    As far as you can consider an invisible camera floating behind your back "natural"... Though I think it might be a good way to avoid confusion about which areas you have vision on. I really would like something like this in game as by preventing peeking it would make third person servers playable in PvP situations. Still if you want it natural or immersive you should play first person only.

    So basically a world container for written notes that keeps them persistent? I like it! Again I would like to advocate drawing on paper - to allow for some illustrations. The added options definitely outweight any negatives.

    The iron curtain surely does reduce the chances of finding Garands but it doesn't mean its an unlikely weapon. Maybe its popular in Chernarus and civilians bought quite a number of them as hunting/sporting weapon after the Soviet Union collapsed? An argument that might not fit the M1 Thompson (but the M1903 Springfield). The .30-06 round is a bigger issue here as it significantly changes the dynamics by introducing another strain of full power rifles. SVT and Mosin compete over the same ammunition but the M1 Grarand does not. Also .30-06 would either take up spawns from other types of ammo or cause ammo to be more prevalent. Now this cartridge would work as a hunting round (I believe it might also fit the Blaze 95) so there is potential. The M1 Carbine on the other side uses very specific ammo - which is much worse in gameplay terms and allows for a few odd weapons that don't really fit.

    You can check another players pulse of you get close and "use" him (F). Then his name shows up. Also works with other actions like bandaging.

    Its not racism though... And certain outfits tend to come with certain attitudes. Not always, but often. Bandana masks don't seem to indicate a certain playstyle in my experience. The brighter the higher the chance of being social I guess. Also at some point I dropped some loot for a freshspawn including a bandana mask. He passed on it because "he wasn't into banditry" so maybe not wearing one is a good sign as well.

    Sandbox, "innovative" or "Undeveloped"

    Really depends on the size of your sandbox. Not having to worry that much about story, quests, dialogues, Human AI etc. opens up a lot of resources for other things. Mainly providing options, things to do and to explore, crafting options, roleplay hooks, cooperative goals, and complex in depth game mechanics. Giving the players many options while also looking after the overall dynamics is hardly lazy but rather innovative in that you do not force players into something but rather provide a framework and let them do their stuff. Though to be fair DayZ is not innovative because its supposed to be a sandbox (Minecraft was there before). The innovation here is to scrap gamification and bring back the concept of an unforgiving game that does not hold your hand and does not tell you how to play. Whether the game turns out "un(der)developed" depends on the eventual size of the sandbox. If it has noticable less features, options and mechanics than a comparable game with storylines and dialogue (take Skyrim as reference) then it is. If it has significantly more depth then it is not. Also things like animations and animal AI (zombies may stay dumb) are still important. In the end it depends on the way its implemented and the complexicity involved.

    Some kind of characte generator would actually help with clipping as different elements would be decoupled. Instead of having one monolythic head you would have several different features - hair could be replaced with a "no clip" version when wearing a hat or helmet (either by removing or changing the form of the bun). Nose, jaw and ears can be handled simular when hidden anyways and things like eyes, brows, (short )beards, skin and hair color would not cause any clipping. Now the mask is supposed to be functional in some way so I think they will also fix the helmet/mask clipping at some point.

    Poisoning water supplies

    Unless you would make getting poison a nontrivial task. Something like getting resources (chemicals, fruits, mushrooms), extracting and concentrating the poison before it ready to use. Poisons you get this way should have multiple uses: poison water supplies (as the OP wrote this should only stick for a limited time)poison food and drinks (for bad samaritans and people who are getting robbed)poison arrows, bolts and melee weapons (lets fight dirty)consumeNow not all poisons should be lethal on their own - there might be different effects: paralysisenergy/water drainblood/tissue damageweakening/vomitingbody tempertaure rise/drophallucinations/vision impaimentpainimpaired movement...So survivors who come into contact with poisons should have a chance to survive depending on dose and help available.

    Fair enough - no reason to deny it to others though. Giving people options is a good thing - as is people going full fanatic ingame (!) and trying to restrict others options. Because when killing others is allowed why should it be impossible to draw the hate of certain people by running around in a pink miniskirt wielding a "Muddy Girl Camo" rifle? Immersion? No - as long as the items have realistic properties* they won't break immersion. The Chernarus survivors are not a regiment of soldiers, remember! In fact everyone wearing military equipment and spraypaint only being available in camo colors (or usage being restriced according to color) is breaking immersion. *There is a reason military units don't use pink miniskirts and brightly colored weapons. Again: The Chernarus survivors are not a regiment of soldiers!

    Snipers

    Game =/= "must be easymode". I hope people will understand this some day after the industry somehow (sadly) managed to promote this idea. Sniping being hard would really help the gameplay as it makes sniping more fun (more challenging and rewarding) and more fun to play against (lower chance of getting killed from afar and even lower chance of your killer being a little kid). This goes on to other gameplay elements - the game is supposed to be hard, thats the beauty about it.

    AKM drum mag rebalance

    What is sad is that a topic about "rebalance" starts with: That being said I would like an RPD - but if thats what you want to write about, please rename your topic because its missleading. I propose keeping the AKM drum mag but actually rebalancing it (something I hoped this topic was about but I was disappointed): make it very raremake it heavy:increased weapon sway in non-bipod stancedecreased dexterity making it harder toi use in close combatincreased weight might affect movement, stamina etc.make it less reliable by having a higher chance of causing a jam (depending on weapon/magazine condition)make it cause more noise than the box magazinesA similar kind of pro/con collection should be used for other magazines and attachments as well, giving more options instead for straight upgrades. This way the AKM with drum magazine would not be a straight upgrade over the AKM with box magazine but rather an AKM that tends towards an LMG without quite reaching the performance and still retaining some of its assault rifle advantages but not all of them.

    Maybe - though it might have more effect on players who do not KoS in the first place. However, recognition would also extend to corpses with all the implications. Thats actually a pretty stupid argument. You could just hide any feature that might clip (hair, ears nose) when it makes sense (e.g. a ponytail does not show when wearing a helmet). While it might be cool to have any face or head shaping your headwear (especially things like Face Masks or Balaclavas) slightly different it will probably never happen - which is fine. For body types (which includes different heights) its a little more involved as clothing has to be remodeled - but here you don't need to add many. Leave this to the faces. I think having a wide variety of faces is just as important as having vehicles or base building.

    I do not think that I can "demand" anything. But I hope there will be some prototypes this year and I am also convinced that a satisfying implementation needs to be added before beta.

    Height has some gameplay implications and as it is something chosen at spawn its less affected by game dynamics. This means different body sizes would need to be balanced against each other - or people would just pick the best one. Thats why I would rather like to see different body shapes that have about the same hitbox but feature different proportions. As for size smaller players have a smaller hitbox but in turn bigger players might run a little faster and have a higher range for interaction (picking up, search, melee etc.). Also smaller ones might need less food but are also more vulnerable to poison and sickness. We don't have to face whats simply not true. Sure if you want to play DayZ as a deathmatch game you won't need it but others will find it useful. Customization allows for recognition which in turn has many possible applicatons. Also I am pretty sure that there are also players interested in looks. To see your character in 1st person press Tab. Would be nice if you could also see your stance/movement there.

    What really bugs me about the OP: Yeah of course - other features are bad because the feature you need (no matter how justified) is not there yet. How dare they adding different stuff and even having people not working on this specific issue! "Mimimi - devs are working on X while they all should work on Y because I need it." - so annoying. Not sure if I misunderstand but are you complaining about dying a lot even if you are admin? Or are you complaining about other people being able to join your server and kill you when you want to play alone or only with clanmates? "Mimimi - I die alot and must complain about it on the forums." - so annoying. Nobody forced you to pay the money. You were told its an Alpha you were told the hosting rules and you decided to roll with it. Now you complain about bugs and hacker emntioning money. Ever thought about giving constructive feedback trying to figure out what is happening? Ever thought about contacting support or looking for a fix? No because apparently your money is supposed to buy those things away... "Mimimi - I am a paying customer and you must do as I command." - so annoying. Mate, you are on a fucking public hive - you can't password that server because then you could turn that server into your clans personal looting and hoarding grounds. This would mess up any game dynamics - server hoppers are bad enough. If they allow for provate shards you might get one and play without being able to fuck with others while having a safe haven for yourself. "Mimimi - I don't understand something so it must be stupid." - so annoying. or even "Mimimi - I am not allowed to abuse my powers to get an advantage." - not only annoying, but also a major prick. "Mimimi - I will repeat my clueless first argument to make it absolutely clear that I have no idea how things work - but I paid so I am the boss." - so annyoing!

    Spawn near your Friends (realistic)

    The video sums it up pretty nicely - the best thing about DayZ is that it is not like the other games. Anti-frustration can turn into anti-fun and there are tons of easy games out there. That doesn't mean the game should be unplayable for casuals - but they might need some friends and can't expect the same level of rewards as people who put in a lot of effort. Thankfully as nobody tells you how to play (aside from not cheating of course) you can still have fun.

    Sometimes fun is about overcoming challenges and not about seeing that "You win!" line. That "anti-game" thing is bs - its a game that is supposed to be hard. Still a game. Because "game" does not mean "easily beatable and highly simplified". Its a game because its outcome has most likely no effect on your real life (at least I hope so) or humanity as a whole. However in a game that is about overcoming hardships and obstacles a feature where you can teleport to your friends is a way of cheating - groups already have it easier. Meeting up with friends is also part of the game and another challenge to master. Its made easier by not splitting once you met or having some meeting points if you do. And when you die? Well... friends sitting at your corpse and you running back? No! Nothing wrong with preserving that gear. The issue is running back - you simply should not respawn anywhere near that spot. And if you want to be part of the group again and get your stuff back - better work for it. Because its a game where its less about being in a certain state but about getting there. The fun comes from the challenge and finally beating it (or failing spectacularly) and getting your reward. Now back to spawning with friends: If its not a teleport it might work. Which means spawning with friends as freshspawns at the coast. Any "already existing" buddy would have to meet you though. As would any buddy joining later. No need for separate group spawn areas.

    The risk of abuse is high though. I think its bad if someone who just got killed would spawn anywhere near his friends - more the other way around I would like them to respawn as far as possible from their corpse and any kind of storage (storage should be storgae and not linked to any specific player so "your storage" makes no sense in terms of respawn mechanics). Other than this you could just stick together and try not to get killed (its a game about survival after all). I can see a group of players banding together to respawn together though. So if you got killed (or have no survivor on this shard/hive/server/whatever) and your buddy as well you could select an option to join at the same place as freshspawns - and only as freshspawns. So as long as nobody runs away you save yourself the work of meeting up - unless you die of course. And then there is that "cure" idea - after a lot of work you might get an extremely rare medical item (cannot be found only crafted) that can cure a single zombie allowing for one player to join in this place. This would be a lategame feature and extremely involved (both getting and applying).

    Water from rain

    I agree - maybe they should also reduce the number of wells (semi-random) and make other water sources (including rain and barrels) a little higher risk by introducing more kinds of sickness. Also the ability to poison barrels would be interesting - might require some work to get the poison though.

    This logic is flawed. Its not like you are required to get everywhere. In fact its better if travel takes some time - the beauty of a big map is that there is a lot to explore and that you won't get everywhere in no time. If you are with friends there is also the challenge of meeting up in the first place - which also adds some value to "staying alive". Now I think map size and player count should correlate to provide the right amount of interaction (both friendly and hostile) - and the current map might end up too big for 40 players when they tone down the movement to normal. Vehicles won't change too much because most players won't have one most of the time so they mostly affect maximum travel speed (and average travel speed would probably a little lower than it is now).

    Hitboxes broken

    Here you can see the glitch in PvP. Seems like the hitbox doesn't just get stuck but desyncs completely - but not for everyone. Its also possible that Aggathor broke his own leg with that shot. Reminds me of a bug that was encountered in a earlier version in experimental (0.45?).
  25. Its a clothing list - and it even says "Paper Doll" - though its a little missleading as you should have to find clothes ingame to try them. Another difference is the usage of a color palette instead of three distinct colors - still red/yellow/green because its the best for most people (sorry colorblind users).
