See the lack of moderator on top of your pic makes me not want to pay attention to your posts telling people what to do. Secondly If i wanted someone to add my idea to their post I'd post it in theirs but matter of the fact is my Idea's are my own and I'd like to personally have people tell me what they think of MY IDEA, not some mass post where one guy tries to take credit from others. So next time you post in one of my topics just don't because your just wasting my posting space for people who actually want to tell me what they think. Thanks and have a nice day ... ;)

Amen to that brother! One of the most sold games and hasn't even hit Beta yet lol blows my mind every time ... but Takistan would be an amazing area, personally though I'd be north in the snow map (Call me King Of The North!!!)

Give me my Harley and let me ride Like this: Or This:

I agree with Owen on this (seems to happen a lot eh mate ;D) Namalsk was an awesome map minus the EMP storms, I know some really liked it and may think I'm a whimp because I don't like them but I just feel that Dayz will already have too much challenges to face asides EMP storms ... like snow storms and such like that ... none the less I think The map we have now is great but like Owen stated it would be awesome to have additions to our already beloved Chernarus.

I'm with Owen on this one lol (see 2nd post) -
Would love to hear these in everyday DayZ, would give that certain edge to things and would help with tracking in certain circumstances.

Forest stations otherwise known as "Ranger" stations

Red Star Station ;) I like the sounds of that lol. Honestly I never thought of that working for navigation but you sir solved the riddle so to speak lol. -
Forest stations otherwise known as "Ranger" stations
Redstar Payne replied to Redstar Payne's topic in Suggestions
I doubt they will expand the map too far but i heard they want more mountain areas with winter like weather so when temp is introduced it would make an additional challenge. Granted the new cities are taking up a lot of the forest but theres still plenty of area where it stretches for miles of in game distance with nothing but trees and it would be cool to run into some sort of building here and there weather it be an abandoned cabin or a Ranger station just in the middle of no where with some off road trails to hint where it is, kind of detached from the rest of the world and all its bandit problems lol -
3 things that would change dayz for the better
Redstar Payne replied to d.walker43's topic in Suggestions
This whole radio thing can be solved with the simple input of a HAM radio, they were popular back in the day and still are for some areas. We have a forest station near my home town that uses this to contact other stations in the area, think of a Scanner and a CB put into one with some more juice. Its something that could be added easily I'm sure and wouldn't break reality for this game because well it is real =P Here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amateur_radio The wiki site kinda explains things better then i could lol -
well i simply have to say you nailed it! I love the idea simply because its so basic and immerse it would add so much to a survival game like this and add hours of gameplay for me generally because i like to have awesome camp sites lol. Beans Mate!!!

sadly i would love to have this lol ... doubt it will happen but hey can always dream right ;)

So I was taking a look at the Smersh Vest and it kinda rang a bell to me that for some reason i never though of this before, and I looked didn't see any posts that touched up on this. So I think that the military vests should come with attachment option for ammo pouch, medical pouch and so on and so on. They would kinda work how the already existing medic bags and ammo cans are in the sense that only medical equipment can be used in the medic bag, for instance with a clip pouch you can place 3 clips in for storage or medic pouch can completely replace the medical bag only it would come with 2 less slots or something of that matter. Just kind of a though and again if anyone already thought of I'm not here to steal your thunder ;) P.S - also thought I'd say maybe an option that vests come bare with like 4 slots and each pouch adds another 4. This one I'm sure most people would argue but hey I might as well throw it out there too.

the belt idea would be pretty sweet! would let the military buffs keep to their style as well as the civilian style players to be well civilian lol

Add weapon slings and get rid of weapon slots

So you played those games in alpha? I highly doubt you did ... yes we've all heard the alpha excuses many times but that's just it nothing is solid yet so this idea could actually make sense for those 3rd person standard players. The developers want a realistic survival zombie simulator and this guy has a decent idea for standard servers to add to that realism, seriously next time your holding your weapon IRL try throwing it over your shoulder with out a sling and see what happens, 100 bucks says it falls to the ground =P ... Its simply immersion in the game and adds to the feel that you are actually simulating your own survival. Also saying it adds one more step just tells me you whine about every simple feature in this game if it doesn't go your way or if it takes a little time, I'm pretty sure there would be multiple ways of finding or making a sling so yeah in the begging its going to be rough like it always should be but this is such a simple addition to getting a gun on your back it makes me laugh that your so against it ... but my bad with misreading your post and saying engine instead of interface, simple mistake but don't try to sound bad ass because you think your good just because you play hardcore servers because honestly you do sound like a noob to me because you talk all this shit about a game that hasn't even hit beta and expect it to run like it was released yesterday (just my opinion don't get too butt hurt) -
i think he meant the "you are dead" screen
-
wouldn't be bad to display those somewhere on that screen to see how you did in that life so I'm all for it as long as I get to keep the "you are dead" message. Lets face it that thing pisses you off but it makes you try harder to not see it again lol.

Possibly map notes unique to the individual map?
Redstar Payne replied to VoltySquirrel's topic in Suggestions
A lot of us do memorize the map because we've either played a lot or just naturally good with navigation so to speak but still I do like the idea of using an in game pen to mark specific areas i find or to plan raids on a town if playing a bandit and have enough people to raid lol. Honestly if i did that with a print out map I'd have to have 50 of the little F***ers laying around and I haven't scene an online map that lets you mark things like that, plus I feel using an in game map just feels more natural sometimes. -
I'm not going to say your dumb or a kid or that you don't know how to play DayZ but i will say I agree with the majority in the fact that most of the time you won't know what killed you (speaking in manor of game), its a complete mystery sometimes and it will just happen. Personally I like to think "Wow, I must have done something to lead to my death ... oh well learn and adapt." So no I feel the screen should not go away, your eyes will see nothing beyond the grave but black (deep i know ;D lol )

I'm sorry i just find this funny to read because i really want to know what game you played in the 90's that had a better engine then this and why I never heard about it. Simply put from this of course you yourself can do more then your game character can IRL, hell I've held my M4 by the sling with my teeth just trying to open something on the go but I don't for see that ever happening in a game because well lets just face it not a very bright way to hold your weapon. Either way I find it easier to quickly kneel down placing my weapon flat on the ground to bandage or eat something, granted I myself would then proceed to pick my weapon up after i was finished but the game hasn't added that (honestly don't know if it will) which brings me to my feature suggestion of the post ... I myself love the sling idea because lets face it I can't just put a weapon on my back IRL and have it float there, so this idea just makes sense to me also i feel the fact of having to carry your weapon in your hands without one is just realistic. Now what i hope to see is like someone mentioned smoother animations so there is no issue picking a weapon back off the ground and i also hope to see a feature that will pull the weapon back to your hands after you "used" something from your inventory. Other then that I'm all for this idea and hope to see it made soon! -
been suggested a few times and so far sounds like its a for sure thing going in but not till way later i presume. Also i believe it will have some sort of boost as well as a draw back to play with so its something i might see me using in certain situations, plus i smoke irl so might as well with my character lol =P

Honestly im not against this idea as long as a majority are craft able i mean nothing says survival more then making your own bomb and traps lol. Some though should be found in military condition but as very rare, like once in a blue moon stage. Also they should take up a bit of space but nothing too overkill.
