Hacks are becoming annoying and it is getting to the point of just waisting time playing. If patches were coming out more often I could see it being "alpha testing" but most everything bugged about a patch is known/found in the first 24-48(tops) hours of its release. I don't think the dev's are even trying to negate the hackers, instead they are relying on BattleEye (a sub par AC that is worse than both VAC and PB) to do this for them.

I kill everyone I see thats not part of the group I play with. Since most are looking to kill us anyways.

Thanks Twin, I did not know this! Much appreciated. I would still like to find a way to be able to do it via rcon for when I get automated restarts setup so that it can send messages to server 15mins, 5 mins, and right at shutdown.

Can't complain that the hacker got you killed. Common sense says if you know theres a hacker in the server, you leave the game and find a new server to play on for a bit. Using the hacked items makes you as gay or gayer than the hacker himself.

I would say do something like this but look at it more like a trained soldier vs a new recruit. - If you can administer bloodbags to others, you can do it on yourself just as easy if not easier. (make a requirement, once you have given other blood bags X amount of times you can then use them on yourself). - Once you have traveled x distance, your sprint becomes slightly faster (as you have conditioned your body). - Once you have reached X days alive, your max blood increases by 2,000. - etc. Things that make sense in a simulator, not just random crap for no reason because it sounds cool. There should be some form of system to make players want to explore away from the coast towns and not to just be a deathmatch game in cherno.

Almost every company offering DayZ servers has horrible support and ticket wait times. Thus why I went with a company that is not offering DayZ servers and just got my own box. Best of luck to you!

Just setup my servers and have had the config file set to "veteran" and "expert". But when I connect it is on regular (with xhair and map location, and all that junk). Also I did not see any options to edit for chat on/off, 3DP on/off, or time zone other than those in the server name (is it just set by server name somehow)? Anyone have any ideas? US 355 & US 356

If you die at any point you should consider downloading this and jumping on any servers running it to help test as you will have nothing to lose.

Will look into this, I had found that file once before and it had all the difficulties listed in the file, i changed all of them to match what I wanted expert to be but they still revert back to stock. I can't seem to find the file again that contained the code similar to what you linked above. Also for some reason I am having issues with rcon and not being able to send admin messages to the server (for restarts etc)...

Before purchasing from any company, ut in a support ticket at that company to gague their level of support. Most companies seem to be taking weeks to respond to tickets, which is why I went with a dedicated box and just setup my own servers. Also companies are likely overloading the boxes with more servers than the hardware can actually handle, causing laggy (dsync) servers and gameplay.

Most people tend to try to get ahold of support prior to ordering servers to be sure that the level of support on staff is sufficient. When I was looking to order my dedicated server box I went through about 10 companies and only 2 of them replied to my tickets within a weeks time. Helps narrow down what company to buy servers from greatly.

Still unable to get this issue fixed. Replies on tickets are vague or link to old information. What files need to be edited to get the server to properly start the mission in expert? Currently I have the cfg file with the mission file and server name also set to "expert" but it launches in regular mode. I even tried changing the settings file for the difficulties so that ALL difficulties are the same settings as experts. Nothing is working... Everyone in our squad who had cammo/ghilli's is now in civi's again :( Sad day!

I submitted applications for 2 servers to both be run on the same box, however I also submitted them as 2 separate IP's. When launching the server that runs the default IP it runs geat and all players easily connect to it. But once i launch the second server with the different ip in the .bat file it shows in the server list, but joining it "fails to connect". Is anyone else out there running multiple DayZ servers on the same box with different IP's if so. How is this done? Thanks!

Well my second server is registered to a totally different IP, however if I set it to said IP players are unable to connect but it shows up in the server list. So I changed the IP to the same as 356 and just changed the port. Will be putting a ticket in to get 355 IP changed to the same IP as 356. I filed for the servers before knowing that arma2 servers could not be assigned IP's like other games. ALSO: For some reason both servers are in regular mode instead of expert (its set as expert in server name and in the bottom of the config). I have rebooted the servers several times but it wont go out of regular. I was given the IRC channel for admins but no password....

No, different ports. Im pretty sure the 2nd server is running on the same IP as the first but with a different port. (2303 instead of 2302). I was told that ArmA2 does not have the ability to assign IP's like other games do.

@Black Flash - got any english links to those same files? The file provided in the email will not install, just gives error and stops before it can even start.

$20 bucks? If that's all you paid for a server you have lost nothing. I am paying $160/mo on a reduced rate via a 1 year contract term for my box to run DayZ servers. And I can't get it to work lol.

Not seeing anything in the RPT that gives any clues as to what it could be.

Having the same problem at the moment after following the emailed instructions. Everything looks good up until I connect, then it just sits at wait for host and spams read from bank.
