I like traveling to travel around Chernarus, helping players that need it, also removing some bandits... You may think i'm a Hero, not really... I only help those in need, but i won't think twice before shooting...
  1. I just talked to a few friends about how we died the first time in DayZ, i found this conversation quite entertaining. So i'm wondering, is there anyone on the forums willing to share their experiences about how they died the first time? Was it a bandit? A ladder? Bleeding Out? Or just accidental consumption of rotten food/disinfectant? Before i wait for people to reply, here's my story: I spawned on the coast, somewhere near Kamyshovo. Me having no experience in DayZ outside watching some Youtube videos. I first decided to loot some houses for basic food, clothing and maybe a weapon. I didn't find much outside of rotten food, but i did find some canned tuna which i immidiately ate, a few minutes later i found a hoodie, which even though was damaged, it felt like victory for me to find something. I proceeded to go in land and ended up in Staroye, where i found a basic backpack and a fireaxe, and to "show off" my trophy, i decided to go and kill the first zombie i see. But you know, at that point i barely even got used to the controls, so i made it out alive with enough blood in me to fill 3-4 glasses. In a house nearby i found some rags on a dead player, patched myself up, took his can of beans :beans:  and headed to Guglovo. Meanwhile when i was looting for a gun or something, i saw a group of well-armed players coming from the west, possibly Novy Sobor. My instinct told me i should get out of there as fast as possible, of course, before i even realised; I was sent back to the coast after a swift gunshot blowing my brains out... :o So... How did you die at first? :D

    Suicide Option?

Isn't that already in the game?
  3. People seem to want to have "civilian" weapons in the game, which makes sense... Maybe adding a Glock 17/19 to the game wouldn't be such a bad idea, it's used by police all over the world. Also bonus points since there was a Glock in the mod already :P Btw this is a pic from a mod to Arma 3, if you didn't notice already...

Is character movement too responsive ?

Yeah, some sort of weight systen would be nice... But they should definitely fix the zombie pathfinding first... We could try to get people to support the idea...

Let perma death be perma death

I think you should be able to loot your own body. Yeah i know it breaks immersion, makes no sense whatsoever or makes people quickly get good stuff after respawn (if they had some) But come on, you should be able to loot it, we can just think that the "previous you" () was like... i dunno... another person, that would be a totally logical explanation for it... That's just my opinion though. :D

    Suicide Option?

Players can break legs because of glitches and fall through the map, in these scenarios there should be a possibility to suicide IMO, because waiting for yourself to die seems stupid then. Hey, maybe they could add like a daily limit for how many times a player can suicide? Like, 4-5 Suicides for each player? That would make sense if you ask me...

It's just a game, it's not supposed to be realistic, a lot of things in it are tho, because it's on the ARMA engine (which is a realistic game, kinda) Though i kinda get your point, people sprint too much, the devs should add some sort of stamina... And if there is, make it more important.
