Seriously though it probably dropped behind/under the well mesh and you can't select it anymore, just as if it was in the next room.

Deep well.

You are not gonna let go are ya? But I am glad we have come to agree that rain will play a small less significant minuscule factor in damaging clothing.... phew :D

This is not the friggin UK, but a Zombie invested apocalyptic world. You are not walking to the newspaper shop down the street to get a packet of fags, or hoping in your car and driving to Tesco to get some food. A good example of what to expect in such an environment would be to look at a hobo/tramp, who is subject to the weather wearing the same clothes all the time. Another good example would be Ed Stafford, when he did his Amazon expedition, did you notice how quickly his clothing deteriorated after just a few days in the rain forest. For game plays sake this will be time lapsed, to give us the immersion of such an environment.

WarZ (or what it's called now) is games that took so many short cuts I feel sorry for the people that bought into it and even the SOE guys have realized they can't release their buggy game yet. I was watching a vid from SOE's H1Z1 yesterday and that game is so buggy it is unbelievable. If it was just the odd dear standing on a roof ok, but nearly everything is buggy and laggy. Then there are promises, 1000 players on a 450 km² map, currently they are lagging when only a few of the devs are playing on a 64 km² and still can't figure out how to implement picking up used arrows.

Something should be done about damage you can take
TiggyPooh replied to Kal_Zakath's topic in General Discussion
The more items you carry the more damage will be inflicted to your character. (yeah this has been tested and documented by WOBO) Then we have the typical PvP player that doesn't give two f*cks about their character health and run around as if the starving and thirsty messages are just an annoying bug. Just the other day I watch a video were one of the team suddenly just falls unconscious and dies after she had an irregular heart beat. It is not a BUG but intentional that you fall unconscious when your blood is low due to malnutrition, dehydration and injuries. If you don't like this kind of mechanic then go play BF4 or COD. -
Does not exist, right?

The wear and tear of clothing will be increased by the amount of stress it is subjected to. Rain will or should make your clothes deteriorate quicker.

This is going to be fun! Booby Trap that bandit body you just killed and wait for him to come back to get his stuff.

The really weird thing is, we all have an opinion and know nothing, just pure speculations!

I want to spawn on the coast again and have all the other bambies spawn near me! I can't tell you guys how much fun that was in the DayZ mod. Every second spawn I would meet another survivor to team up with and travel together. If we all spawn in the same area there is no other spawn that would make it worth while to suicide for!

OMG... the smell made me go unconscious ... damn you DayZ with all your friggin immersion shite, now survivor underwear can make you pass out!

Dean Hall is not Bohemia Interactive! BI have developed ARMA and this game is constantly being improved and so will DayZ SA, even after Dean leaves. Looking at some of the resent suggestions Dean made I think it's best that he is leaving. After Dean leaves the guys at BI can finally do their job and get the game finished without all his nit picking and nagging about every little detail.

Do you really think you can put that sack on my head after I have widened your mental horizon with this .45?

Dude that is just sick man, you disgust me... get outa here and take your sick mind with ya

Please tell me these rags you are using to bandage my wounds are from a beige t-shirt!

@Chaingunfighter I think less spawn points in a smaller area would stop suicide. Simple reason is there is no reason to kill yourself for a better spawn. I suggested the new town Novo, but my personal favorite would be somewhere near the ship on the coast. Everyone spawns in that area in say a 2-3 km stretch of the beach and then has to get the hell off the beach and start moving inland to get food and gear. This is so simple and so easy to impliment. Sure you will say there will be bandits hunting the fresh spawns and there will be hero's hunting the bandits. That Beach Spawn is so friggin scary, you know the longer you stand around the more likely you are going to die again, so get your ass moving asap off that beach ...

They haven't introduced natural decay or weathering yet (not to my knowledge), but this could be the case in the future. Just like we now see things like the ax becoming ruined when used to chop down trees, we might see food and medical supplies decaying after time. I'm pretty sure we will be seeing clothing wear soon when running around in the rain.
-
You could still try and get a NW spawn by suicide if you try, so I don't think by adding more spawn areas it will eliminate suicides, but increase them. How about the spawn areas are more concentrated in an area with reasonable loot to survive and lots of options to hide and sneak away? Like the new city Novo. If everyone spawned in or near the city then there is no need to suicide. Sure there would/could be a cluster f*ck of KOS going on, but if you move stealthy you can survive and get out.

I had a guy at NWAF offer me some mosin ammo for my underwear. I said you gotta be kidding me, I've had these on for over a week and they are worth at least a LRS.

Why we should embrace "R" to chamber. [Take your time to read please.]
TiggyPooh replied to Pliskinki's topic in Suggestions
Here's my idea and suggestion how this would work, very simple, intuitive and fair. There are essentially 2 ways to reload a weapon. 1 using a quick re-loader, clip or a magazine (SKS, AKM, FNX,..). 2 manually loading bullets into the chamber. Pressing R will either reload a quick re-loader, clip or a magazine if you have those in your inventory. If you don't it will load a single bullet. For the Mosin you can press the R 5 times to reload 5 bullets, double action Blaze you can press R twice, or just once and only load one bullet. Reloading times should be similar as in real life, taking bullet out of pocket, loading putting it into the chamber and cocking the weapon. edit: yeah, I agree reloading magazines should still have to be done in the inventory with the drag and drop. -
Six Upcoming Developments That Will Change DayZ for the Better - Loot Rarity (wait, whaat?)
TiggyPooh replied to darkgritty's topic in General Discussion
Looking at this and to answer your question, I can imagine that if someone was to theoretically gather several NVG's put them in their backpack and then log out for ever those NVG's would be still in the economy, but no one will ever be able to use them. Then I see an ever larger problem with this type of economy. People can gather very rare items such as the NVG's and sell them. I mean literally sell them online for real money. I think this is the worse idea they have come up with yet! -
Seriously, add a restart button, I can't even play DayZ anymore
