how well does the farming work?

Rule sets? seriously? everyone dies a shitload when they first get the game. in my first two hours in the game, i must of died at least six times. it is all about learning. when you play COD or halo, you are not instantly perfect at it. as people have been saying above, try to get onto a low pop server, with maybe 5-10 people, figure out the controls, and try to get a melee weapon, even a hammer will do. then venture into a town. kill a zombie. it will take time and practice, especially cos the zombies are a little broken right now, but you will get there. eventually, you will start to survive long enough to explore the map. find places with lots of loot and get better gear, then you can consider how you play. do you help or avoid people? do you live in cities or stay out of them? really, when you know your way around, gearing up does not take that long, but you will never get to that stage if you do not at least try to get there. this game is better than real life in the fact that death is only temporary, learn from your mistakes and the game becomes great fun, and of they ever put planes in then the sky will be your limit! good luck in Chernarus my friend. message me if you need help, and i am more than happy to supply it! -Helix

i can not say that i am a keen advocate of base building. my idea is boarding up the windows of a house, and barricading the door, but really, i know that it is never going to stop there, so really, base building, go for it, without those virtually indestructible monolith bases that would spring up in the mod...

i cant confirm this, but i am having the same issue. have not found an ammo box since 4.7.

the only way to stop server hopping is to bind individual players to a single server, meaning that they can never change. no one wants this.

there is really no way to stop server hopping. there will always be people jumping from world to world looking for gear, and short of confining people to one server, there is no way to stop it. FYI, it does not really take a long time to get those guns. head to the north west, search it thoroughly, then hit up the two military camps on your way to balota, and i guarantee you will find one, if not both, and a heli crash if you are lucky.

i don't know. i am not a physics person, but isn't hitting the ground spread eagled worse? isn't this exactly how you break all of your ribs and die from internal hemorrhaging and other nasty stuff?

i just stay out of cities. i use the survival elements, until i run out of rags, matches or ammo. i think you would be surprised how many people use the survival side of the game.

so after re spawning in berezino after a firefight at the NWAF, i headed south to electro, but that is no the important bit. when i got to Balota, around 15 min after a server restart, i found the place looted. i was there to find some mags and ammo for my 1911. when i went to the top floor of the ATC, i suddenly got the "you are dead" message, with a "my leg is in pain" messsage at the same time... anyone know what happened? was i sniped from the apartments(doubt it because there was no gunshot)? Glitch? did a zombie hit me from a kilometer away? anyone know so i can avoid this kind of unfortunate demise in the future... Thanks -helix

some random guy from america friended me on steam, and tried to get me to join his clan by offering me hacked M4s. joined, shot him and his mates, and left. he has since blocked me on steam, for "betraying his trust" so yeah, i think the hacking has gotten worse...

THE STORY: i was in zelenogorsk, near the hospital, when my internet went down. when i relogged, onto the same server, i was being swarmed by invisible zombies. from the sound of it, there were at least 3-4. i ran to what i considered the safest building in the town (the police station) and got onto the top floor, closing all the doors behind me. i was a little worried because the crawling zombies can still walk through the walls, but i survived and began feeding up and bandaging. i got hit once and died. i do not know what other people think of this, or if it has even been experienced by the rest of the player base, but i consider this to be game breaking (and more importantly, a pain in the arse) so, has anyone else experienced this because everything I respawn, i am getting mobbed by these demons from hell thanks -helix

i have 40 rounds for my B95 (cos they are so easy to get, and realistically, i am not going to get into a gunfight where i use them all, me or the other guy will die first) and 90 rounds for my magnum. you could put these into an ammo box, but really, i find a protector case is better, cos it can hold other things at the same time, rather than being half empty... but that is jut my 2 cents...

um... yeah how bout no... do you want spawn killers? because this is how you get spawn killers...
