One suggestion I like was that you can not rejoin the same server for one hour unless the server gets restarted.

This is more for the PvP side of things in the game and preparation is vital. Get your group together before entering such engagements, and get everyone familiar with what each and everyone is wearing. Use comms (TS, Skype) and give precise information how you want your team to move. Have them report their positions and their movements, keep useless chat to a minimum and use easy short and understandable commands. It's such a laugh when you watch some of the videos on YT with kids screaming around shooting their own team and giving information like "there is one standing next to the tree over there". :lol:

I'm not going to say this is a bad idea or it is a good one. I def. see the benefits, specially when you watch some of the videos on YT when a clan start shooting each other, or having the whole group take off their pants looks hilarious. Armbands in different colors or even with clan emblems sounds cool and would not take away the immersion, but having them glow and having a tag above their head does take away the immersion. If you suggested having more than black and green spray cans and being able to spray rags and tie them to the upper arm I would give you my beans! If the different colored spray cans is a problem, then just have a red t-shirt create red rags, blue t-shirts create blue rags, ...! I forgot to mention that when DayZ SA goes full release I am sure we will be seeing such things in the mods.

Found all the attachments in Balota tent city and a 30 mag in the jail building. Went to the Military Base near Pavlovo and found nothing. Finally found the AKM on a bed in Zelenogorsk in the barracks and a 30 mag in the jail building there. It did take me 3 days from spawning at Karmanovka and traversing all the way down the map, checking every police station on the way until I finally found it in Zelenogorsk Military Barracks. It did hurt to say good bye to my trusty old SKS, but I'm such an unfaithful ____ and this AKM is so sexy. My journey started at Karmanovka and went through Svetlojarsk, Berezino (avoiding the PvP at NEAF), Dolina, Staroye, Chernogorsk, Balota, Pavlovo and finally Zelenogorsk. Anyone saying they can find one in 30 minutes must be having lots of luck and is totally discarding their surroundings and taking huge risks.

I've noticed this too, at noon the sun is over me, but slightly north and not south as it should be. Maybe Rocket got it wrong as he's from NZ. Besides that it still raises in the east and sets in the west, just slightly north as if we are on the southern hemisphere in NZ.

This has to be a joke right? So instead of me trying to move as fast and as stealthy as possible through a town you are suggesting I would have some crazy advantage in moving slow in the middle of the street like a zombie? Hey if you think it works go for it, but as soon as this becomes possible no one will trust a zombie walk anymore and just shoot them all if just for the lolz.

I remember playing such a mod on Namalsk that had hardly any food spawns. You literally starved, or had to kill bambies because they had a can of beans in their starter kit. I once ran 5 Km to a place I knew sometimes spawns some beans and when I got there it was empty and I died 5 minutes later of starvation. Another situation I just spawned in and was attacked by another bambie with his hatchet, I said why I have nothing, he laughed and said "for the beans". :lol: Maybe not such a good idea, but maybe there can be food that spawns near the player spawn points or along the coast and gets less the further you go inland. You can also collect apples and berries, so that's another option. One last thing on limited food resources is the problem that those areas will become hot spots for bandits killing bambies and hero's killing bandits and ... well everyone killing everyone ... LOL Guns should be less, sporter rifles and damaged weapons sounds like a good thing.

Besides all the frustration this game will give you (not because of alpha bugs) you just need to hang in there. Those rags you found you can use as bandages when a zombie manages to get a hit on you. Eat all the food and drink all the shizit you can find until you get the stuffed symbol next to your character in the inventory window. Try to find a hatchet or machete as those are the best melee weapons for fighting Z's and look for a helmet (gives you extra protection) and a backpack (more storage room) too. You will find these things most likely in garages and sheds. Head away from the coast, that's riddled with bandits and try to move as stealthy as possible. You can also check the number of players on a server and I would suggest looking for a server that has a decent amount of players ~20 and has some description in the server list. These servers usually have a TeamSpeak channel (they usually display it in the server messages) you can join and ask for tips and maybe assistance. There is only one true statement when you play this game "you will die". Good luck :thumbsup:

I've been trapped under a building and just kept running and jumping until I managed to get out. If all that does not help then leave the game running overnight and sooner or later your character will die of thirst. You could speed that up by sticking something on your running key to keep the character running.

Can you elaborate this vital lesson you are teaching by shooting unarmed players trying to get off the beach? That this is a dangerous and lethal environment? I thought that was clear by just looking at the screenies on Steam, Captain Obvious! Who said I am friendly? Either way you want to play, on the scale from Badass Bandit to Kickass Hero killing fresh spawns is easy, cheap and shows you have no class and no skillz! :lol:

I like the idea of less food! First they should remove all this fruit, specially the Kiwi. Of all the fruits I could imagine being common in eastern Europe the kiwi is the last thing that comes to mind and with some given timeline we arrive in this world it would have all been rotten and eaten by rodents and insects anyhow. So please remove all the fruit, rotten or fresh it takes away the realism and immersion of the game. Replace those fruit items with things more useful, like tools (fishing hooks...) , melee weapons and clothing. Have food spawn near the coast where we spawn, but become more rare the further you go inland. Fresh spawns can still gather berries and apples to prevent them from starving.

First off a big thank you to all the guys that try and help bambies on the coast and hunt little assholes that use bambies as target practice. Secondly if I get shot on the coast as a bambie and this happens twice I assume the server owner is ok with this sort of play style and I'll look for a different server that is more bambie friendly. To the OP, head to the airfields or Berenzino if you want to kill other players. No one will condemn you killing other players, even fresh spawns in such hot zones. Your aim will improve much more killing experienced players that know how or try to dodge your bullets in such hot zones. They are either re-spawns trying to get their gear back or after revenge and make much better and realistic targets.

The core of the DayZ SA is what Rocket envisioned as a survival game with zombies, but wasn't able to achieve to its full potential due to the limitations of having to mod a military/combat simulation game. I've played the mod practically since it came out and have seen the many changes it has undergone, some were ok others just have nothing to do with a zombie invested survival game anymore. So what we have now is back to the roots of the zombie survival game on an engine specifically coded for just that kind of environment. If you play the mod you will notice that all the popular servers are running mods that have tons of vehicles and high powered weapons, as that is what seems to rustle most kids jammies. If you are into those things the DayZ mods provide then I would say, don't bother buying the SA. If you are looking for a slower paced more survival game, then DayZ SA is specifically made for you.

What on earth is "Vaginal-Fear"? :P I remember the first time I started playing DayZ over 2 years ago, after the game just came out and those zombies scared the living death out of me.Now they have become a nuisance and it will take a lot of AI programming to make them scary again for me.There are those moments though we create ourselves that can make them extremely scary again. I suppose that could be said about any horror game you have played over and over again, you get used to those scary moments and learn to deal with it.

Besides giving us a place to call home and set up a camp, it will make paper notes useful. You could leave a message on a note inside a tent. It can be a bad evil note or maybe a friendship offer that turns out to be a trap, who knows, but it would give the game a whole new dynamic. You need to have an empty bottle or water canister in your hand, sneak up behind the cow and get the scroll option "Milk Cow". This will hold the cow in position for the time it takes to collect the Milk. Milk would be high in protein and help you regain health very quick and can be combined well with your Crunchin crisps cereal

Another word for cats used in Germany during WW2 was "Dachhase" (Roofrabbits)! What's for dinner darling? A rabbit I found running on the roof top.

4 Bottles of milk could make a bar of butter ;) Roping the cow and taking it to your base makes you a farmer :P

As I said you can collect it in a water bottle or a water canister and you could mix it in a pan or they could add bowls to eat out of. But being able to mix it was just a separate additional suggestion. It would make it easier for people that have no weapons and just a few survivor tools to get some food/liquid and would give those survivors that don't want to just kill cows for their meat (i.e. vegetarians) an additional option. It would be added to the action options you get, same as when drinking water from a well or lake. So again you need to be holding an empty water bottle in your hand and you get the "Milk Cow" option when you are standing close and looking at the cow.

I use rags to create splints and that works, not sure about the bandages, because I never tried to create splints with them.

Moonshiner Redneck, this is a cow with horns! Most cows are either bred to have very small or no horns (Polled livestock) or are dehorned in the first weeks after birth. Having horns does not mean they are bulls. Now learn how to milk that cow! ... LOL
