so quick to approach and if you have to, be the one to kill. In this way, you will be able to know how a killer thinks, be able to recognize a killer, and learn to avoid killers better when you switch back into a hero/medic play style. Hope this helps!

So I just got my new computer and DayZ runs great! I have played for like 20-30 hours and it is fun. So on my current character, I am bouncing in and out of the big city and have good clothes, an axe, a screwdriver, and some food. Everything is going great. And then I got mowed down by bandits, but I rub it off because that stuff happens in DayZ. But when I respawn, I want to get the gear they have, so I want to go to the airfield and city, but I forget how. I don't know how to find where to go, and I am all around confused. I need some lengthy type and strong visual representations to show how to successfully navigate without a interactive map to guide you like in other games. This is the only part of the game that is turning me off and I was like, why not turn to the forums for help???
