So funny seeing people against military items in this game when they fail to realize that most people including them would gather as much military loot as they could if a situation like this ever occurred in the world, and not even zombie apocalypse either i mean any sort of world ending or major government shut down because lets face it military items are key in most survival. back on topic though a gillie suit would be nice to have as long as its only craft able and not just found. Also to the "welcome to Arma 4" people i know a hundred non-military people who own gillies for hunting or if shit goes down or hell even for fun ... its not uncommon in civilian life at all so please quite down your slander is not needed here ... go find the post about nukes and flying warships that shoot lasers out of their ass to talk down on.

Yes if people decide this post can be moved to the Virtual Paper Doll suggestion. My idea is simple and realistic yet we havent scene it or had word of it yet and when i look i see people touching up on the ideas i have but nothing exactly like mine so here it goes. 1- Bandannas can be used as optional face masks, get that true bandit feel from things. 2- An undershirt slot but not like most people have mentioned as in our basic undershirt can be removed to be shirtless, I mean as in some shirts can be worn under jackets like sweatshirts, turtle necks (if added), and just basic shirts. Later this could help with temp as in more cloths means warmth or too many cloths means over heat, also if people feel it would be too OP for loot slots then maybe the undershirt can act as an attachment and have no slots. 3- Some vests like the tactical vest should have a pistol slot on them that acts like the pistol sling and shows the pistol on it, or at least have the option to add a holster to the vest if you can find it. 4- finger less and full fingered tactical gloves as well as wool gloves and snow gloves. More gloves in general lol. 5- Lets face it some jackets should be able to be worn open and could switch in the inventory via right click like turning on flash light or inspecting something, later if figured out a way could also help with warmth and cold. Example is wind or rain, while the jacket is open your temperature will drop in these conditions also you'd be more exposed to the rain and get soaked easily. 6- Last is some graphic tee's ... tee shirts are boring and need some flare and plus it could go with the open jackets to show off our goods lol purely cosmetic and no use besides giving you more ways to be you in DayZ. P.S I almost forgot muscle and tank tops for those players who want to expose their arms under their tactical vests lol. but should also be a starting character model as well to choose from later on. easy fix for server hopping: non-persistent character locations.

My god people voice your opinions don't harsh on the man for coming up with an idea that he believes would work, its a suggestion forum for a reason. Anyways before I write a paragraph on how people suck I would like to voice my opinion. Spawning on the coast when you log into a server is not going to happen it would cause too many more issues then it would fix, if anything switching to another server for the first time is one thing as long as the server has on memory where you last played that way the whole group thing is solved as long as you have played the server before, kinda like the mod in how you jump between servers but each saved a different spot depending on where you left your character only now you'd start the server with all gear you had unless of course you died then switching to another server would just spawn as a fresh spawn. Now the issue with that is if in server 1 you did die and tried to log into server 2 how would it act, would you still be in the same spot with no gear? or would server 2 act as if you died as well. Programming this could be an issue so i doubt even my idea would work. Other option i saw was all servers having separate memory's exactly like the mod but this is kinda irritating to me in the fact that I hunt my loot for a reason, if my server is full i'd hate to have to start over as a fresh spawn in a new server, I'd much rather be spawned again with my gear but in a random zone like i stated before unless i played the server before then I'd just take over where i left off in that server. Now my Idea to this suggestion is to move the character a small distance away from where they last logged, nothing too far just maybe a few feet or maybe just a few yards away. This will solve the issue that when boarding houses are a thing you cant just log off outside a "base", go to a different server and walk in the house that the base is on the other server only to log back in to the original smack dab in the middle. This granted is not an issue right now since we have no claim to houses but soon it will be when people "Ghost" through someones base. Honestly an answer needs to be found before this so we can just aviod the conflict before it even happens and I hope the DEV's will read through this to help decide what to do but i will say this now my idea isn't perfect and i can see here that no ones is because either way someone will disagree with what we say but hopefully these help a bit. -
I like but lose the golf bag because there are no gold courses ... at least yet that i know of ... instead just make a gun bag, a single weapon carrier with 2 or 3 spots for ammo that could be used as a back pack if someone didnt have a second primary in there, other then fitting a weapon it would be a small back pack to use until you found another weapon. Also there could be many different gun bags as in size, camo and military or civilian bags, some could fit a rifle like the mosin or other snipers when introduced while others could be used for smaller sub machine guns. Your base idea though is perfect because you saw the immersion and made an idea that in my opinion just makes sense plus who knows maybe there will be a gold course and your golf bag would be a thing lol ;)

I get where you are coming from with the whole locked to one character and have 4 others that can't trade between but what most people on here have said is the honest truth, its not an idea to be used because of the fact that players will lose the fear and the true point to the survival game aspect. Granted small gear later can be stored in tents but storing items on your character just to move to another character in the same server really ruins the game because like people said everyone will have their OP character and then just yolo it with the others turning bandits into "Idon't care if I die" bandits which sure some already are but at least now some true bandits who kill to gain gear not just be dicks are afraid to stick their necks out unless given the chance to strike, Incorporate this feature and you lose that factor in the game, fear will be lost and KOS will be all time high because no one will care. (Not trying to be a dick just voicing my opinion)

I don't agree with this honestly, I see no point since like most people said players will already be doing so. NPC bandits that ambush you with melee weapons and maybe some weak broken hand gun are something else even though I'm sure even that won't happen but the moment you put a NPC in a heli dumb shit happens, sure they don't always kill you but theres already going to be so much to look out for and not to mention im sure they will glitch somehow, i believe someone already stated the sight through walls and long range sniper assault rifles they have. Just personally i hope to never see this, now maybe on some private servers this could happen but standard shouldn't.

all good ideas i just don't like a team carry option i mean think about how it would be to do that, would one person lose control of his player and have the other one lead or would it just be if one went to far in a different direction they would just drop the box on the ground ... one person should be able to carry but only be able to walk and they should never be too big maybe something for 2 weapons and some ammo. Other then that i like the post and see some potential options that i would hope to see soon. -
Agreed and Agreed. This idea makes sense, is immersive and yes it should take time to grab a back pack into hands and should also effect speed, I feel though you should still be able to run but at a jogging pace and slightly reduced then normal jog speed.

i like the idea it actually seems fun to have, like while in hands you would have to walk while carrying it and its perfect for "drug cartel" or "special package" role playing for those certain players. Although it is very possible to wear a duffle bag as a back pack as scene in the picture above my post and i have in fact done so when i was trying to join the army 2 years ago so i feel if you have no back pack this could be used as a medium sized back pack and later used as a portable storage when its a thing in the game. Love it though and give you Kudo's and beans.

civilian helicopters have already been talked about and maybe military transport helicopters with out guns i would hope, but either way im sure there will be helicopters no matter what but it will take for ever to build up.

honestly im on the tactical sides of things with no marker above head. I like the idea of rags or something to help identify but honestly using voiced commands and recognition is the most immersive way and seperates the true survival player apart from the straight run out and gun someone to death players. -
With NEAF being changed why not consider some ideas for Balota?

I have to agree with Overdosed on this I mean the masks are just flat out dumb, if you want to hide your face use a balaclava like the rest of Russia and Russian bi products. Skirts are only useful to make your female characters "cute" but lets face it they have no place in survival honestly, think about it, its cold out and your trying to wear a skirt not to mention in real life skirts would just get caught on everything you ran by and make escaping enemies a pain to do. Granted this game is hard to incorporate certain aspects like the skirts getting caught but still its just logic. As he said this isn't Sims this is Dayz and its live or die not dress up and look pretty. Oh and I still say F*** the ninja outfit. Just sayin. -

normally I don't agree with changing the air fields but you do make an excellent point on making it a harbor rather then a airfield. Although the airfield should still be a heli landing zone because even harbors have a landing zones near them that aren't just on the ships but definitely change it from a big air field because honestly NW is big enough for the entire land scape lol. Oh and we need a civilian airport at NW, just sayin lol. -
suposedly though there should be a weather system that actually affects and changes the map accordingly or at least its rumored to happen so if they can make it to snow then most of the map will look like this every now and then which would be cool but i still prefer a permanent area like this.

I simply like it! Ive always been one for snowy weather in games and love the seclusion of it as well as the survival aspect in games. Almost every idea you suggested is perfect except for lack of game, I lived in a mountain area that would snow pretty much like you see and let me tell you there was plenty of game to be had in those parts. I like the challenge aspect but I don't believe it should be too challenging provided you have warm gear and plenty of food and drink, certainly it will be a huge change to gameplay and I can see people having a hard time surviving but no area should be overly challenging since there are so many things to already watch for. Yet perfect idea I really hope the DEV's take a look and consider!

Military hydration pack / Leg holster / Military bulletproof vest

Yes i know its been posted before but not with my fashion, which is a thing look it up lol. Anyways I feel caves/ mines would be a cool thing because lets face it they are a thing and they are useful. Caves would make it to where flash lights and head torches are even useful in 24/7 day servers and would make perfect apocalypse hide outs for bandits or just every day curious survivors. Now i believe they should have multiple entries so you cant just board up an entrance and bottle neck the competition but if your smart you'd find all entrances and block them off, a perfect base. Basically just one more option to base building then having to choose an existing house or if Mr. Hall decides it building a base from scratch in the wilderness. Its fun, it has immersion, and its challenging to attack if your dumb enough to raid a cave base. Also if decided upon loot could be available as in mining axes, workers helmets and maybe even dynamite if its added. Let me know what you think and as always add ideas to expand upon this idea, my ideas are your ideas as well so lets work together to make every option available to our never ending suggestions forum ;)

you do know i never mentioned mining at all ... the dynamite is just another explosive device players can us that could be found in mines, i don't want to be able to expand caves at all

Rocket discusses Smoking and Cigarettes in Day Z

Smoking has its ups and downs and honestly fits perfectly to a end world scenario, sure i doubt they will actually be used for currency unless people in a server set up there own trading camp but that will only be a few servers that i personally won't be on. Smoking does help with shock and helps to calm nerves when shell shocked or injured thats why a lot of medics still today carry a pack to use on patients. Down sides though it does affect stamina and can bring shortness of breath (obviously). Now asides all my facts of smoking i can agree with dayz using this because lets face it every nation in the world has cigarettes and a major chunk of people from each country smoke so you would find cigs every where you looked almost, now that shouldn't be the case in dayz they should be harder to find but i can see medical uses for them as well as the ability to get addicted to where your character will want a cig every so often making it hard to focus or aim. Just my input on this subject as a smoker honestly but i do hope to see this in the game later on. -

I feel we should be able to relax on couches and chairs in the game for a boost to our energy when its introduced and if its introduced. Might make some good family pictures for our Christmas cards ;)

I was watching some game play on Forest and that sort of base building is awesome, so much immersion with it and simple too it looks like ... might have to be tweaked a bit for Dayz but i could see it being used and majorly useful.
