What about the Austin from the austinexperience and his adventures with byze? Alright, he got bored of dayz but when he was posting vids they were brilliant. His videos and blackout's are my favourites.

There was talk of needing to find things to fix them up and get them running. Iirc, rocket said something about helicopter rotor blades for example being limited in number so people would hear rumours about things being on certain servers and then hunt them down. Same as he said about certain bits of gear being limited across every server so guys that have them become figures of renown type thing.

I logged into a server with 15 people the other day for about 30 minutes and met 4 people. One shot at me so I killed him, one was trying to bandit someone in the prison near svet so I killed him and helped the guy he was holding up, the last one shot at me, ran off and tried to combat log so I killed him too. It's usually sods law, if you look for someone they aren't there but the one time you want to be left alone you'll meet everyone. A friend and I played a few weeks ago and were having connection issues and got kicked from a server in the prison in elektro, decided to log into a server with 3 people so we could leave safely and log out in one of the civilian buildings and immediately came under fire in the prison. He killed one but died and I managed to get the other 2 and just survived with ruined gear and broken limbs...

@korpisoturi do you need the mag on regular or hardcore? I found one on my hardcore character near svet but don't have a 1911. Will gladly swap for fnx mag if you have one or even some mosin ammo. -
Lets be honest, they couldn't have added vehicles before now even if they had wanted to because no loot was persistent. Before now even if you'd scoured the server for a vehicle and managed to get it working it would have vanished once it reset. Really don't see what the issue is with vehicles, it's not hard to understand why they weren't already present and the amount of strain they'd be putting on a server which struggles with minimal zombie numbers and 40 players. I'd rather wait for the servers to be slightly more responsive and persistent loot to be fully implemented before they add them.

I've lost three or four shotguns when logging on/off. It's to do with the game sorting your pack I think.

The boar skin one is different to the sack. Looks more like the improvised bag and requires ripe and sticks. 25 slots, makes it same as the taloon (iirc) coloured packs just less noticeable.

Might be able to get a scope for the m4 I've been cradling like a baby since heli sites were first implemented... And some extra mags lol.

Ah ok, I got ya. I thought he meant if you double tapped w to run you'd drop what was in your hands. On a .48 related note, do you know if they have changed the hit boxes on zeds with regards to melee because that's what was putting me off .47. Was quite hard running as a lone wolf if you couldn't melee zombies. Don't mind them being hard (like when you had to aim at heads to quickly despatch them) just as long as my attacks actually register lol. Cheers in advance guys. -

Why can't you sprint with two rifles? Have they changed it so that you automatically put your weapons away when you run or do you mean you now can't pick up a second rifle in your hands? -
I've been rocking the blaze in experimental and it's given me more success than any other weapon I've tried with the exception of the m4 on my regular character. I also prefer it to every other weapon I've found though and passed up upgrading it to akm, mosin, sks etc. Getting a proper hard on for it.

Terror1, you really don't need vehicles at the moment. It doesn't take very long to get around the map on foot. I'm hoping they don't put helicopters and such in. Off topic I'm good with bikes, motorcycles, cars and some trucks but don't want anything else if I'm honest.

I have an amd fx 6350 with 8gb of ram and don't get too many issues with it aside from the usual frame drop in big cities. And the cpu definitely makes more of a difference in this game than GPU. I only say that because I upgraded my computer recently and started with the GPU and got no improvements until the cpu was upgraded a month or so later.

If you were near zelenogorsk why didn't you simply run south to Cherno instead of running all the way east to berezino and then back along the coast?

I know alt and I think shift, but certainly one of the buttons around there, make you drop whatever's in your hands. I've had it happen to me many times in previous patches. Normally with melee weapons as I've been scanning for any zombie agro. Not a new issue bit annoying nonetheless

No they aren't. My regular character has an m4, and has had since the patch before heli crashes was added. I don't dupe/hack but I also don't get into gun fights with every single player I meet. I'm down to about 40 bullets now so it probably won't last much longer, although I've also got a mosin so I can observe areas and potentially eliminate threats before getting in range of my m4. So yeah, there are a lot of people who dupe/hack their gear but that doesn't mean every single player with an m4 is automatically cheating.

Programming is being done though. Nav mesh, new renderer, persistent loot, loot respawn, changing game engine, 64 bit servers.... All of these things require programming teams to work on them. There's little point in putting in vehicles when there is no persistent loot because you'll lose it on server reset. Also little point when the servers are struggling with zombies and players. Far better to optimise server performance (or at least improve it) and start work on persistent items so that the car you've spent 4 hours trying to fix up is still there when the server resets. Rome wasn't built in a day and dayz won't be fully ready in a few months. It's going to be a long, hard slog of bugs, mistakes and glitches before it has all the features added.

Yeah max, far better that they never attempt to add new features and simply leave this as an unfinished game. Not like experimental is where things get tested before being pushed out... You know, like the whole issue with rubber banding from a little while ago. Chin up, it'll get sorted and when it does it'll be a great addition to the game. -

My current character has black cargo pants, riders jacket, black baseball cap and a stab vest. Looks like he's in the swat team lol. Otherwise I like the brown/green hoodies or green raincoat. Nothing too military for me. Usually wear beanie hats or radar caps too. -
Always look both ways before crossing the airfield... In all seriousness I try desperately to keep scanning as I move so that I (hopefully) notice other players. Likewise I carefully observe somewhere, usually from multiple angles before moving in.

How do i tell a glitched weapon and how did it happen?

I've had the same thing happen with my m4. I fell from a building a few weeks ago in berezino and when I got back to my body the m4 had no attachments or anything. I picked it up, re logged and it was all good. Probably what happened in this instance. -
I've only found one longhorn, in the office building north of lopatino (I think). When I logged back in I was a fresh spawn... I'm never picking one of them up again lol, clearly cursed. Never seen an mp5 though (either on players or as loot), although I've started finding more stab vests which is cool

I find that by going prone with my mosin and lrs it is almsost entirely negated. Maybe it's just trying to encourage people to fire from crouched/prone to be more accurate.

I think the whole point is that they were pretty incompetent during the hold up. They couldn't even execute the guy properly at the end, missing the shot from a foot away.
