There was a bug like this a few patches ago on exp where when you logged in your character would immediately become hypothermic and die. Could be an issue with servers not altering the character status until log in or something changes- in this case the fireplace hearing you up causes all the issues to immediately be updated resulting in death. A bit like how your clothing isn't visibly repaired until something changes in the slots only far worse

Is the "shadow" glitch thing has been fixed or not?

Watched a stream the other day where the improvised leather jacket had a similar shadow glitch when damaged (or ruined, not sure which) -
That could explain how I got shot and killed in the atc when there was no way the guys who killed my friend should have been able to spot me... Wasn't sure if it was a wall hack or what, desynch makes more sense.

If the game crashes your character will also keep moving in the direction they were travelling, this will lead to then walking off of cliffs/docks etc. they also ignore walls whilst this is happening.

Yeah my friend tried to suicude by drinking from the fuel can but it didn't even make him sick.

What gun was your first shooting kill with?

mine was with the blaze in Krasnostav. Was looting a building and went to pick up a back pack when a mosin shot whistled past my head. Ran up the stairs and waited and a few minutes later someone ran into my building straight past the bottom of the steps and looked into the street. Quick head shot and I went from very little gear to fully geared. Result. I've had the most kills with the blaze actually (only about 4, I don't kill many people), and although I've played since the early days of SA my old computer was a potato so i couldn't actually make out any details or anything lol. -
Server hopping? Is there a solution? If not, what else....

Problem with an idea like that is you punish people who can't log on at that time because of whatever reason. You'd need several servers that all lock at different times throughout the day to ensure everyone is able to play, that just leads to too many servers to filter through and then not enough open severs for the players to use. Like the idea of centralised time too but I only get to play from about 9 pm and so I'd never see Cherno in the day time, that's a shame for me because it's a lovely environment. -
Cannibalism / Skin & Quarter Issue

It's a bug with this patch, does it on a lot of actions including searching for rocks, making splints, bandaging other players etc. Usually using F11 to go to the suicide pose and then using the scroll wheel to select the option you want is a good way to do it, apparently holding W whilst doing the action works too but haven't tried that. -
With regards to the ak101 at the well, chances are someone was double carrying it and didn't know about the bug where it will appear in your inventory when you drop it but next time you put it down it will teleport to the first place it was dropped. Awful way of me explaining it but I'm sure someone can figure out what I mean

dayz runs better at higher render resolution dafuq

It's to do with the way the game divides the work that needs processing. The higher the settings are then the more of the graphics card is allocated to processing that information. Lower settings use more of the cpu, with the fans already being quite cpu heavy and using 1 or 2 cores it does make a surprising difference -
It's a bug where you can't physically drag them onto the weapon but pressing 'r' still allows them to be loaded. Afaik it has no detrimental pact upon the weapon itself.

Iirc they were going to finish adding in all the new towns and then go back to some of the older ones and alter them and give them some unique buildings... Can't remember where I saw it -
The game will arrange everything in your backpack every time you log in, it can lead to the disappearance of items at times (I've lost three or four sawn offs). Best way to stop it is to ensure that there are no empty slots in your backpack. As for the delay, it's a bug with this patch. Same reason that crafting splints, harvesting meat etc doesn't work all the time. It'll likely get fixed with the next update, like wells were when they didn't work for a patch

I couldn't skin anything a few days ago, like some people here it would start the action and then I'd only be left with the 'cancel current action' option. Apparently if you start and then immediately cancel and then restart again it'll work but I haven't tried.

I've not seen one in the 300 hours or so. There have been times when I haven't been certain about the circumstances in which I died, sometimes I thought I was hidden or had approached an area unseen and then died a short while after, but certainly not seen anything which I can say for certain was a hacker. I don't server hop and I generally play on servers with 30+ people. I don't spend all my time in Cherno/elektro/berezino though, I travel the whole map looting and surviving. Maybe that's why I haven't seen them, but please don't assume anyone who hasn't encountered a hacker is a lying. Only ones I've seen have been on twitch or YouTube. -
I've found stuff like this a few times and every occasion I have taken anything I deem to be useful and moved on, leaving the rest. I didn't dupe it but if I can use it I'm certainly not leaving it behind.

Yeah, you can't paint the full thing because it would require 150% of a can, there's currently no way of part painting something in the game atm

I was freezing and ran through 4 towns searching everywhere for matches. Found a raincoat quite quickly so put that on as it warms you up, well that worked. Got back to a normal temperature, the second I wasn't cold I found a house with 3 boxes in it... Same game logic as needing rags and being unable to find any clothing which can be torn up.

I went to vybor military base yesterday, it had already been looted but I still came away with 200ish rounds of sks ammo (including 4 30 round mags), an ak74 with mag, numerous clips for pistols (ditched most and kept my 1911) and a high cap vest (first one I've owned). Don't often hit military bases but when I do I don't cry if it's been looted already, I'll make do with whatever weapon I've managed to find (usually a blaze or repeater). It's not hard to find guns, there is one specific civilian building which will always spawn a weapon in it (log cabin with yellow front and a single room inside), just check every building, don't rely on only the old favourites to get your gear.

I haven't died from the ladder glitch since I upgraded my Ethernet cable.

As far as I know you need a fuel can (found in sheds and garages a lot of the time) and it is filled up at the petrol stations around the map. Then walk round to the passenger side of the truck and you'll see the fuel cap, when you're close to that an option should come up to fill the truck up. I think it takes four or five can fills for a full tank but I don't know because I've never tried.

It's not on the experimental build as far as I've seen do unless it's a stealth release with no testing it's not happening yet. Probably another couple of patches, maybe first ones to hit experimental around Xmas/january sort of time at the earliest imo -
We are testing out parts of their programming like the path finding and awareness which will then be used in the new generation of zombies when they are implimented. It's like the engine updates, it'll be done in bits rather than a huge overhaul in one go As for vehicles, they couldn't be implemented until persistence was out in otherwise every four hours you'd lose your vehicle.
